Very kind staff, good food and clean. My Father has lived there for 2 years and is treated very well not only by front line staff but also upper management Mary Ellen and the new owner Joe. It’s not easy taking care of an assisted living but they do a great job!

My son is at Symphony Manor and some things are happening that are objectionable, and they have a large turnover of staff. They don't have any medical people there at all. It's a very old building, but the interior is very clean and well taken care of. They have one maintenance staff member, and they haven't fixed my son's dresser yet. The staff is very friendly. My son seems to like the dining room and he says the food is good.

My mom has been at St. Elizabeth's Home for over 10 years now. It is in her hometown. My mom lost her short-term memory, so we put her there because she knew everybody around. Also she could afford it. It was not as expensive as some of the other facilities. It is a Catholic facility, so there is a chapel there. She is able to go to the chapel. They have some enclosed grounds, so she is able to go outside. That is some big thing for us. However, their rooms are small and old. My mother's room hasn't been painted in the 10 years that she has been there. It is not dirty, but they don't have the money for upkeep. Her room is also small. They have a community bathroom out in the hall and there is only one shower, so she has to go down for a shower. It is not the greatest place, but when my mom's money ran out, they didn't make her go into a double room. They let her stay in her private room because they knew it would be upsetting to her. They accommodated us with that. The staff is very kind and very nice and that's a plus too. However, the food is not good. She says it's horrible. Also she doesn't like any of their activities, like bingo. She considers them baby games. My mother is 92 but she is a very active and intelligent woman, so she is kind of bored there. Once a year though, they would have a family picnic. It was very nice overall.
