I am a resident of 305 West End Assisted Living. I chose this place because it's right around the corner from my sister. I have one room with a nice long hall. It's got a little kitchenette, and it's pleasant. The food is good. I think they do have arts and crafts, and they have some amenities, but I don't use them. Everybody seems very nice.

305 West End Assisted Living is an urban setting. It's assisted living. It's basically for people who need the extra care for assisted living. It's a big apartment building in New York; it is right on the river. It has two full floors for memory care. This was a couple of months ago, we've all been vaccinated, and they've all been vaccinated, but they would not let people see those facilities in person. They just showed us the rooms for assisted living, which were extremely nice, and most of them looked over the river. They're beautiful apartments. They have two restaurants, but those were not open at the time. It's very expensive. It's an extremely well-appointed place, very beautifully done. They had restaurants and little cafes kind of coffee place, that was a kind of a lounge area again, and they're very nicely done. They have separate rooms that you could have meals with family. All of those are very nice facilities. They have a nurse on duty, but they did not have skilled care. Basically, for anything that requires more than just a nurse, a doctor would come to visit, but they didn't have a doctor on duty. Any major medical issues, you'd be sent to hospitals. But because it's in the middle of New York, they have all sorts of cultural events taking people to things, so it was very attractive. I'm thinking seriously about this place if necessary when the time comes.
