"I went to Sanders Glen Assisted Living. What impressed me most about that place is the staff. All the staff I talked to, and I talked to maybe four or five as I went through the place, had been there 10 years or more. In other words, they told me that they were happy with their job and with the treatment they get because, in most of those types of places, the staff comes and goes. What impressed me about Sanders Glenn was the longevity of the staff. Secondly, the staff was exceptionally nice even down to the laundry person. The bad thing was the location. It was not a good location. There's no place to walk except on a manmade pathway that they've made for that purpose, but the building was substantial. The rooms were kind of small. It was cafeteria-style serving meals."

"The staffing at Bickford is based more on the needs of the residents rather than just a number's game, so I did like that they thought out-of-the-box in terms of how they need to staff the facility. Individuals actually perform multiple roles instead of just a given role, so that was nice. They had very nice, accommodating rooms; they allow you to customize the paint and do some different things. They had a lot of activities posted and try to keep the residents active not only on certain days, but throughout the entire week. "

"Rose Senior Living at Carmel is excellent and so far very good. The facility itself was very new, modern, and clean. We chose it for my dad because of proximity to our family. It's very professionally managed and it's really a friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent and they have been extra accommodating in dealing with special diets. There's lots of activities as well. We would recommend it."

"I moved mom three weeks ago to Sunrise on Old Meridian. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Mom says they’re taking care of her all the time. The rooms are adequate, and the windows are very big. She is actually able to see out, see activity like people and cars moving around, and she likes that. She did not complain about the food. They have all kinds of programs of good variety. "

"If you are looking for a clean and safe place for your loved ones to recover, I highly recommend Majestic Care. My dad had a severe heart attack and was in the hospital for 7 weeks. We had to choose a rehab facility for him to go to before coming home. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. It is being remodeled so everything is crisp and new. The second thing was the staff. They were so friendly. From Jan who greeted us at the front door daily to the nursing staff to the physical and occupational therapists. I know that people can have terrible experiences at places like this but I have nothing but praise for how well they took care of my dad and how kind and accommodating they were to the residents. Thanks to everyone at Majestic Care for the hard work you do! My dad is home now and doing great."

"My mother will move into Traditions at Brookside on August. Our experience was very good, the woman I worked with was very helpful and friendly, and the facility was just a couple of years old, so it's very well-appointed. There's a large brook or stream that runs behind it, and there's not a lot around, you have to drive to get to other places. It's laid out more like a hotel, it's bigger than a house, I think they have 75 assisted living residents, and then they also have memory care. Everything is updated, she's going to be in a studio apartment, it's a nice size, and it's got a little kitchenette. The dining area is lovely with white tablecloths and white napkin service, full restaurant service, three meals a day, and doors that connect to a patio. It's lovely like a resort. They have beautiful patios and a courtyard."

"Copper Trace was very clean, and the staff was very attentive. Everybody was very friendly, and all the residents seemed to be very well taken care of. All the memory care rooms were full, so I wasn't able to go in the room; however, I looked in. They were nice and spacious. They had a place outside to put up things for the people in the rooms. It was nice. Everything looked great to me."

"I toured Traditions at Solana. Their pricing was more than I could afford. The staff was very nice, they showed me a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom, and they showed me the library and exercise room."

"I found the Rittenhouse Village at Northside for my grandmother. They take Medicaid. There weren't a lot of activities going on that I could see. I liked the location best. The thing I like least is that because it was the last room available, they were more concerned about whoever filled the spot, as opposed to whoever put a deposit down. We put a deposit down. They said that if somebody was willing to pay in full, they would be disregarding our deposit and going with whoever was paying in full. The consultant we spoke with was a five. The executive director is probably a two. Most of them are very friendly and willing to help. It's small; there's not a lot of places for them to go in the facility. They have a few rooms, and it seems pretty small and compact. They have a salon. There was very small outdoor space, a very small activity area (like the activity room), a living room, and a library. It seemed to be very clean. It was near her house."

"My dad recently moved to Fort Harrison Assited Living. What I have noticed since my dad moved in, the staff is very caring, the food is phenomenal, and you can see in the staff work how much they care about the residents. The management team is compassionate, caring and you can also notice they love what they do as well. Every time my family and I come to visit the ED door is always open and she make sure we feel welcome. Julie the BOM we love her, she is always helpful and don't mind going that extra mile to help anyone. I appreciate and glad I made the right decision to move my loved one to FH."

"Traditions at North Willow is a lovely assisted living residence. My mother moved in a year ago. She’s enjoyed the activities, the dining, and how clean the facility is. She likes to walk around the safe courtyard to get some steps. It gives the whole family peace of mind that she’s there. My mother in law just moved into her one bedroom there in May with her 2 cats and is enjoying it as well. "

"Brad and the staff work very hard to make sure that the residents feel heard, cared for and like family. The rooms and amenities are nice and they are very responsive to any requests or needs that have arrived over the past year."

"My mother is going to be moving next week into assisted living at Rawlins House & Fall Creek Retirement Village. She lives in the nursing home part and she's moving to assisted living. It's not as modern as the other ones we visited. It needs some updates in general. The staff was very nice."
