My mom is at Legacy Heights Senior Living Community. It's clean. It's safe. The staff there are phenomenal. They take care of her, and they keep her involved. My mom is not sitting in her room all day. They offer physical therapy and occupational therapy. They do group activities. They've done outings on a bus. They had snow cones homes and parties with popcorn and games. They had somebody that came and sang and involved them. The food is excellent. The facility is beautiful. It feels like you're going into a little town as you enter through the front door. It's very warm and welcoming. It's clean and it smells good. It doesn't have that odor that a lot of facilities have. It's a little pricey, but considering the care that my mom is getting, I'm comfortable with it.

My mother-in-law is at Legacy Heights Senior Living Community. It's a very nice place, very clean, and they're very careful about the COVID protocols. The meals are good. So we're very happy with it. Compared to the other places, it just had a more homey feel to it, it didn't have an institutional feel, it's more like a home. So that's why she liked it better than other places. Their staff members are very attentive to her needs. And if she lets them know that she likes her meals a certain way or she wants a certain type of drink, they're very conscientious about providing that for future meals. Also, she needs physical therapy and they provide excellent physical therapy for her. There has been an outbreak of COVID in the facility, so they haven't been doing many activities lately. Each floor has its own dining room, and the physical therapy room is right down the hall, so it's very good.

We came into Legacy with high hopes. Facility needs some care, but we could live with that. They are severely understaffed, most of the previous staff have left, lots of temp aides, many who are not happy and it shows in the care they give. Long wait times when you press your call button ( often up to an hour), left on the toilet multiple times for up to 45 minutes, night staff surly. All in all, this place came highly recommended from a few years ago but has fallen so far. Please be careful putting your loved one in here.

My husband was in Legacy Heights Community, and I would not recommend that place ever. He was in the memory care unit there. He had jewelry stolen, he would always beg me not to say anything because they would be mean to him. When he was hospitalized, they told me he could not go back. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks, and when I went into his room, it was disgusting. The bathroom was filthy, dirty clothes on the floor, unmade bed, and he had not been there for two weeks. When I went to collect all of his belongings, his wallet was missing, and there was some bedding missing. And it took them about 30 minutes to locate his walker, so that means they never even tried to get him up. The couple of staff members that I came in contact with once I could visit him, were fine. My husband said that the food wasn't good, it wasn't enough. The building was fine, but once you get inside the rooms it was filthy. They have lots of activities.

Legacy Heights Senior Living Community is excellent. The staff has been there a long time, and they're very helpful. We're pleased with them. My mother-in-law's room is very nice. She has dementia so they have interactive learning. The dining area is acceptable and good.

I would encourage you to not subject your loved one to the neglect my MIL suffered at Legacy Heights. I am sorry we ever brought her here. It was border line abuse and I credit the facility's lack of care to the gangrene she contracted and died from. My family has suffered too much to follow through on legal action but if I can prevent one family from making the mistake we made, I will. I have a platform and a long memory.

My mother has been a resident here for a year and a half and she loved it. The staff and caregivers are wonderful and really give the residents lots of attention and love. Very clean, bright & cheerful. We toured several facilities before deciding on Legacy Heights and couldn't be happier with our choice.

Legacy Heights Community was more expensive, and they didn’t have the Medicaid option. It was very lovely, and the rooms were very spacious.

Legacy Heights was gorgeous, and the staff was really good. It was a really nice place with plenty of things to do. It was like being on a cruise ship. They would give you something to do every so often. They had dining areas and areas where you can meet with everyone else.

This facility is fabulous! It is ALWAYS neat, clean and professionally staffed. From the minute you walk up, you can see their attention to detail. The front porch is beautiful, manicured, welcoming and inviting. The parlor, dining rooms, residences and hallways are all always clean and bright. ALL the staff (maintenance, house keeping, medical/nursing/aides, dietary/dining, activities) clearly try their best to make this a wonderful place to live. They are professional, polite and nurturing. The food is outstanding! There are always delicious options available. The facility is very homey and never feels huge or institutional. The dining rooms are small and intimate, allowing the residents to really get to know each other. I am so happy that my parents are there, safe, sound and well cared for. Thank you, Legacy Heights, for peace of mind.

Legacy Heights Senior Living Community was a lovely place, but they did not have on-site rehabilitation, and one of my parents-in-law needs more care. The location is convenient to where I live. If my father-in-law needed to go to rehab, we would have to transport him back and forth, which would be very inconvenient for us. The staff was lovely. The apartment we saw was really nice.

