"Cadence Living Olney was very nice and very clean. It was decorated nicely. I felt like they were very buttoned up, which is what you want to make sure you have for your loved ones. They gave a great tour. They had a hairdresser and I saw an outdoor garden area. They seemed to have a good ratio of staff to residents. There were plenty of activities and they had the staff to support it. The rooms looked pretty nice. The showers did not have a lift, it was straight. If someone needs to roll in, they could just roll straight in."

"We went to see the rehab center of Bedford Court, but they also had assisted living. The staff was nice. It was a smallish facility in that there weren't that many rehab rooms. The staff was very professional and friendly. They showed us the weekly activity schedule."

"I toured Victory Haven Senior Apartments and it's a very nice place. It's very clean and nice. The staff was very courteous and had the information that I needed. They have an exercise room and an activity room. It was nice. I did not see the bedroom because they didn't have any empty apartments for me to see. They have a garden and a dining area. The place is near some shopping centers, and I think a restaurant is around there, too."

"Modena Reserve at Kensington was very nice. It was located close to restaurants, but it was just a very expensive place. The staff was very nice, and it was nice of them to refer me to something in the price range that my brother needed to be. She didn't try to push me away, she just tried to accommodate me even though she knew it was way over what we could afford."

"I got to visit Wilshire Estates Gracious Retirement Living. It was new, the lady I talked to was very nice and the place had a lot of things going on. They had new apartments, a good floor plan, good parking, and an easy-to-find location. They also had good choices that my friend could make about what he wanted, like if he wanted to fix his own meals he can, and if he didn't want to, he didn't have to. The staff we spoke to were caring and they took a lot of time with us. They did not know if we were going to be living there or not, and they just spent a lot of time answering questions and showing us around the place. They had more than he needs. They had lots of rooms, lots of games, and lots of exercises, so they had all that my friend would need. The facilities looked nice and brand-new."

"My mother is in here. It’s absolutely the nicest retirement community I’ve ever seen. They cater to everyone’s needs. It is very nice. People are very friendly. I enjoyed it quite a bit. My mom has been there since June. The room is gorgeous. It overlooks the golf course, and the country club. They’re all very invested in the community. They have quality programs with a lot of guest speakers. The residents themselves are extraordinary people. They’re all well-educated."

"I toured and I really liked it. Everything looked clean. What I liked mostly about it is that he would not have to change rooms when he would go to assisted living. He would be in one room from independent living to the end of his life. The lady I spoke to, Katie, was so nice, so helpful, and so enthusiastic. She was amazing. The other thing I liked is as I was walking through, the other residents would say to me, "This is a great place." I really liked that it was simpler and smaller than some of the other places. The other thing I really like is the spiritual component. My dad reads the Bible all the time, and they have someone who works there who's also a full time minister, and they do Bible study once a week. My dad would really, really, really like that The rooms are beautiful. There's a theater, a library, and walking trails. There's plenty of places for him to go sit and read, to leave his room and be in the sun, which he really likes. They said I could bring him up to check it out and he could spend the night there to see how he felt there. I just thought that was so awesome. This doesn't require a huge deposit. Of course, as he approaches the end of life, the costs would increase as his needs increase. Even then at the very end, it would fit easily within his budget."

"I love everything about Victory Crossing Senior Apartments. It was immaculate. I love the resources available, too. The apartments were large, and I love the fact that each apartment had a washer and dryer. I went with a friend who lived there; she explored it with me. They have a bus that takes you to the shopping center. They provide weekly activities in-house and some field trips. They had a party room and an area where you could meet privately with an insurance agent or someone you didn't want to come up in your apartment. Even though I'm not there yet, I would love to be selected. They don't cook for you, but they provide an area where you can have a party and provide food for your guests if that's what you desire. I've got my heart set on that."

"The building looks amazing! My aunt used to reside here several years ago (a different owner I believe), and the building has completely changed. I am currently looking for my mother, and she is hoping to move to the community by the end of the summer. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms seem much lighter and roomier than others I have seen. When we visited, the community walking club greeted us, and several others were playing board games in the library. Delicious pastries and snacks were offered in their bistro area, which were really tasty. I was also impressed with the technology package they offered. Looking forward to having mom closer!"

"It is all about the people! In August 2024, we moved from the Farrcroft subdivision (Fairfax) to The Trillium Tysons. At the time, we could not have anticipated how much we needed to be at The Trillium or how much The Trillium family would change our lives for the better. In our Fairfax community, we knew 6 people but were genuine friends with only 2. Within the last 6 months at the Trillium, we have acquired 100+ new friends among residents and 60+ among staff. We enjoy friendships and opportunities for socialization with residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care apartments. The residents and staff represent a diverse population from around the world with richly inspiring experiences to share. Personally, we have had a few unexpected health issues in the last six months, but we have felt the support, loving embrace of the Trillium community that would ordinarily find only in a close-knit family. The facility is gorgeous throughout the 15 floors. The restaurants accommodate individual needs/requests and consistently offer 5-star meals daily. There are so many exemplary daily activity opportunities that one has to choose among them. These include guided physical activity, arts and crafts, education, games, and entertainment both within The Trillium building but also excursions into the larger metropolitan community. Apartment maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation services are provided expeditiously at the highest level of quality. Have there been a few glitches in a newly constructed building? Of course. Could some processes be more efficient? Yes. However, the overall collective experience is extraordinary. Moving to The Trillium is one of the best decisions we have made in our long lives. We have rediscovered joy in our senior years. We consider ourselves blessed and fortunate to be living at The Trillium surrounded by such wonderful people."

"My friend was at Hessler Heights Gracious Retirement Living. They don't necessarily provide services. It is a place where they provide an apartment, and then they provide meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). They have activities. They provide cleaning once a week. The housekeeper comes in and dusts, mops and, vacuums. On every floor there are washers and dryers, so residents can do their own laundry. It's not in their apartment. It's provided, and it's not very far from the apartments either. There are multiple ones throughout the floor for the residents to use. They have a small physical therapy room where they can go up and use the equipment. They have a theater. They have a movie night. They have other scheduled activities. They were given nutritious meals. Their afternoon and evening meals were pleasant. They were size-appropriate for retired people, and they're filling. They have a heart-healthy meal available every meal or something else. They have a variety, and you have your choice. And you could have just a sandwich if that's all you wanted. They're prompt with their meals. They also provide transportation on certain days of the week. The staff knows the residents that are there. They have a really good finger on who's doing what."
