We went to Morningside House of Satyr Hill. The thing I liked the least about it was the fact that it was down in Parkville, Maryland, and it was out of the way for us. The thing I liked the most about it was the fact that they were the only community that offered Tai-chi, which is an exercise-type thing. My sister is a firm believer in Tai-chi because she said it helped her balance immensely. I would think that all these senior communities should look into having a Tai-chi program if it helps people with their balance. The second-best thing I liked it they also had the option that my sister could have a one-bedroom apartment or an efficiency apartment. I liked having that option if they were available. It also had a lot of nice different areas. It was kind of big, though. That was one thing I didn't like about it. They had a lot of nice amenities and different areas where you can meet and stuff like that. They had a fantastic activity room.

We toured Morningside House of Satyr Hill. It was very nice. It was a pretty facility. They had a nice eating area. They had a variety of rooms to pick from if they were available. They had ones that were like studios, they had some that had two and three rooms, and then they had even some that would have two rooms that were across from each other. The menu looked good. But we quickly felt that the change was going to be just too much for my dad. The only negative we saw is, if you were not mobile (which my father is not), it was more like a hotel, and it had multiple levels rather than one level. We were afraid that it would be too quiet for him because once you left the level, there wouldn't be anybody up there and everybody was down on the first floor. So if he wasn't mobile, that could have been a problem.

The gentleman I talked to at Morningside House of Satyr Hill was very nice and informative. He was great. I liked him. The size of the room was good. From what I saw, the living atmosphere was very nice. I had hoped that my sister and her husband would go there. The layout was good. They have easy access to everything. The dining area looked very nice. There was a salon that was open a couple of days a week, a library, and a TV room.

We did both a virtual and an in-person tour of Morningside House of Satyr Hill. My mom and I were both much more impressed with that one than the other facility we looked at. She likes to sit outside, she enjoys that, and they had a nice area to sit and walk outside. They were far enough away too so it would be very safe for people with walkers to do that. That was something we were impressed by. They took us through both assisted living and memory care.

Morningside House of Satyr Hill was very clean and very calm. I thought that the patients were very well cared for. The staff members were very friendly and very forthcoming with the questions we had. The dining area was lovely. They had a good variety of rooms in the memory care. I thought they were quite adequate, and some of them were quite large. There's no kitchenette in memory care. There is a receptionist at the front door. There are several living rooms in the memory care area, and they all look nice. The facility was very well maintained.

Morningside House of Satyr Hill is close to me in location. The assisted living environment is new to me, so it's really hard for me to make a determination based on a tour. So, I would be in the middle at this point. We didn't have much interaction with the staff at all. I did meet the assisted living activities coordinator. She was very pleasant. She appeared to have passion, compassion for what she does, and compassion for the residents that she provides care to, so that was basically the only staff member I met other than the receptionist and the sales director. They give a list of events that they will provide activities for the residents, but I really didn't see anything going on at the time. My appointment was early, so a lot of residents hadn't yet come down for breakfast, so I didn't see a lot of residents at all. It was pretty early on.

Morningside House of Satyr Hill was a beautiful place. It's very well kept clean, neat, and modern. Everybody was very nice and accommodating. They have all kinds of activities, like happy hours, trips where they take them to different places or go visit some restaurants, and they have music that comes in their activity room or little shows. They had a companion apartment and a studio apartment, which were very nice, too. It just seemed like a place where somebody would be happy to live.

I went to Morningside House of Satyr Hill. There are no kitchens, but they provide the meals. The rooms were small, comfortable, and pleasant. The staff, the administrative folks, and the salespeople were very friendly and very nice. The residents seemed happy. The food smelled delicious. If you're not ready for assisted living, it's not the kind of place for you. They were totally acceptable if you needed that level of care. That would be a place I would definitely consider. I would rate the staff very high. I noticed that the residents were all clean, and they looked cared for and well groomed. They were smiling, which is always a good indicator. The staff interacted with them on a casual basis and none of it looked phony. It all looked very real. The facility was very clean and looked well kept. I didn't see any dirt along the corners or anything trash or anything laying around. It looked very neat. It looked like they do a good job of keeping it up.

