Brightview Fallsgrove

I toured Brightview Fallsgrove. I thought it was overrated. It was very expensive, and they didn't offer half of what my wife was getting at the other place. It was not new, and they were renovating some of it. It seemed to be smaller. It was ridiculously expensive. It was $10,500 a month for basic memory care, and you had to share a bathroom and a sitting room with somebody. I just found that to be outrageous, so I left. It was very welcoming and very warm. From what I could see, they had a nice staff, and I would say it was very nice, but when you get down to pricing, it was prohibitive, and I was just shocked. The staff who toured me was absolutely a five-star. The intake person who I toured me answered every single question. The dining area was smaller and more intimate. It was beautiful. Memory care had an enclosed patio. I do believe they offer a beauty salon onsite.

Best to avoid this facility; wrong medications were given and parent was treated as if a misbehaving child. Aid even took away her emergency pendant. Definitely look elsewhere.

We have found Brightview Fallsgrove for my father. I like that it was affordable. They have the memory care because he does have dementia. They have group activities, they have laundry facilities, and they have good food. The only bad part about it was the parking. The parking lot seems kind of bizarre, but it's a good place. The staff member who toured me around was very nice. He was knowledgeable, he knew everything about the facility, he answered all of my questions, and he seemed very caring. You got to be a caring person to work in this type of field, and he seemed like he really cared about the residents, so that was a plus. They have outdoor spaces with some tables and chairs and things where the residents could just go out there, maybe on a sunny day.

Brightview Fallsgrove was one of the top two places on my list. It was a great place, with great people, and in a great location. There were a variety of floor plans. I liked it very much. The staff was adequate. I think there was some miscommunication. The person that was supposed to give us a tour wasn't there, so somebody else filled in. We saw several rooms that were studios. I wasn't interested in that, but they showed me the ones that had separate living rooms. The activities were great. They have a salon and a spa. It was nice. I wouldn't mind living there.

We're very happy with Brightview Fallsgrove assisted living. The staff is very responsive and good. If my mom needs someone in the middle of the night, they show up in a couple of minutes. She also seems to like the food. The place isn’t institutional and it looks more like a hotel. The elevators work and they have nice rooms. The dining room is pleasant and it's well-kept. They have a lot of activities.

Brightview Fallsgrove is nice and smaller than its sister community that we picked. The residents were having an ice cream social during our visit. Their facilities were very nice, and the rooms were a nice size. They had a salon, a café, organized classes, bingo, exercise classes, and mind games. The residents were a little older, and I didn’t see them interacting.
