"Tiffany Springs Senior Living Community was very clean. The staff was very knowledgeable. They had great amenities that I enjoyed. The apartment seemed very spacious and it had a lot of light and easy accommodations. They had a gym and a walking trail outside."

"I toured Senior Star at Wexford Place. It was very nice and had lots of activities for the residents. They were having some kind of a special program where people go out on the patio. People seemed happy there. It was it was a nice facility. They didn't have any skilled level there. They gave me some fresh baked cookies as I left, and they were delicious. They had libraries and computers. They had electronic games and craft rooms. They had a lot of things for people to do and a lot of puzzles."

"We really enjoyed our tour of Riverstone. It was fantastic. We were there for three hours, they went over every little detail with us, and we really appreciated that. The room was great. We looked at three different rooms and we decided on one of the larger 2-bedrooms with a balcony. I liked all the activities they had. I liked their dining, we met the chef, they had a little area that had a fireplace that's nice and cozy, and it had a little bar if you want to bring your own alcohol or wine or whatever and drink. They had a nice exercise room, and you can get a garage there for extra $85 a month, which we're really impressed with. They had valet parking and a concierge that will take care of your needs. If you want to book an outing or whatever, they'll take care of all the arrangements for you. They have a bus that will take you to doctors' appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Mondays and Wednesdays will be shopping days. After the Covid is over, they have all kinds of little bus trips. My husband was really impressed with the prime ribs at the Sunday brunch. They even had a sign up welcoming us to the establishment. Everybody greeted us. The woman and her husband manage the place and live there, and the woman welcomed us and told us about everything else and that if the person we talked to wasn't there, to let her know and they'll take care of anything 24 hours a day. We really liked it. It was updated and modern. They're #1 on our list right now. My husband said he liked the kitchen cabinets and the appliances. They had flat top stoves. It had a nice atrium. He didn't really have anything negative about it. He would feel comfortable living in a place like that. It almost has a cruise-like atmosphere. There are many things you can do there instead of just being in your room or being just in the atrium. Their theater was great. I was very impressed with that. It's close to shopping, and they had a bus set up. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. He's excited about moving out of the house and going into something like that. It will take the work away, like working on the yard, all the maintenance, all the headache, and just go enjoy yourself and have a lot of fun with the people. We met some of them in the hallway. Even with the Covid, we had our masks on, just to get a feel for the place. We talked to the hairdresser and everybody was very friendly and down to earth."

"I toured Connect55+ Independence. It's a newer building, about the same age as the one I'm in now. The square footage for each apartment is a little smaller than what I have here. They have a large turnover of management, and they can't seem to find someone who really interacts well with the residents. Their activities are about average for a senior building. They have fewer socializing opportunities than we do in the building here. They don't have an organized activity director, I don't believe. The facilities were clean and well kept. Nothing spectacular, just very utilitarian."

"I liked the cleanliness, space, friendliness of the employees and how they set up their community. The staff was very knowledgeable about their residents and what they offer. They gave me a little bag of cookies from their kitchen. In the independent living facility, they had a stove and refrigerator. In the assisted living facility, they had a mini-fridge. They do have outdoor spaces and a patio area for games and seating."

"I had an in-person tour of The Parkway Senior Living. They had awesome activities for the residents. It's a beautiful facility. All of the people I met, the staff, and the other residents I met were extremely nice and caring. It was just way outside of our price range. The menu was very varied. It was like it would cater to anybody's needs."

"I feel like I'm being spoiled here. We have good people that will help me. I just go down for food and they take care of me with housekeeping. It's a nice place. They give you a menu for the week ahead and you pick your entrees. They usually have pretty good choices here. I've not had anything that I had to turn back. On the weekends, it's strictly buffet. On the weekdays, when you go down, they just serve you and you get a variety of drinks. They're just good. The servers know your name and they anticipate what you're going to want to drink. The food tastes good. They have a lot of activities available. Most of them are resident-led. They don't have fancy facilities, but we don't need anything fancy at this point in time. They have a courtyard where they can go out and have a firepit or barbecue outside. They have a door park, and we have some residents that have dogs, so it works out pretty well. Mainly I have interactions with the servers, and that's good. We don't have a swimming pool here, but we have an exercise room, a couple of game rooms, puzzle rooms, and stuff like that."

"Armour Oaks Senior Living was a nice place. They have nice apartments. I haven't tried their food, but I saw some of it and it looked really good. They have a lot of activities and it would be a good place for my brother. It was a nice visit. They did a good job. I think their floor plans were pretty much the same. Each room has what they call a sunroom, which is a place where a person can go and just kind of relax a little bit. That was very nice. I looked at a one-bedroom. I think it's a good place. I'm going to take my brother there and let him look at the place himself. It's not perfect, but it's nice."

"I have chosen this community. It was bright, clean, and friendly. The room is a one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. It has a bedroom, a bath, and a washer and dryer. They showed me a calendar of the things that they do, like games they play, the places they go, the bingo, and that sort of thing. Two meals are included. They have a library and a room where they have a theater and a chapel."

"We went over to The Princeton Senior Living, and we absolutely love it. It has a lot of amenities for us. They were wonderful and very friendly. They made you feel at home, and they explained everything. The rooms were a good size, and they had one- and two-bedrooms. The entire place was beautiful. We passed by their dining area, and it was really pretty. We have not tried their food, but they said we could. The building was absolutely tip-top, and parking was very easy."

"Garden Villas of Lenexa was a very nice place. The residents were very happy. I actually know someone who has been there and enjoyed it very much. I liked their services. The apartment they showed me was a studio and it was nice and clean. It just wasn't what I was looking for. There were a lot of activities going on. People were doing various things like playing cards, and they were actually getting ready to do another activity. The staff was very pleasant."

"I went to The Madison Senior Living. It's very open. I didn't see a lot of diversity in the community, but the staff was nice. The patients that were walking around were pretty friendly. The dining area was nice. It was open and bright with a lot of windows, but I didn't try the food. The staff who gave the tour was nice. He answered all my questions and answered things that I didn't think I needed answers to."

"Liberty at Shoal Creek's rooms are big. They have one- and two-bedrooms. They also have food if you want to eat. The staff was nice. It's a nice place off the highway, and the stores are closed. It's convenient and centrally located to everything. It seemed pretty quiet because it's got open lands on both sides of it."

"We toured the Linden Woods Village. I liked it, it was very nice. We saw a one-bedroom. The only thing I didn't like was how far my mother would be from everything. The lady that helped us was very nice. I saw people playing cards."
