"The people at The Windsor Senior Living Community were very pleasant. Melanie, the one that gave us the tour, was very resourceful. She gave us good information, and I would recommend that place to anybody. They were serving Salisbury steaks that day, and they gave me a sample of it. It was very good. The place was very nice, clean, and smelled very good."

"Brookdale Mandeville was recommended by the social worker at the nursing home where my father was doing rehabilitation after a stroke. We went and visited there, it’s lovely, and they served us lunch. We have to meet with some of the other residents, and they were very happy there. We then made arrangements for my father to move there, and it has been a wonderful experience. The staff was pleasant, helpful, and available. They have activities all throughout the day; they have exercise classes, bingo, live concerts, cooking demonstrations, birthday parties, arts and crafts, and gardening. The room is lovely and very nice. "

"My mother is signed up to go to Avanti. They have a reading room and rooms where you can entertain the grandchildren with additional games. While we were there, they were doing some kind of Halloween game activity with all of the residents. They have quite a few things going on. The room looks like an apartment. They have a kitchen set-up and everything. It doesn't look utilitarian; it looks like a home, which is why we chose it. They felt like family when we walked in. They called to check on my mother even though we haven't moved in yet. The staff was warm and welcoming. They want to know what it is that my mother wants. The food is delicious. They really make an effort to have food in there that my mother would like to eat."

"My dad was at Azalea Estates of Sidell before he passed away. It’s a very nice community. The staff was great. I would definitely recommend them. "

"Fidelis Northshorez II was a little bit newer than the other place we looked at, and it was gorgeous. The exterior was beautiful, and the inside was wonderful. The owner was great. My experience with them was five-stars. It was different from a commercial, larger place, but that's what I liked about it. It was great. I was impressed."

"Fidelis Northshore I was wonderful. The two owners were very hands-on, knowledgeable, very friendly, and spent a lot of time with me (more than once), whenever they were available. I thought that the care was excellent. They really cared, and when my husband was there they would Facetime with me three times a day. It was very clean. It was a home, and I liked that when you walked in you felt like you were in somebody's house, except they had a lot of recliners and things like that. It was very homey. I went to the bathroom once, and it was just sparkling clean. It was on a wooded two-acre lot, and it looked just like a house. It was well maintained outside, too. I was never there for a meal, but I think they fed him all the time with snacks and everything. I walked in once, and they were all sitting at a table coloring and doing different things. He was at a different facility that was very expensive and the nursing type care was very good, but I think Fidelis Northshore I was a better place, and it was a much better value all the way around."