Legacy Heights is a small facility, but it was very charming. It was very clean, and the people that lived there seemed happy and alert. They all seemed to enjoy their stay there. I was there on a sunny day, and people were sitting outside. It was very inviting, and it was decorated in a traditional way. I felt very comfortable there.

My father was there, and it didn't work out. My father would have been back there, but there was some miscommunication and misunderstanding. We have looked at a bunch of different places in Charlotte, and Legacy Heights was fairly new; it was bright and had nice-sized rooms, and it was nice. They had music and different things, they would be doing like puzzles, and they had story time. Everything was good, and I don't really have anything bad to say at all. For certain levels of Alzheimer's, yes I would recommend them. In advanced stages, I don't know.

I didn't like Legacy Heights at all. They reminded me of some of the nursing homes I used to go to. The services seemed OK and the lady who showed us around. I just didn't like it, and I wouldn't put my wife in there. The residents were just sitting around and watching TV with not much activities going on. It looked kind of old and not modern and up-to-date

My mom is in Legacy, and she is very happy there. We love it. Everybody is great. They are wonderful, nice, very helpful, and very personable. The room is very nice. I have tried the food, and it is good. They give them choices, and if they don't like them, they give them something else. But with the choices that they have, everyone is usually happy. They have all kinds of activities. They have entertainers who come in. They have social hours, like ice cream socials and popcorn socials. They have Wii bowling, bingo, and rosary. They have something all the time. You can either go to everything, or you can pick your choice.

We chose Legacy Heights for my husband because his two daughters live just two miles from there, and I also have a home there. It is very nice, and it is made of brick inside and out. He will be in the memory care unit, and they have the room set up in a circle, where they can walk in the evening. They are very nice with nice sizes. You can take your own furniture in and decorate it your own way, or you can use the furniture that they have. Their dining room is set up with tablecloths, colorful dishes, and things like that. They have lot of interactions with them. They have several activities going on. They say they do not let them sit in their rooms and do nothing. They are constantly in motion, so I think that sounds nice to me. I don't know if he will participate in any of them, but at least he has the chance if he wants to. Everyone I talk with seems to be very nice, and everyone I know who lives there, their family seem to be pleased with the situation.

Legacy looked very nice, and it was close to us. The residents were participating in the activities. The people were sitting in a common area and they were playing games.

I had moved my father at Legacy Heights. We chose this facility because it was recommended to us and because of its location. For what it is, it is a good facility. It offered good service and good staff. The staff seemed to be professional and seemed to know what they are doing although I'm not there almost every day so I would not know all the details. Their rooms are adequate. Their food is good. I am not really familiar with their activities, but I know they have bingo and they have movie time. They have a social director that sets up their activities.

I thought Legacy Heights was decorated in a very cheery way and the location was good for us. The staff were very professional, very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. There were various field trips and they had games and songs. They had a library and a parlor. They were in the process of remodeling so I think when they get that done, it would be really nice.

My feelings towards this facility were very mixed. In the beginning my grandfather enjoyed his time there but he was being fed hot dogs with chili sauce, which didn't make sense to me as he is a diabetic. It wasn't very stuffy like the other places and the environment was great. We were able to hangout outside and enjoy the day while he was there.

I had taken my Mom who has Alzheimers Disease to the Memory Care Unit of Legacy Heights for respite care. She was there for a month. During that time, when I went to visit her, on 2 occassions I was unable to find her. (Thank goodness it was a lock down unit) The facility was aware that my Mom needed help with walking, so when I couldn't find her I was very upset. Once I found her sitting on the floor all alone by the laundry room. No one was aware she was missing. The most disturbing thing that happened was they lost her DNR. How do you lose a DNR. Although there are some very good CNA's at this facility, some I felt were very lazy. I would not recommend the Memory Care Unit of this facility to anyone.

We're very happy about Legacy Heights Senior Living. It's a very nice place, comfortable, and homey. It has a big winding staircase, it's very inviting. My parents are very happy. We've been through a long search. It's great and the activities are wonderful. The activities director is phenomenal. I've seen him in action. The only issue is my dad, because he may have more health concerns than they can handle. He just keeps getting urinary tract infection and he may just need a little bit more monitoring like a skilled nursing facility. We're not quite sure right now that they can handle it because it's an assisted living. That would be the only concern, but we're very happy with them.
