The very first time I went to this facility to visit my grandmother, I thought it was a fairly good place to be, given the fact that it was a retirement home. Little did I know that the elderly aren't too keen on being in such places. The staff was always around, but didn't seem to be around. Perhaps they were giving all visitors time with their loved one. My grandmother didn't seem to enjoy being there, despite the various activities they held on daily basis. The food menu was exemplary. I would say that besides the hospital like smell that permeated throughout the facility, it was a pretty decent place. My grandmother did after a year however, decide to leave the facility and return home. Home being Hawaii.
