I went and toured Green Acres of Standale. It was great. I saw a lot of people being taken care of. There was no urine smell. The hallways were nice and wide. It was a very, very pleasant place to live in. It was just a very, very nice place. I went through their memory care. There is a very nice room for my dad. There's nothing for him to fiddle with. It's a plain room, but it's a room that he needs. He would have a bed and a nightstand. I could bring his couch and his TV there. They're private and they have a private bathroom. They even have showers in their bathrooms. What they're working on is staffing because right now the whole unit of memory care is completely closed down. They're waiting for staffing. They closed it down due to COVID. I didn't see anything going on when I was there, but they have bingo and the usual different bands coming in for music. Another thing I like about it is in the summertime, Dad could go outside and walk out of the store, and it's a whole fenced-in area and there's no way he could get out. It's a very nice area. If he wanted to go outside and get fresh air, he could do it on his own. Their set-up for memory care is perfect.

I toured Green Acres of Standale. This is all one building, so they have a certain area of the building for memory care (but it's not open right now). The woman who gave me my tour, her name is Deb. She emulates a passion for the elderly, a joy and a passion. It is evident she cares about her people, and it's not just a job. They have a lot of activities for the residents. They were playing bingo when I was there. The place is unbelievable. I love it. Each apartment has a kitchenette in it. I am trying to decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing for my mom. It has a microwave and a little refrigerator. It's set up like a village, so on the outside of each room, the whole side of the apartments or rooms have siding, a window, shutters, and streetlights. It is super cute the way they've set up this building, and I love that. The staff is also friendly. Te room has a little kitchen, counter, microwave, and separate bedrooms plus the living area. It's off the charts.
