Imperial Healthcare Center is a good center. The nurses are very skilled and very attentive to my dad, so I appreciate that. It's a clean facility and anytime we ask them for anything for my dad, they get it right away. So, overall, I like it. His room is shared with another person and they do physical therapy with him where they take him to a little gym, as well as occupational and speech therapy. It's just the building is a little older.

My uncle is doing OK at Imperial Healthcare Center. They're not neglecting his care, but I wouldn't want to put anybody there. People are screaming in the hallways and it just smells horrible. It's kind of a very sad place. Sometimes people try to escape and they're chasing people down all the time. I just hope there's better management of the residents who can't manage themselves.

The facility itself is not outstanding, but it is always clean and almost all of the staff is friendly and helpful. Staff availability and attitude is the most important thing to me as I visit several times a week. When there are issues or questions regarding my mother's care I can always find someone who can help me. Also, the kitchen staff are willing to make special items on request. During the first weeks after Mom's arrival at the facility she lost quite a bit of weight. We worked with a nutritionist and the kitchen staff and came up with a menu that suited her and she regained what she had lost. The grounds of the facility, while not extensive, are very well maintained and pleasant with lots of trees and a large sunny area. It is nice to be able to take her outside when the weather allowed. She really enjoys the change of scene. I want to again stress that the staff attitude is what really makes the place. We've been treated as adjuncts to Mom's care, not as interference.
