Astoria Senior Living - Omaha has been wonderful. From the beginning, just visiting the facility and getting calls back from them, they're very on top of it. The facility itself is gorgeous. They have a lot of activities. Their staff is wonderful. My mother likes it, even though she would rather be in her own home, but they're doing great. I have no complaints. She got the one-bedroom deluxe. There is a nice little seating area, like a living room. There's a bathroom in that area. It's just a little kitchenette with a fridge and an area where she could put her Keurig, and then a bedroom. It's a nice unit that she's in. They have transportation. They go out to different supermarkets once a week. There's a chapel for church services. They have a beautician. They have a lady who comes out who does nails. There's bingo, card games, and they're going to have a big Super Bowl party. There are probably at least eight activities a day. Their staff is really nice. One of the things is that my mom had to be hospitalized for some abnormal labs, so they reassessed once she came back from the hospital. She was a little weaker, so they arranged for an aide to just escort her to and from meals. They would escort her to activities if she wanted. They're very conscientious about their residents. I have had meals. If I sit with her, they offer, and I think they're nice. They have a wide variety of food. They did really good. I looked around.

About Astoria Senior Living - Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska
Located at 9220 Western Avenue in Omaha, NE, Astoria Senior Living and Memory Care in Omaha is tucked away from busy streets in a quiet neighborhood. We're centrally located in Omaha, with close proximity to hospitals, medical centers, hotels, shopping, and some of Omaha's most historic neighborhoods. Built on the site of a former golf course, our wonderful community benefits from walking paths that surround the entire building, and an abundance of lush green spaces and mature trees. A recently completed multi-million dollar renovation to Assisted Living common space, The Villa Memory Care neighborhood, and the addition of a new Memory Care neighborhood were completed in April 2024. A short-term stay is a great way to find out how well an individual will acclimate to the community setting. It can also be a bridge between hospitalization and home, or a helpful respite for family caregivers who need to travel or just take a break.
A short-term stay in assisted living is $250 per 24-hour period. A short-term stay in memory care is $300 per 24-hour period. Additional fees may be charged for enhanced care or personal attendants. A minimum length stay may be required. Please call for more information or to schedule a visit to find out how Astoria Omaha can enrich your life or the life of a loved one.

Was a resident there. WAY too much turnover there from ED down. Care was hit or miss, just depended on who was working. I would not recommend for the $$.

The staff at Astoria Senior Living - Omaha was very helpful. One of the residents even came over and talked to my relative and told her that if she came there, she'd be very happy. That was kind of a nice thing to hear, not from the staff, but from one of the people who live there. Anything that she would need seemed to be available. They had a beauty/barber salon, or somebody who came in. The staff was very friendly, very warm, and kind of understanding about the situation. It was very tidy, well-kept, and nicely decorated.

My brother is in Astoria Senior Living - Omaha. It's beautiful, freshly done, painted, and recarpeted. It's small, but he's very happy there. The people that work there are really nice, and we had a little issue with his medication, and they fixed it. He only missed one little dose. It took some work on their part because the doctor was slow. I'm happy with it. I haven't had any food yet, but he loved it. Two of my sisters had lunch with him already, and they loved it, too. There are common areas on every floor, and then there are big rooms downstairs. There are only three floors. The hallways are long, but that's good for him to walk on. It's clean and neat. He didn't do anything Monday or Tuesday. He just sat in his room, which he prefers, but today he is going to a concert. All of the assisted living facilities are expensive, but the doctors insisted that he have overnight care or overnight supervision, so I guess it's a good value for the money.

I went to look at Astoria Senior Living. They're renovating a lot, but the rooms stay the way they are. The hallways and entryway are all being set up. Right now. it's a real mess, but it's lovely when it's set. The rooms were very small. They have a lot of things to choose from for activities. The staff members seemed very knowledgeable and cordial.

I liked Astoria Senior Living-Omaha because the people looked well taken care of. They looked clean, they had combed here, and their clothes didn't look frumpy. The thing I didn't like was the rooms were really small and dark and they only had a half bath in the room (just a sink, a toilet, no shower). The place where they have to get cleaned up is about a half-a-block walk down the hall. That would be a lot for my mom to go down there to take a shower and they have a lot of residents there, but it looked like it was very well staffed. They have a lot of activities that they do all the time and they take people places. It looks like they're getting good care. The food wasn't very good. They had a big dining room and they had sitting rooms and they had a lot of places to go. It was a huge building.

I did a tour of Brighton Gardens of Omaha. It was very nice and clean. The people there were very nice, all of them were. It was just after lunch when I was there. It was very clean and very pleasant. The rooms were very bright. I just saw the person that took us on the tour. We didn't communicate with anyone else.

My dad spent 8 awful weeks at another memory care facility. We then moved him to memory care at Brighton Gardens. From the moment we had contact with any of the staff members it was easy to tell how much they truly cared about the residents. My dad is the most challenging resident in the community. They have met every challenge with compassion and creativity. I amazed their ability to see him first and the disease second. We as a familyfeel we are members of a team that helpsmy dad get the best care possibe. The have even accepted hiscat as a member of the community. They attempt to engage my dad in things he can do and offer a wide range of daily activites. Truly Brighton Gardens stepped up at the worst placein our families journey with my dad and remain our heros!

I visited Brighton Gardens of Omaha, and it's beautiful. They're engaging and had a lot of activities. It would have been our first choice, but they had a waiting list. The staff was very friendly, seemed to be very kind, and knowledgeable about the patients they're taking care of.

Of the three facilities I visited in the area, Brighton Gardens provided the most geriatric services. The facility grounds were the most inviting and spacious, since the area was once a golf course. The rooms were small and closet space minimal. The breakdown of services and their expense was the most precise and specific.

Brighton Gardens-Omaha is a great facility. My mom has lived in the memory care unit for almost 4 years. The staff are great. They are all caring and from my observations they always treat their residents (including my mother) with loving kindness and compassion. If something happened to me and I had to live in a care facility - Brighton Gardens would absolutely be my first choice in Omaha.

I was impressed with Brighton Gardens with all the places I have visited, so my husband will stay here in one month. It’s not small or too large, and it has different levels of care. It was clean, and they had a resident dog which is nice because my husband loves dogs. The residents were very clean, active, and happy.

Mom is at Brighton Gardens of Omaha. My brother had been doing a research for the last year, and this facility was our best option. I talked to them all the time; I call and I know who they are, and they tell me about my mom. I like the fact that all the doors of the room are open and you can see if there is a problem, but they still have a sleeping area with some privacy. The bathrooms are very accessible. I like the fact that their windows give them something to see the seasons and feel connected. I also like the fact that they are not a really big facility. The activities are good. She is a memory care unit, but they give them projects to do to keep their minds and hands busy.

When I found out my great-grandpa needed to be moved into assisted living, I was crushed. I love him very much and I didn't believe that anyone could provide the care he needs to my satisfaction. Luckily I was wrong. We took a tour of Brighton Gardens of Omaha and it was love at first site. Brighton Gardens of Omaha not only provides assisted living but a real community and a network of amazing people. The staff is one of a kind and removed any doubts I had about putting my great-grandpa into the hands of anyone else. I can sleep well at night knowing my great-grandpa is under the care of Brighton Gardens of Omaha.
