After a lengthy search, we found the perfect home for Mom that checked all the boxes: Safe, clean, attentive staff, home-cooked meals, happy residents and conveniently located near family. The home has good natural light and the sun in Mom’s room makes it cheerful. The owner is an experienced registered nurse who understands the needs of the resident. She effectively communicates with Mom, family members and caregivers to provide Mom with an individualized care management plan to ensure she stays healthy, safe, and happy. Her good judgement and communication have relieved our family of worrying about Mom’s care and have enabled us to spend quality time when we visit. Mom loves the caring and attentive staff who make her feel loved and special. They go above and beyond to help her and make her happy. Mom always looks forward to the meals. She is always dressed and clean when we drop in. We never expected Mom to be so content. Assisted Living of Potomac far exceeds our expectations.

Assisted Living of Potomac I seems very awkwardly set up for folks who have special needs. It doesn't have an elevator. There's a staircase to go upstairs to the bedrooms, and you have to go on the chairlift to get there. The rooms are fine. They have shared bathrooms in that facility. There are very close quarters. Everyone was hanging out in the living room and watching TV together. If that's something you're looking for, then that may be suitable, but also, there's not a lot of privacy. You are in a house sharing with a lot of people. It's a smaller scale, and it seemed like they were trying to convert a regular house to work as a senior living space, and it wasn't custom-made for that.

I toured this home Its very immaculaty clean, residents looked happy and engaged in activities.. Owner is a RN and was very knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. References from current family members was praises of the owner of the great care and programming that they provide. Unfortunately my mother passed away a week before her move in..
