My father is in Magnolia Glen. He seems to have gotten a lot better. He was OK and then he had a stroke and they wouldn't let him stay there without the nursing care. He's in assisted living. We have hired private nurses. It's a nice place in a nice wooded area. I haven't been to the meals, but I hear they have great meals. I can only say good things about it. My dad always brags about how good the food is. The staff is nice. They helped me figure out why he wasn't getting his newspaper. The facility is very nice. They have all kinds of amenities there, an exercise room, pool, and nice walking trails. They have things posted on the bulletin board. He's limited in what he can do. Anywhere he goes, they have to take him in a wheelchair, but he does get outside and sits outside on the bench. Value for money is really good.

I particularly liked that Magnolia Glen had independent living with also healthcare. They had independent living on their own and they had independent living with different levels of packaged healthcare. Then, they have assisted living and they encouraged the intermingling of their populations. If somebody in assisted living wanted to eat in the dining hall of the independent living, they could do that. I liked that aspect. I liked the apartments and I looked at both the independent living and assisted living. I looked at two-bedroom apartments with one bath. The independent living had a full kitchen and the assisted living had a kitchenette. They had lovely gardens, a heated saltwater pool, a little auditorium theater, a physical therapy room, a library with computer access, a game room, a bistro or a pub, and walking paths. The whole facility backs up to a nature park. I did not eat there, but I saw the menu and the menu looked wonderful. They gave me a blueberry lemon cookie on my way out and it was delicious. I saw a resident doing a jigsaw puzzle and I saw a couple of people in what I call the gardens. They have a garden club and a woodworking club, and they have both a gentlemen's club and also a women's club. They occasionally get together once or twice a month for lunch, I think. Their activity room has Wii bowling and apparently, that's very popular among some of the men.

We toured Magnolia Glen, and it was beautiful. We really liked it, especially the outdoor area that was very pretty. I toured the independent living. That is what people are mostly interested in at that particular time. It was really very nicely decorated and very clean. I was really impressed. It was beautiful, and it looked very comfortable. I only met the young lady that took us around. She was very nice, very accommodating, very knowledgeable, and informative. She was really great. We really liked it. It was brightly, friendly, and airy.

My mother is staying at Magnolia Glen. I love the place, they are absolutely wonderful people, and they treat their seniors exceptionally well. They have managed the COVID outbreak exceptionally well. They offer just the highest quality of care and service to their seniors. My father just died in February, and he died in his apartment at Magnolia Glen. The staff cried when he died; they just loved my father, and that meant everything to me. They have exercise classes, art classes, and they play bridge. They have activities, they go out to restaurants, and they go to different activities around town. It is just outstanding. The place is beautifully kept, and they are just fabulous.

Magnolia Glen in Raleigh is a very nice place. The staff is very welcoming, kind, and accommodating. They try to work with you on your individual needs. They seem to know their residents well and they're working hard to protect them. The food there is really delicious. The rooms are nice and brand new.

I was very impressed with the tour that we were given at Magnolia Glen. They offered independent living with some additional assistance that can be added to the arrangement. That was very attractive, and very much what we were looking for. The person that gave us the tour was very good, very knowledgeable, and the rooms that we saw were very nice and well maintained. Some of the activities have been curtailed, but people were still engaged in different activities in the common areas, it was very pleasant going through the common areas, and I was impressed with the facility.

Magnolia Glen was very nice inside. I really liked them. I was there on my lunch break, so the staff quickly took me around to get a feel for the place. What I saw was really nice, and the location is perfect for me. The person who accommodated me during my tour was very good. They had a swimming pool, which stuck out in my mind. The entrance was a little old fashioned but OK.

Once people become more ill and require more care, Magnolia Glen pushes people to move out. They are not interested in helping with compassionate and loving end of life. They want active people who require little help or support. Even thought they were "assisted living" we had to pay for our own private help since there was not enough MG staff to help all the residents. If you have a family member looking for a place to stay until their death, look elsewhere unless you want them to be pushed out to a new place at the most vulnerable time of their life.

Magnolia warm was very nice. The staff was very warm, very nice, and very considerate. I don't have any complaints. I think it was a little bit higher priced than other places, and the rooms were small. They had singing time, bingo, and church times.

Magnolia Glen was also very attractive. The activities were very intellectually stimulating. What I did not like about it was that they only provide breakfast every day and 20 meals a month. You can have three meals a day, but you have to pay extra. The rooms were very nice. I met a lot of staff including the activities director and two of the marketing staff, and they were very nice and very committed.

Me and my wife went to Magnolia Glen for two months when we were unable to take care of each other just to get back on our feet. We were very satisfied with everything that took place there. We went in with the understanding that we would only be with them two or three months, and they were agreeable to that. Everything worked out fine. We had a two bedroom apartment, and it was very nice and compatible with our needs. They have a number of activities like trips that you could go on. They also have bridge if you wanted to play it as well as cards. The food was excellent.

