Heartfelt Hawthorne Home was very small, obviously, because it's a home. It looked like there was a lot of space for a wheelchair, but the bathrooms themselves were regular home-sized bathrooms, so I don't think my dad would've been able to get a wheelchair in and out of there. If somebody were more mobile, it might be an okay place. I didn't like the fact that when I came in, they did not take my temperature. They also did not ask me any questions about Covid. I was allowed to kind of wander all over the house with other residents there. They only have one person at the house, one during the day and one at night. When I went there, that person was kind of watching TV with another resident, but I think it was more the caregiver that was watching the TV than the resident. They were on their phones and things of that sort. It was very clean, the rooms were nicely decorated, and included all the furniture. But for my dad, I didn't think it was gonna be a really good place for him to go. I wasn't comfortable with their Covid protocols right now. I didn't really like it that well but the layout was fine.

My father was in Heartfelt Hawthorne Home for 10 days before he passed. I was impressed with their ability to communicate, and the staff was skilled. It was nice, the room was comfortable, and there were activities, but my dad was too sick. It was newly remodeled.
