"I had a nice tour of Elliott Place. I love the place; I just couldn't afford it. And the staff was not offering any kind of promos or anything. He was nice but not a whole lot of information was given other than the paperwork. It's a nice place. It's well-kept and very clean. There were a lot of amenities and features. They offer food, transportation, crafts and activities. I look forward to it. I also talked to a couple of residents there. I really like that they have locks on the doors so that anybody can't just come in."

"I tour St Anthony's; I like they have all levels of care, The views from the apartments were beautiful and spotless. The food is incredible. the activities and exercise were great always had residents busy. The staff was so friendly and nice."

"Our Lady of Mercy will forever be my first recommendation to anyone in the KC area asking about Assisted Living. We moved my grandma there after she was neglected at another facility. The difference in care, culture and community at Our Lady of Mercy was such a breath of fresh air. The staff care so deeply for the residents and treat them like members of their own family. The community of residents is vibrant and fun. This is a special place and the staff here should be so proud of the hard work they do to provide love and dignity to those that deserve it most."

"I toured both assisted living and independent living at The Wellington Senior Living. It's all in one building. It was a really nice place. It had a heated pool and restaurant-like dining. The food was very nice."

"Armour Oaks Senior Living was a nice place. They have nice apartments. I haven't tried their food, but I saw some of it and it looked really good. They have a lot of activities and it would be a good place for my brother. It was a nice visit. They did a good job. I think their floor plans were pretty much the same. Each room has what they call a sunroom, which is a place where a person can go and just kind of relax a little bit. That was very nice. I looked at a one-bedroom. I think it's a good place. I'm going to take my brother there and let him look at the place himself. It's not perfect, but it's nice."

"It's quiet there at Brookdale Wornall Place, even though it's kind of in a busy area. It doesn't have anything behind it. There are fields there. Even though you're not very far off the road, it still feels like you're out in the country. The room has a small kitchen and a refrigerator. We looked at a couple of one-bedrooms. The staff who toured me around was very knowledgeable. It seems like he has been in the business for several years. He was very patient. I had my dog with me, and he took that well, too. The place was clean. I didn't smell anything. They got friendly staff. When you walk in, they got a large entryway. You don't have to walk up any stairs or anything. I noticed that they got ramps. We took the elevator, and we took the stairway, too. They have an underground, which was nice."

"We are on the waiting list for Mission Chateau. We chose them because the people we met and talked to, including the person who showed us around and gave us the tour was spectacular, and that was a very important reason. And the second major reason was the financial model that was used, there was no large buy-in upfront. The person who toured us was friendly, professional, thorough, and a good listener. The place had the things we were looking for. I can't do much physically anymore except swim, and it does have a swimming facility. There are all sorts of activities, clubs, and gatherings that we can choose to get involved in if we want to."

"My mother-in-law moved into Carnegie Village Senior Living Community. One of the things we like the most is that her apartment is very up-to-date, very spacious, and even though she doesn't cook, or cook much, it still has a full kitchen. So, it really makes it feel more like a home. It's very upkept, very clean. They are in the process of updating all of the outer areas of the assisted living. Right now it's a little dated, but they were going to start construction soon. The independent living is completely up-to-date, very beautiful, and very attractive. I'm hoping that the assisted living will look that good when they finish with it too. They have been very responsive to any concerns that we have had. I'm there a lot with my mother-in-law, and they have come in to explain to her -- for example, she was going to have physical therapy, and she had not met the therapist, but the woman stopped in earlier in the day just to introduce herself and explain to her that she would be coming by later to do the physical therapy. I just thought that was just a nice touch. They didn't just show up and say, "Hey, we're doing physical therapy." I just thought they did a great job. They do have a beauty salon right there at the entrance to the assisted living. The problem is my mother-in-law is not really willing to do a lot of things. I do know that they post activities every week. They post them in the elevator, they post them in the hallways, they send out fliers to all the residents. I've even been there when a staff member came by just to let my mother-in-law know that bingo was getting ready to take place, and if she'd like to come down. They've just done a great job of trying to encourage her to participate."

"I went to The Madison Senior Living. It's very open. I didn't see a lot of diversity in the community, but the staff was nice. The patients that were walking around were pretty friendly. The dining area was nice. It was open and bright with a lot of windows, but I didn't try the food. The staff who gave the tour was nice. He answered all my questions and answered things that I didn't think I needed answers to."

"I will be moving in. I like the cleanliness, the bright colors, the friendly people, and the overall energy. I chose a 1-bedroom with a living room, kitchen, bath, and balcony. It's an all-new facility, so the apartment was very clean and would be adequate for me. They have a library, a gym, and a screened-in porch for sitting with visitors if you want to. They have two outdoor gathering areas, they have storage units you can rent, and covered parking is available. They have gathering rooms at the end of each floor for family visiting, meals, and so forth with family. I'm excited about choosing that place, and I think it'll be very good for me."

"The representatives with whom we toured at Brookdale Overland Park 119th were very thorough. They also had so many amenities that fit my parents. It was just a very active community, and my parents are very active, very engaged, very social, and want to be involved in everything. That is exactly what this place has to offer. If you go there, you don't have to do those things, but the amount of activities and things to do, and the availability to get around town, just really appealed to my parents. The people that they engaged with on the tour were so excited to meet them and couldn't wait for them to move in. They were telling them to come see their apartments, or that they'll love the second floor, or the fact that you can have a dog and a cat there. Everybody was just super excited, so I don't know how you couldn't fall in love with it. The apartments were beautiful, and we saw all the different options. They had a 1-bedroom apartment, a 1-bedroom with a den, and a 2-bedroom apartment. They just had a wide variety, and within that range, they had different types. For instance, they had 2-bedroom apartments, but they had different types, so they had a lot of options. They provide a guaranteed two meals a day, but it is on the honor system, so if you go down for three, they're not going to."

"The Atriums was beautiful. It had really lovely dining facilities. The rooms were beautiful. It had lots of activities. It had a van that transports residents to appointments. The people were really friendly. It had a pool and an outdoor space to walk your dog. It had a gardening space. It had all kinds of wonderful things. They had this upper level that had wall-to-floor windows that overlooked all the trees, and it had penthouse rooms for assisted living, and rooms attached to a patio. They had all kinds of different options for living. They had lots of staff. I saw the menu and it looked great and had lots of options for food. It's close to everything. It was close to the hospitals, shopping, and pharmacies."

"I toured Connect55+ Kansas City. What I liked the best was how informative the property manager was about giving the information pertaining to the complex. I thought she was very nice and very willing to accommodate whatever it took for me to be able to apply for the apartment. The structure looks very nice and clean on the exterior. The hallways and the apartment she showed me were also very nice and clean. It was a large apartment, and the layout was typical."
