My mom is at The Orchard. She is in hospice care right now. It's very clean and very nice. The staff are very professional. Because my mom is in hospice care, she doesn't participate in a lot of activities. However, they do provide some hobbies. The hospice care is very good because they're very attentive. They keep her very clean and very satisfied. The staff are very attentive, very helpful and very professional. There were some administrative problems as far as the staff. They hadn't been as helpful with the paperwork as they should have been.

The Orchard was really nice and clean. I've seen that there's a lot for the residents there, so I wouldn't mind going there. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. They answered any questions and tried to explain all of it before we even had a chance to ask the question back.

We went to The Orchard for a tour. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The memory care is a fairly new facility within the last three years, so it's so clean and it did not have a smell to it. The rooms, if you have a roommate, were divided by a wall which we loved. You share the living space and the bathroom, but your bedroom is walled off, which is nice. There's a bunch of activities. They have live music. They have activities every day. They have a courtyard and a community room with TVs and that sort of thing as well.

The Orchard was really beautiful. When I walked through the front door, it was like walking into an atrium with all the plants and natural light coming in. I felt like my mother would be well taken care of there. They had a lot of activities to get them to socialize with the other residents instead of sitting in their little apartments all the time. They offer a lot for them and I would recommend it to anyone. The rooms had a lot of natural light too, and they were very accommodating for senior citizens. They showed me a studio apartment with a little kitchenette when you walked in the door. You had the option of bringing your own furniture and decorating it as you wanted. It had a lot of safety features in the bathrooms. I fell in love with it. The staff who assisted me with the tour was fabulous. She was very informative and didn't try to hide anything. Everything was laid out on the table, and how things worked. Another thing I liked about it was they take them to WalMart, they take them to different places. They had a chef on staff. The food, from what I saw and was told by some of the residents, was divine. The dining room was beautiful with skylights and it was very open.

We toured The Orchard. It was bigger. The apartment itself was nicer and larger. It was more expensive, and you had to pay your electricity bill each month in addition to the fee that they charged. That was probably what I like least about that. They have onsite memory care, assisted living, and nursing home facilities. They're all there should you require them. The staff was excellent. The grounds were good. I didn't have any complaints about anything else there.

My sister is a resident at the nursing home side of The Orchard, but we toured the assisted living side of it so she could transfer there when she gets better. The person who gave us the tour was a real professional and she laid out all the information - price, availability, and the different options for accommodations. We looked at a deluxe 1-bedroom apartment and it just looked good. My sister is excited about it. They have a barber/hair salon in-house. They would provide 3 meals a day. You could have it in your room or at the restaurant. It is located in a nice setting with trees. I think all the apartments have a view. What's good about this facility, which drew us to it, is its full service. It has independent living, assisted living, nursing home, and memory care.

The Orchard was nice. The staff was friendly, she showed me around and showed me the memory care unit. It was really lovely. I love that the workers are fully engaged with the patients. The person who gave me the tour was great, she gave me a lot of information, gave me some handouts and introduced me to a couple of people. They were working along with the patients, they were having a movie day or something. They had a game area, they had an outside patio where they could go out, they had a place where they can feed the birds.

The Orchard was OK. It's just that the price was a little bit much. And then one of the rooms that I saw I didn't particularly care for how it looked. It was more like 1500 to 1800 dollars more. So that was too much for us to pay. The staff was pretty good. The staff was nice and friendly, and showed us the rooms and everything that they had there. We did not eat there, but we did look at the menu, and it looked good.

I visited The Orchard for my husband. It was updated and refreshing. The rooms are very nice and up to date. The staff was nice. The dining area was very upscale. They said they had activities, but I did not see them. They say they have bingo, and she said something about hair and nails. They also have an outdoor place that they can go to.

Recently my wife and I were given a tour of the facility and were very impressed by what we saw. The buildings, particularly the new Rosebud Memory Care Center, were bright, airy and fresh with artwork and flowers providing a cheerful atmosphere. The staff we met were friendly, professional and appeared to really care for their patients. We were provided lunch and the food was excellent and plentiful. During the luncheon several current residents approached us and seemed to be happy with their accommodations. Overall we were glad we visited The Orchard as we plan for our future.

The entry is welcoming and the decor light and cheerful. The dinning area and food both feel like a nice restaurant. The staff were so friendly and happy you felt like it was an evening out with friends.

