"Sunrise at Fox Hill is very nice. It has everything that I think my mom would like. They have a greenhouse, and she loves flowers. They have a nice dining room. There are different floors and different options for eating at any time of the day. They have activities. They have a very friendly staff. It is very clean and well-kept. There are a lot of different models you can choose from. That was the one that stood out to me. It's very beautiful. I looked at the menu. It was a nice and well-balanced meal, and they had different options, so that was very good. The staff who showed me around was very informative and very nice. She had a lot of examples of her own family and what they needed and how she would recommend it even to our own family. She was very informative, very nice, and friendly to us."

"Bartholomew House is a very loving, caring, comfortable, and intimate place because it is small. It is a little bit more like a larger home, and it smells very clean. The food is good, and it has a great caring staff. They really feel that it is more than their job, and they put their heart and soul into the residents. It doesn't have the extra amenities that some people might like, but they are extra caring with the residents which is the most important thing to me. The staff just goes above and beyond what you would expect. They communicate with me, and they reach out to me. They take the lead in my dad's care very proactively. You would not have to worry about your loved one there. "

"Our 92 year old mother recently moved in to Byron House. She was living independently until a few months ago when she decided she needed help and wanted to be around people to eat and socialize with daily.The staff are first rate, caring and compassionate. The rooms are beautiful and some have wooded views. We are very happy with our selection. "

"I went to visit a love one the staff was so nice I stayed for lunch the food was good the chef Mauricio cooked a beautiful meal the chicken was so moist and the rice fluffy the nurses aids was always willing to help this is a good place to have your loved one "

"I really like Sunrise of Rockville. Their accommodation for the memory care is very nice and they have pretty much the same amenities as other places. What I like most about this place is that the location is excellent and their facilities were really nice. I saw the dining area, it's very nice."

"My dad moved to An An Assisted Living II. Where he is now is a wonderful place. They take care of the residents there. I go and visit whenever, whenever I want to is fine. They keep you updated on what's going on. So I have nothing bad to say about it. The staff, I rate them a five, however, there is a language barrier. It's a house and there are five residents there. My dad is on a peg feeding only. They do have activities, but I think the youngest resident there is 90, so they don't use it so much."

"Sunrise of Chevy Chase was a Marriott hotel that was purchased and converted into an assisted living facility. It was very modern, very open, and had a lot of really nice windows, perhaps a little bit more like a luxury nine-floor assisted living facility. The rooms were very nice size, too. They had a really nice menu option that was posted for the day. They had really nice things to say about the chef for that location. The dining rooms were very spacious. They were much larger given the floor space available."

"After a lengthy search, we found the perfect home for Mom that checked all the boxes: Safe, clean, attentive staff, home-cooked meals, happy residents and conveniently located near family. The home has good natural light and the sun in Mom’s room makes it cheerful. The owner is an experienced registered nurse who understands the needs of the resident. She effectively communicates with Mom, family members and caregivers to provide Mom with an individualized care management plan to ensure she stays healthy, safe, and happy. Her good judgement and communication have relieved our family of worrying about Mom’s care and have enabled us to spend quality time when we visit. Mom loves the caring and attentive staff who make her feel loved and special. They go above and beyond to help her and make her happy. Mom always looks forward to the meals. She is always dressed and clean when we drop in. We never expected Mom to be so content. Assisted Living of Potomac far exceeds our expectations."

"I've been living in Aberdeen House III for five years. There are a lot of things I like. I'm very independent here. I'm independent as far as dressing, bathing, and eating. It's the most upscale assisted living house I have ever lived in. It's beautiful. It has huge windows in every room. I'm downstairs, but the downstairs is on the same level as the side yard, so we have windows, too. I have my own door. I take the wheelchair out and there's Metro access. It's just very pretty, the landscape, the trees. We have a backyard with stones, a deck, furniture, and a wall. It's very nice. I don't expect any place to be quite like this. There's a deck in the backyard and a deck in the side yard. This year I don't have any, but in previous years I had five herbs and then the year before that I had a tomato plant outdoors and I took care of that. We don't have activities here except we do tai-chi for 5 minutes a day. The caregiver turns on YouTube of tai-chi, which is good. I do my own activities, I do my own exercise. I'm on the iPad about half of every day. It's very upscale. It's beautiful inside and beautiful outside."

"I went to Brighton Gardens of Friendship Heights to tour, I also had friends from church who live there. The staff was very attentive, and the room that my friend was in was lovely. They also seemed to provide a lot of support and care for the gentleman that I was visiting. But it's quite expensive, the only drawback is the cost. I mostly talked to the administrative staff. What I like about the whole thing was that they have not had a lot of staff turnover and they have long-term employees. So obviously, they take good care of their employees and that means they're happy with their job. The dining room looked very nice, they have flowers on every table and it's nice. The place is very attractive, the common areas looked very comfortable and people seemed to be engaged with each other and not just sitting around. The surroundings are nice, the outside is very pleasant."

"AlfredHouse has nine facilities, but my mom is going to be in a home with eight people as opposed to a big facility. This one is very nice, and just very perfect for her needs. Some people may need larger facilities with big TVs, big dining rooms, and things like that, but my mom has Alzheimer's, so I wasn't interested in paying all that money for the extra bells and whistles that she can't use. It's five minutes from my home, so that makes a big difference, because I visit a lot. The facility is small, it's not a big one, so the ratios are much better. It's like one person to four, and they only have eight people in the house. They have large homes, but I like that one because it is smaller, it's good one-on-one care. It's beautiful, it's a home that has a huge sunroom, it has a TV room, individual bedrooms, both single and double, and it's in a neighborhood. It's a cul-de-sac, and it's in the neighborhood, so you can go out walking and feel safe. It's a beautiful home. The staff is very friendly, and very caring to the patients that were there. Basically, it's a family-owned business, so a lot of the people who worked there were related to the owner, the original owner. I know that people come in and do exercise, music therapy, and memory therapy."

"I was beyond horrified by this organization. If you care about your family member, stay far far away. The costs posted are grossly underestimated. For your money, you get the cheapest quality food, zero stimulation, extremely limited nursing oversight and horrendous management. These people have no understanding of dementia, nor do they provide appropriate training. They will skimp on what is provided to your loved one so they can line their own pockets. Their caregivers do all the cooking and housework, and have no time to engage with residents. "
