"I don't know how to begin this but by saying excellent. The service and care that the staff provided for my sister was huge! The staff called me and gave me updates on my sister and gave her so much warmth. The faciality called me during Hurricane Ida with daily updates telling they had Food, Water & Power -- plenty of air conditioning. I never needed to worry. If you need help they are a great people to have along with you. St Catherine's provided hospice there for my sister and made her very comfortable. In her final hours even in the middle of the night they called to inform me that it was getting close to the end. I went and they comforted me as well. I held my big sisters hand to her last breath, I love her so much. It pains me that i lost her. But, she is in a better place. "My dad moved into St. Anthony's Nursing Home. The place is pretty old. But as far as the care, I feel like the care is very good. The staff is very nice and very reliable. They call me for everything that changes with my dad. Any changes, they notify me. The rooms are good sized. The dining area is large and spacious."

"The staff at Jefferson Healthcare is very attentive. I'm very pleased with my dad's doctor. I have nothing but good comments to make about this place. I would rate the staff and the CNAs a 5. Most nursing homes are really small and I would prefer the room to be larger, but I cannot afford it. I only visited for a short time, but I am very pleased with the staff. "

"Belle Maison is close to where I live. It seems clean. They're attentive to mom and they report to me what's going on. I've had meetings with them about her care. I've seen the food and it looks good and balanced, something she would be able to eat. "

"Rooms are clean. Communication with staff is near impossible. Don’t even attempt to get upper management on the phone. Staff very skilled at passing the blame whenever things don’t get done, which is constantly. A lot of theft also. Laundry incompetent, lost clothes, dirty laundry piles up for days. Understaffed and likely underpaid. DO NOT put your loved ones in this place especially since Commcare took over. Daily mass is the only plus but not worth the stunning incompetence and outright negligence of this place."

"The reviews listed on this site are very old and are out of date. The facility is named St. Bernard Nursing and Rehab and the care is great! My aunt just completed her therapy and is back home and can't stop praising the staff there. She is very appreciative of how kind and friendly everyone is and wants to go back there to volunteer as soon as she can. The facility deserves the 5 stars from me. "

"I place my father in Covenant Homes. The community is great. He has been there for three weeks now. The rooms are dated. The way the facility looks is not very good, but it is very clean. The food is very good. The staff is wonderful, and the security is fantastic. There are codes, all the doors are locked, and you will only know the code if you have family there. "

"The rehabilitation/nursing home was clean and the workers were always friendly. There were always events going on ie: carolers at Christmas time from different churches, crafts,Mardi Gras activities. There was an indoor smoking area, so the residents didn't have to go outside, but it was safe for the other residents with smoke alarms and big vent system to ventilate the area. They had a bus that would take the residents out to the doctor or on group shopping trips. Visiting was encouraged when the family was able to visit, not necessarily at regulated times. The food was usually tasty and snacks were readily available. My mom broke her kneecap, and resided there for 3 months. While she may not have "enjoyed" her stay, the family felt comfortable with her in there. It was good. "

"My mom was at Unity Nursing Home. The facility was not clean. Their first floor airconditioning unit was broken. We have to bring her fan. After I complained about the heat, she was transferred to the second floor, and it was extremely cold up there in the room that she was in. She was there for a rehab because she had a stroke, but she wasn't getting any physical therapy at all. My mom needed round-the-clock care but they didn't come in and check on her as regularly as I wanted. "
