The Haven in the Village at Carolina Place

My brother lives in The Haven & The Laurels in the Village at Carolina Place. Everybody there is very nice and very helpful. They seem to care about the residents. The place is clean. They've kept it very clean, unlike most places where it kind of stinks. This one does not. It is well cared for. They had outside activities. They took the residents to the store or for fun outings. Everybody there was great. I don't have anything negative to say about it at all. The facility is great and reasonably priced. The food was fine. My brother has a single room with a bathroom. No shower. They come in and clean for him. They change the sheets and do his laundry and everything and he doesn't have to do much for himself. It was nice. It was like you're in a little hotel.

My husband will move into The Haven & The Laurels in the Village at Carolina Place. The residents seemed happy, and it was very clean. It did not have long hallways, and the common areas were very open and sunny. The food was very good. The memory care unit was a separate unit all on one floor. The outdoor areas were secured and accessible for the residents. The residents' rooms were adjacent to the common areas, so they could walk around in the evenings if they wanted to, and it's like a small town. Like they've got a hairdressing salon and an ice cream shop. It's all set up on the inside like a small town, so it feels like a little village on the inside. The staff was lovely.
