We visited Lindell Manor while searching for an assisted living facility in St. Louis for our uncle. He has lived in the region for most of his life - so he has a lot of friends and family there. We were comforted to know that there were plentiful health care options in the area - since our uncle has some health issues. The outside grounds were well taken care of and nicely appointed. The foyer was decorated with fresh flowers. Everyone we could see looked content and well taken care of. There are plenty social activities -- from local parties and events to holiday gatherings for every religious denomination. The library has a nice book selection, which is added to regularly by charities, the local library, family and visitors. The variety of year-round events and outings was impressive. We could see that our uncle would be adequately intellectually stimulated there. Even in cooler months - there is plenty for residents to participate in. The work-out facilities were better than many we've seen; from the modern machines to the instructors who offer individual training and classes. The fitness and wellness programs are designed to encourage participation from all of the residents - regardless of their physical situation. They seemed to have plans designed for all levels of activity. All of the staff was pleasant and friendly. The rooms were spacious and homey. The dining options were communal, but there was a semi-private dining room for friends, family and other guests. The food options were fresh, healthy and what we tried tasted very good. This is a well-tended assisted living facility that has much to offer its residents.
