"We have placed my mother here. We have visited the place as we were moving her in, but we haven't since then because they're on lockdown. My mother has been there for three months now. The place is wonderful. They have fireplace right on the lower level. She is on the second level. We are very happy with the place and the staff members are good. My mother has an apartment that has a living room, a small kitchenette, bedroom and a bathroom. They have lots of activities. They have bingo and games. They have a beauty salon and close to the beauty salon is a room that has snacks, ice cream and popcorn, which is nice. My mother is a very picky eater but she said the meals are very good."

It looks like an ideal spot, but my problem with it was that it's quite a ways from where I work. Their rooms were very adequate and very nice. "My wife and I visited Symphony Pointe here in Omaha. It's a very, very nice facility. I think that would be the one my mother would go to. It's a brand-new facility. It's like going into a luxury resort or apartment complex. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and did a very adequate job. The menu looked very good. It's off menu. They've got a chef. And from what I could tell, it looked very appetizing. The facility is in excellent condition. It's flawless. It's just an excellent facility. The size of the rooms is more than enough in comparison with other facilities in the region. By far, it's superior."

"I toured The Brant at Gretna. It was beautiful. I would have gone there had it been closer. It's not that far. It's just off the beaten path, the way my kids go. I did have food there, and the food was very good. It has a meal plan similar to the other facility, where you're allowed so much towards meals every month with your rent. And then, if you have more, you pay for some. You can get two meals a day. They had a washer and dryer and a smaller kitchen, not as big, which was fine with me because that's part of my problem. I'm tired of cooking, but the apartments were about the same. The person who took me around was good. She called back about a week later and wanted to know if I wanted to come and see it again. She was very good at her job."

"My husband has his own room and shower in Amelia Senior Living. When I walk in there I could just feel there's no tension and everybody gets along. The people that run it are still working with me on different little things, and they're always happy. They don't take it out on anybody if they're not happy. They're always willing to get up and do whatever needs to be done, and they work together. They have a craft activity. They went out on an outing last week. The guys usually get together and play cards. So there's a lot of activities, and they keep them busy. My husband also says the food is a lot better. He has his coffee in the morning, so he's happy over there. The value for money is half of what we had to pay for the nursing home where my husband was. They are working with us on that, too. So cost is not a huge problem. They go according to a point system. They quoted one price and that's what it's going to be as long as my husband is there."

"I visited Risen Son Christian Village. I went and talked to the guy and looked at the apartment for my sister. You walked down the hall and the staff was just very nice and acknowledging. The rooms were small, and that's one of the reasons why she didn't pick it. Everything looked nice. It was clean. The dining area was nice and clean."

"Bailey Pointe Assisted Living at Plattsmouth was very nice. I kind of have a drop foot, and there were in the hallways a little bit of dips throughout it. I think that was the only thing that seemed to bother me in regards to it. Everything else was just amazing. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable in any questions my son or I asked. I was very highly impressed with that. If you have any questions in the world that you haven't gotten answers to, the people there can answer your questions and show you. The food looked so delicious, I was highly impressed, and their dining room was just fabulous."

"My mother wants to go to Carter Place. It's a small community. She liked it. There's nothing least I liked at all. I just like it. I had my mother on the phone so she could talk to the guy because she's in Wisconsin and she was just happy. The staff was very nice. The rooms were efficient and nice. It's like one big happy family. The dining area was nice. They have a hot tub there. They have a beauty salon. They have a room where they do activities. It's very clean."

"We moved into Oxbow Living Center. The apartments are slightly larger than most of the places we looked at, and I like the people and the environment. The staff is very good. The activities are good, the food is very good, it's nice and clean, and we liked it. We haven't been here long enough to partake in the activities. They have a fitness center, walking club, coffee club, and they really stress getting acquainted with everybody."

"We toured here for my dad. It was a very nice and very clean place. Everything was laid out nicely. They have a square system where they have a yard in the middle of it so they can go outside and wheel their wheelchairs out there. It looks like a first-class place to go. The rooms are very nicely laid out. They have studios and one bedroom. We only need a studio. The staff are very, very professional, nice, and very caring people."

We told him he was going to "volunteer" like he had for years at a local hospital, and it helped him go comfortably to the Centre.
