Suites of Ankeny was very nice. The rooms were a good size. They have a cleaning service if you want them to come in. They have three meals a day. The lady watching the front desk took me around and she was very nice. It seemed like a very nice, calm place to me. The dining area looked wonderful. They have a lot of activities.

My mother stayed in Suites of Ankeny for respite. The rooms were very nice, but the thing I liked the least, and I don't know if they were short-staffed, but it was difficult to get anybody to answer the phone or the front door. It appeared nice, but they didn't clean her apartment very often. I think they only cleaned her bathroom twice. They didn't really do any activities because of the circumstances that we're in. They need to hire someone that just monitors the door and answers the phone, someone that's just there all the time. There were construction men just waiting and waiting, there were federal express or mail people, and no one was answering the door. That was the most frustrating, because you couldn't get in and couldn't get a hold of anyone. Oftentimes their mailbox was full.