The Orchard had a very warm inviting feel. However, the apartments were older, and the facility itself was kind of showing its age. There were some stains on the carpet and the hallways. It's a little bit dated, but other than that, it was nice. The dining area was nice. There were antiques and oriental rugs. It feels a little bit elegant, but it's getting old. The staff was very helpful and took plenty of time, as much time as we needed, and offered a lot of advice, even offered to contact her with other questions about long-term care insurance or whatever. They have activities, a beauty parlor, and a courtyard. The dining area was large, very elegant, and sort of formal.

Even before the lock down, this place has been a nightmare. Starting with the tight ship structure by Sharon the manager, one cannot imagine having every movement of your life detailed as part of record. Since the lock down, my friend has seen others come and go but since she doesn't drive, she is forbidden to take a rideshare to do her shopping. For my friend, this place feels like a prison. The front doors are locked on the weekends to keep everyone in- also a major fire violation. i would not recommend this place to anyone at any time. But hats off to Johnny. he is the only employee worth praising.

The Orchard is the only private full service continuing care retirement community in the Jackson area that has rental units (rather than having to purchase or pay a big move-in fee). They offer large Independent Living apartments with high ceilings and large closets. Many units have balconies or patios. The Assisted Living units are also spacious and can suit singles or doubles. The Skilled Nursing wing is very clean and well staffed. The Memory Care is expanding to accommodate the wait list and to offer services to men (currently they only take women in Memory Care. It is a very sweet and nurturing environment. The facilities are a little dated but they are kept spick-and-span. It feels like a home for older residents rather than some newer places that are decorated more like modern hotels. The residents are very sophisticated and are dressed in lovely outfits with jewelry and lipstick. They are engaged and love to chat! The staff is professional and caring. The Director is a busy woman but she knows everyone's name and story. She capably arranges for a large variety of activities and church services. The chef is very talented; but the residents seem to request meals that aren't particularly contemporary. They seem to like things that are more traditional. The wait service is gracious and the meals are served on white table cloth. The desserts are homemade and I think there is always a variety of ice-creams as an option.

The food here is awful. Many don't like the food but are afraid to complain.

I have friends at The Orchard, and everybody that we dealt with was very nice, very cordial and very knowledgeable about the situation and the facility. The apartments were very efficient and within my price range. We were very pleased. They had a studio and a one-bedroom with efficiency kitchen that's very well appointed. They had exercise classes and water aerobics. It's pretty complete, excellent, and had everything you need.

We did go to The Orchard for my mother. We found it to be not pleasing. It seemed old to us. It seemed like it hadn’t been maintained in a while. I only talked to the people in the office and they seemed to be very nice. They’re very accommodating. I like the staff. We like the location; it was close to everything.

My friends are in The Orchard. One has one-bedroom apartments. The dining room is attractive. Their breakfast is buffet and their evening meal is a large buffet. The meal at noontime is a seated luncheon; that's what I am told. I think they probably have activities, but it has not come up in our conversation.

My wife has a friend that lives at The Orchard, that's how I've come across it. Also, it is a pretty well-known assisted living and independent living facility in the area, which is close to where we live. They showed me a really nice apartment arrangement with two bedrooms, two baths, a living room and a dining room. They have different facilities depending on your personal needs. The facility was very clean; it looked nice. The access to meals was very close. The staff took us on a nice tour and showed us menus. We just kind of like the whole atmosphere. They were very cooperative. Also, food looked very tasty. The dining room was excellent. Overall, I like the convenience of the dining room to the rooms, I like the size of the rooms, and I like the location. Also, they have plenty of opportunities for participation, i.e., bridge, exercise facilities and all that. They have pretty much anything you want to do. In terms of living environment, the grounds were well kept and their courtyard was really nice.

The Orchard is an independent living facility but it does have assisted living as well. I have a friend who lives there and her apartment is very nice and comfortable. She is really happy there. Their staff was very welcoming and gave me some literature. They also showed me around.

This is a facility that only accepts long-term care insurance and self-pay. It is an above- average nursing home, generally clean, and well-staffed. But for the cost of care there, I would expect them to employ well-trained nurses' aides to attend to the patients and to have more uniform standard operating practices for all their employees. This has not been my experience so far. On the whole, however, the nurses are kind, the aides are friendly, and whenever we have had issues, they have been quick to resolve them for us.