Magnolia Glen definitely kept their residents very active. There were lots to do and a lot of food options. I really liked their food selections either in the cafeteria or the lunch room. You could get food anytime, or you could have it brought up to your room. They had a lot more activities, and they had a swimming pool and lots of stuff for the residents to do. The staff was very nice, and they were very friendly. I saw them greeting the residents by name. They back on to a nature park, so the whole back end was just a nice nature park.

Magnolia Glen had a nice location. It was very pretty too. The staff was very nice and professional. They have a library, games, puzzles, exercise, and movies as their activities. There wasn't enough visitor parking though.

Magnolia Glen was my favorite place out of every place that I looked at, very large, very clean, Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, but expensive. It is apartment like with two bedrooms, and they had unbelievable activities. I looked at their calendar of events for October and all the stuff that they had going on was amazing.

This community has very nice facilities. Their staff is competent and caring. The food leaves something to be desired. One thing I particularly like about Magnolia Glen is that they have a gym AND a swimming pool. It's really good for old people to stay healthy. They also are in a really convenient location, right in the middle of all of Raleigh's action. Seriously, though, they should work on the food. Old people need good food, too. Another good feature is their beauty salon. All people deserve to feel beautiful, no matter how old they are. I think that the rooms are a little too small. Could you imagine fitting all of the gems of life in a 400 hundred square foot room? Not me no way. Also, I think the prices are a little steep, but I suppose it makes sense on account of all the nice benefits that are available at magnolia glenn.

She had Parkinsons Disease and was progressing. The facility was very impressive. The staff was very welcoming and proffesional. My mother was hessitant due to being in an orphanage when she was young but otherwise was very happy with the place. My mother was able to tour the entire facility and met a resident and was able to go into her living space. The tenant was very encouraging to my mom and friendly. The expense was resonable and there was progress care there if needed. My mother choose not to live there because that we would put her there and forget about her. We tried to reassure her that would not happen but she choose to live with one of us instead.

My wife and I visited the place few weeks ago. The facility is at a good location. They offer a lot of options. A very nice facility with nice amenities. The place is vast, large windows, they have private bathroom. They have flexible meal plans and everybody is pleasant. It's a little bit costly but we really like a lot about it.

This is the kind of place I would want to go when I can no longer take care of myself. The living quarters and patient care available astound me. The nurses are fast and responsive, the living areas are spacious and there are many group areas available. People aren't just shuffled off to a room to spend what time they have left cloistered away. They are encouraged to mingle. The inside of the building is stylized to appear to be like an upscale apartment complex. The residents can personalize the space around their doors. There is space allocated so that these things don't interfere with mobility, and the hallways and doors are all extra wide. It's very quiet. You see more staff in the hallways than residents. They weren't left to wander from what I could tell. I didn't get the chance to check on things like food, but considering to whom they cater there probably aren't many options anywhere.

My husband's grandfather lives in this facility. We visit him there at least once a week. The location is nice (right near Crabtree Valley Mall) and it is easy to get to from both the Beltline and I40. Beautiful grounds all around the facility, we always walk with him to keep him active. The staff encourages us to take his grandfather out and about to enjoy all the amenities. The dining room is very nice and when we go during meal time we can really sense a community atmosphere. All the residents know each other and meet up in the large common rooms. It seems that most of the residents are more independent than in other places I have visited. The staff encourages this and helps to keep the resident interested and social and I feel that this shows in the happiness and independence of the community. If we would have placed his grandfather in any other home, I feel that the adjustment wouldn't have been as easy. In addition to the amenities (pool, restaurant dining, community activities and large grounds) the convenience of no lease, monthly rentals makes it easy on us to deal with changes in his grandfathers needs and our financial situation.

My favorite uncle has moved to a Raleigh, NC assisted living facility-Magnolia Glen. This is a senior community where the well-being and comfort of each guest is considered a top priority. Of course the grounds and buildings are beautiful, but for us it is the attitude and devotion shown by the staff that is so very special. The caregivers have called to give us regular updates which we appreciate very much. During our visits we have watched the staff interact with our uncle and other residents. What we notice most is the time that they spend with each individual. They really do try to respond promptly to requests for assistance, caregivers do not rush anyone and these people seem genuinely interested in being helpful. I am thrilled with the services, care and surroundings where my uncle is now living. Even the wellness instructor deserves kudos for creating a structured program in which every senior can participate. Although my uncle has minimal use of his left arm due to a stroke he is able to enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool and has become active in the yoga and aerobics classes. It is due to the patience and encouragement of the fitness team that he is once more rediscovering what those golden years are all about.

I recently visited a friend at this facility and was duly impressed with the overall atmosphere and attitude of the residents and the staff. I was reminded of a vacation lodge as we pulled up and parked and noticed that there were cottages as well as the main building, I assume for more independent lifestyles. When I entered the facility, everyone was so nice and I was actually escorted up to my friend's apartment. The whole place was immaculate and just seemed homey versus institutional. I spent several hours with my friend and we walked the trails that lead to the park in the back, we ate lunch in the dining area (food was great), we visited the indoor pool, and finally, we took the facility bus ride half a mile down to the mall for shopping. Overall, this is a great place and I would recommend it to others.
