I've looked at Heritage House. It's an old building. Maintenance could be better. It has a pervasive odor of cooking smells all throughout the building. The apartments are old and not terribly well-kept. I would say they were mediocre. There are not as many organized activities as we have here at this location, but they have some activities and they're on the bus route for the Independence. It stops regularly to pick up people. I didn't look into activities very thoroughly because once I saw the size of the apartments, I realized I wasn't going to be happy there. I would rate the staff a three because they didn't seem as friendly and open as I would have expected to what could have been a prospective tenant. It was more a case of "I've got other things to do, so let's get this over with so I can get back to my job." They have a very small tenant-run library. It wasn't well organized. They have a small community room. It just gives the impression of being dark and cramped. It's a big building, but they've minimized the square footage per tenant, so it just feels small.
