My son has moved into Lake Meadows Assisted Living. It was relatively new. It was bright, spacious, and clean. He's in a studio apartment and it's spacious. He gets TV, cable, and internet, and he has his own private space. They serve him food. He's a little younger than most of the residents there, so he would like for his portions to be a little larger, but he says the food is good. Before he had his stroke, he was a chef, so his standards are pretty high. The staff has been cooperative, helpful, friendly, and they seem to be happy with what they're doing, and seem to be happy there. I can't think of anything they could do that would be better. Because he's younger than most of the people there, he doesn't take advantage of them, but they've got a whole calendar of activities every month. I think it's a good deal.

I am a retired elementary school music teacher & am privileged to volunteer once a month at Lake Meadows. The facility rates as one of the finest I have visited. The staff always has a friendly greeting & I feel appreciated for the time I spend with the residents. The residents are such a happy, fun group--not what I have seen in other facilities--no depression here! They are always fully engaged in the games we play together. The enrichment staff does a super job of keeping the residents engaged in meaningful, social activities. I would easily choose this facility for myself or a family member.

Lake Meadows Assisted Living was brand new. It had a walking trail. The place was open with large hallways so that people in wheelchairs could get through. They had a community room you could rent if you wanted to have a party with your relatives. The apartment was clean, with a kitchen that had a nice microwave and a little refrigerator, well kept with hardwood floors, a spacious bedroom, and it was roomy with lots of light. You could cook on your own if you like. They have a variety of rooms to choose from. The staff was lovely, but there was no follow- through after my tour.

Lake Meadows Senior Assisted Living is a brand new facility. They have rooms that are spacious, activity rooms, a theater room, a library with a laptop, and a nice courtyard. They also have musicians that come in. It's just a very nice community. There's a lake, an outdoor walking path that has cement and lights, and a gazebo. The staff was very nice and very helpful, and we met several of the residents who were all very nice and helpful too. It was clean, spacious, and just a very light, happy place with a lot of windows. They have what they call an efficiency room where you can put a bed in and they offered to put a TV up on the wall with a mount. They also have a one-bedroom that is large enough for your bedroom furniture, and they have a nice size living space. They have an area that looks like a restaurant, where they have food and you can pick off the menu. There is a little coffee bar area, where they offer snacks to the residents every day. It was just nice, open, and somewhere that I wouldn't mind being myself. It's just a very, very nice place. I think it's nicer than my apartment complex actually, and the one-bedroom is not much smaller than what I've actually got as well. All the one-bedrooms were already taken. They only had the efficiencies left. The idea is for my cousin to only sleep in the room and to socialize with the rest of the people. We don't want any place where she feels like she wants to stay there all the time. The place sort of reminded me when I was in college where they had nice open areas and places where you could congregate and have activities. They have a wonderful activity schedule, which includes taking the group to water parks. They don't over schedule activities, so that you would still have time in between. They have brain games, book clubs, bingo, and I like the two o'clock happy hour. In fact, they have a nice courtyard with umbrella tables and chairs, and they had a gentleman playing guitar music. They have snacks available all day, like fresh fruit, coffee, lots of bottled water, and things like that.

My mother is at Lake Meadows Assisted Living. It's brand new, and it's gorgeous. The food is good, and the place is safe. She's only been there since October, but he enjoys it. It's slowly filling up. They're just having some startup issues, but I think after the first year it will be fine. There haven't been a lot of activities because of COVID, but they have done Bingo and movies. They have a theater room and a library with computers. They do wine-nachos-popcorn nights and they encourage everybody to go down for meals. They had a Christmas party and a New Year's evening where they get to go down earlier in the evening and have adult beverages and some snacks. They also had pumpkin painting. They've done a couple of art days in general, too. She is in a 1-bedroom, and it's got a large bathroom and a kitchenette. It's the perfect spot for her. It's looking over a pond, a gazebo, and the walking trail. The laundry is just a few doors from her, so it's very convenient and if she needs assistance, she could do that. They have physical therapy on-site, and they have doctors and dentists that come in. They have a salon, both hair and nails.
