The Pinnacle of Southaven

My mother has been in The Pinnacle of Southaven for a week now. She is still adjusting. The staff is very helpful. My mother seems to be doing as well as she can be. Right now, they're going to give her some more therapy and see if that helps, and they're getting a few things started for her. The room is nice and comfortable. My mother has her own room, and there are open areas that she can go to as well. There's a separate dining room and they encourage everybody to go there for their meals. I talked to the activities director. If they're over in the area where the assisted living is, they'll take the memory care patients over there for activities if it's something special. The main thing that made it the choice for me is its proximity. It's close to where I live. I can go see her any time of the day or night here. I can even take her out to go to appointments or anywhere she wants to go to. Everything that she normally goes to prior to needing 24/7 care is in this area, so that makes it a little easier and less hard on her. It's closer to everything that she needs. Their staff is really great. My mother hasn't had a chance to do a lot of activities, but the activities director is very nice. She sat and talked with me for a while and explained some of the things they do offer, so I'm looking forward to that for my mother.

My sister is at The Pinnacle of Southaven and he enjoys it there. I do, too. She's been there before for respite care and so that's why it was comfortable for me to move her back there after I couldn't find any that's closer to me. She's in memory care and she's got a beautiful room. The upkeep is nice. The staff are also nice. They give her all her meds and she's got three meals a day. They go on outings in the spring and summer, they got a beauty shop there and a large dining area. It's nice.

The amenities are great at Hermitage Gardens of Southaven. It's primarily an assisted living and memory care unit. They have a small group of tenants, but they have a large staff. Mom has been there about a month, and they're giving her excellent care. Everyone is very caring and friendly. The food is not bad, and the dining room is good. There's a little bit of things going on everyday. This weekend, they had a luau, and they have a movie day once or twice a month. They have an actual little theater there.

My mother likes the Hermitage Gardens of Southaven. Everything is on one floor. There are no elevators or stairs. She also likes the people. She is excited about moving in next week.

I'm very happy with Hermitage Gardens for my mom. I chose this facility because it was close to where I work, so it is convenient for me to get to her. Aside from assisted living, they also have a memory care facility. They also have a nice dining room. The staff there is very nice and takes care of everything. They check on their residents all day long. My mom gets her medicine on a regular basis and every time they give her her medicines, they would go into her room and check on her. They also clean her room once a week and change her beddings every two weeks.
