Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Assistance: We provide hands-on help with personal care tasks that residents can no longer safely or effectively perform on their own, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation (moving around). Medication Management Support: Under direction, we ensure residents take their medications accurately and on schedule, monitoring for any side effects or issues. Safety and Health Monitoring: We are the frontline observers, consistently monitoring residents' physical and mental status, reporting any significant changes (like signs of illness, falls, or emotional distress) to nursing staff or management. "Cadence Living Olney is lovely. The facility is really good. We looked at a studio and a one-bedroom. The studio was lovely. They both had a small kitchen facility, but we liked the one bedroom, just to have that extra space. We viewed the physical therapy room, activities room, and dining room. Everything was so pretty and people were so friendly. I was impressed by that. They have a nice screened-in porch and there's a nature preserve behind, which was a nice feature, to have those trees behind you and then a walkway all around the place. They all seemed genuinely friendly. We saw interactions between staff and residents there, and they were all positive. My son and daughter-in-law ate lunch there and talked with three of the residents who were all very positive about the place and happy living there. They like the food."

"I toured Maplewood Park Place for independent living, and the staff gave us an excellent tour. She took us into one of the bedrooms that I'm interested in, and we didn't have anything negative to say about that. Overall, the place was excellent and the gal who gave us the tour was great and very, very friendly. They have a sunroom and a 1-bedroom, and some of the rooms had a den. We were there on a Saturday at lunchtime, so there weren't many activities going on but we saw a lot of the residents coming out for lunch. The gal taking us around always would introduce us to them. In terms of amenities, they have everything and they offer everything. They have a gym, and they have various trips you can take where you just sign up on the sheet, and she mentioned to us that they have three meals a day if you choose. The staff that I met were all very pleasant."

"I toured Modena Reserve at Kensington. It was beautiful. It was open and light. I liked the restaurant set up for the dining. It was very pleasant. They had a lot of activities, and the rooms were nice. Everything was great. The staff was wonderful, very pleasant, and very helpful. They had a lot of lectures. They had music, physical therapy, and other therapies in the building."

"Kentlands Manor is a great place, but it's beyond my price level. The community was gorgeous. The people were very nice and friendly. The property was gorgeous. The apartment was very nice. The only thing I didn't like was the price. I would recommend it to anybody who can afford it. The staff members were excellent. The building was very clean, inside and out. The layout was good. It was very adequate."

"The thing I like about Wilshire Estates Gracious Retirement Living is that they seem to have a lot of activities. They have three meals a day, so they have a refrigerator. I don't think they have an oven or a stove top because you're not supposed to be cooking, and you're supposed to go down to the dining room. The staff who gave the tour was very good. The building is pretty new. They can sign up for a shuttle bus to go to the local pool, for example."

"I toured The Sanctuary, a Mount Jezreel Senior Housing Community, and I like it. It is really good. It is nice and large. I like the floors, the bathroom, and the shower. I like everything. They put a new microwave in there. They have a lot of outdoor space. There is a huge parking lot that goes all the way around the building. It's got a lot of wood and stuff. It's really, really nice around there. I had an interview with them, and I paid the $35 application fee, and I was supposed to be getting a call back from them. It is like a private apartment, and so I guess you buy your own groceries and cook your own food. However, I'm pretty sure if you need some food that they will look out for you. The staff member who gave the tour was very respectful and very thorough with what he showed me."

"Sunrise at Montgomery Village was very upscale and the memory care was secure and very nice. Maintenance and upkeep were wonderful. The staff was professional and courteous. It's a beautiful facility."

"I went to Victory Crossing in Silver Spring and spoke with the manager. They said you have to have a specific income that I don't have. I was able to tour their independent living community, and I like it. They were very nice and new. I think they built it in 2017. The staff was also very nice. They really want to give the spot to me, so it's not their fault. They also showed me the apartment and explained how everything works."

"My husband and I are going to be moving to The Trillium Tysons for independent living. I think it's the best. Everything's around there; it's the 10th floor, which thrills us, and we got a corner unit, so we get sun and light on both sides. It's beautiful and surpassed my expectations. I saw pictures of it first on the internet, so I expected it to be nice, but when we walked in there, we were awed. I'm having the master bedroom and master bath changed to be the color of our bedroom now because it's the most soothing color. They said they would have done the whole apartment if we wanted. They also said if we wanted to have the closet organizers we have in our house, they could do that for us. They're also going to put grab bars in the shower because that's very important to me. As it is right now, they don't have a door in the shower, so we're getting glass doors in the shower, which they're doing for us, too. The lady who worked with us was as patient as could be. She drew things out for us, answered every question we had, and said that if we had any further questions, we should not hesitate to call. She has the sweetest personality so I just love her. When I came in, I said we've been driving around, and the coffee is horrible. She went and got us a latte during the meeting. If that's an indication of what the service will be like, then I'd rate them highly. She is outstanding. The place is conveniently located near everything, with all the stores and doctors around. That's if you want to go outside, because you don't have to. Everything is already there for you. I would say within a square mile, you have banks, hairdressers, and a movie theater. It's like a village unto itself. You have a choice of a 20-meal package or a 30-meal package. We took the 20-meal package because we like to eat out a lot, and there are a lot of restaurants around there, too. The 20-meal package means you get at least one meal a day. The person we are working with said most people go for dinner because it's a big, fancy meal. They have a Michelin chef there, too. She did say that if you went beyond your 20 or 30 meals, you could get a card and you could pay for it."

"My 86 year old mother was at Chesterbrook Residences for 9 month before she died peacefully in her sleep from heart problems. She loved Chesterbrook Residences, her apartment, the people there who became her friends and the many diverse activities. I am so glad we found Chesterbrook Residences and we are only sorry we had not found it sooner!"