Morningside House of Satyr Hill was clean. The facilities were good. I like that they're close by and that they have all the services that you would need. They have nursing service and physical therapy. They will take you to the doctor if needed and have doctors in-house and on-call. They offer meal services and three meals a day. The memory care is separate from the rest of the facility so that the memory patients don't get lost or wander around where they shouldn't be. The staff members were very friendly. They were very good with the patients. The take-home lunch that they gave me was not gourmet but it was good.

I liked Morningside House of Satyr Hill. That was my first choice. I would prefer to place my father-in-law there, but it was more expensive. Everyone was wonderful, and it was very nice from the tour, to the people following up. The dining area was very nice, and the rooms were comparable to the other place.

We've been very happy with our aunt living in Morningside House of Satyr Hill. We're very satisfied. She lives in what's like a two-bedroom apartment with a bath; it's very nice. They provide TV and air conditioning, we like it, and it's a really nice place. The staff is always friendly and smiling. They're very helpful and interested in helping our aunt stay active, even though she doesn't want to be. They're very proactive. The food there is very good to excellent. Everyone is consistently helpful. I would rate the food a five from what I've seen; it's really good. The landscaping is beautiful, everything is neat and kept clean, and the place looks great. They have quite an array of activities, and I wouldn't mind living there.

Morningside House of Satyr Hill is very nice and clean. I was impressed with it. The people are friendly. The dining area is fine and they have a variety of well-prepared food. They have a beauty shop and a library. My godmother's room is big, with a bedroom, sitting room, a nice bathroom, and a big closet. It's very nice. The staff is very friendly and involved with the people and my godmother. They take time and talk with them. They have nice surroundings with trees, and the inside is nice.

Morningside House is the first tour that we took. The person was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. They're excellent. I had three people on the tour, and they were all good. We had requested a lunch so we could be able to taste the food, but the tour went on and on. They showed us the apartments, and by the time we got around, lunch was over it was too late to get lunch. However, they bought lunch for us in their private dining area. I thought that was very nice of them to do that. I really liked their 2-bedroom, it has a mini-refrigerator. You can bring in a mini-microwave, too. My husband and I have our wheelchairs, but we don't need them all the time. Most of the doors are wide enough for the wheelchair to get in. The rooms did not have a balcony that I would love to be able to have, but it's not a biggie. It's something I can live with and better than what I have heard or seen in my life.

My mom decided that she liked the Morningside House of Satyr Hill, so this is probably where we will go when we feel that she needs to go somewhere. It was a nice place, the rooms were a lot nicer than the other place, and the setup was a lot better. My mom just felt more comfortable with this place. The people were very nice. They have a community center where they have everybody come and do exercises.

My dad is at Morningside House. They had furniture in the room. My dad did a 30-day period and seemed to fit in pretty well, so I chose to keep him there. The staff were knowledgeable and seemed to really care about the people who were there. They were very attentive to them, and I'm very pleased with the care that my dad received. They have people come from the outside, a barber that comes in once a week, and a gentleman that comes in and plays music. My dad seems to be doing very well.

Morningside seems like a pretty good place. It's clean, bright, and they seem to do a good job. The rooms are on a small side, but they don't need much more than that. There's something going on all day. They have bingo as well as people come in to play music and sing. The staff is really good. Everyone seems well taken care of. They help my aunt with her therapy, getting dressed, showering, and getting her into bed.

Morningside House at Satyr Hill was the closest we liked that was close to my father's original neighborhood. The staff were very cordial and looked after the needs of the residents for the most part. The room was bright and spacious, and he shared it wiith someone else. They had many activities like arts and crafts, music various nights a week, movies, outings, shopping, dining out, etc. I especially liked the spacious dining room and the living area which had a sun room connected to it.
