"It was nice. When you walk in, you feel like you're in a 5-star hotel, but it didn't feel homey. It was very large and modern with very high ceilings. It didn't have that feeling we wanted for our parent. We only saw a few of the residents, and they seemed to be content. They had different rooms where they watch TV in little groups. There was quite a few of them watching a movie and being given popcorn."

"My mom moved to assisted living 6 years ago, and for the last 4 years has been in memory care. Her geriatric assessments have gone down very little because of the activities, socialization and absolutely lovely staff. The facility is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and through the difficult process of Covid, we always know she is in safe and caring hands. These folks have become family to us and I would advise anyone to tour this wonderful facility."

"I visited Atria to see if this facility would be appropriate for my 90 year old father. I was very impressed with this facility. It was very clean and the rooms were very nice. The dining room was like a fine dining restaurant. The activity center was busy with residents playing games. At the time I visited they were planning to expand the facility to accommodate Alzheimer's and dementia residents. Although I have not been back, I understand that they have since opened this expansion. I would recommend checking into this facility. "

"My tour at Holiday Valencia Commons was great. The staff was very friendly, Maria came in on her day off and meet with me and we did the tour. I was very pleased with the single accommodations there and it's within the budget. It was a nice experience and a beautiful facility. I met some of the residents, they were very friendly, and I met the sales manager as well. The residents were eating lunch at the time, but I didn't try the food. They had karaoke scheduled and they were getting ready to play bingo. It's a very pleasant and nice atmosphere. They just went through a multi-million dollar renovation, so everything was very clean and kept up well."

"Capriana was very nice. I didn't eat there, but it looked like they had a pretty good variety. They had underground parking, which was nice, but they didn't have on-site extended care. Other than that, it was pretty convenient and in a nice location."

"We went to Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga. It was one of the top two. What it came down to for us, was location and pricing. So the actual esthetics, decor, and update of cadence were nice. We liked how their floor plan was, and their rooms were a lot more than the other place. But the issue for my parents is that they are still Kaiser patients and the Kaiser that they went to, where their primary doctors are, happens to be closer to Chino than Rancho Cucamonga. So that was more convenient for transportation purposes. And then Cadence was more expensive. As soon as you got to higher levels of care, and the prices increased astronomically to where those higher levels of care started occurring, that was going to be out of my parent's price range if they both got to level five. The add-ons were astronomical. We love Cadence, we love the staff, we love the activities, we loved everything about it, and they could afford probably everything up to level three. But as soon as you start getting to level four and level five, it's triple the rent, and that was going to be too much. They had a lot of activities. They had a lot of amenities. You're paying for what you get. The place was the cleanest. The staff were amazing. They had physical activities. When we were there, they had a musician there, so they have music activities, they have arts, they have field trips, and the activities are fantastic. We didn't get to eat the food. However, they were trying to get us to eat it, so it looked amazing, and the dining hall was beautiful."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"My Mother Fran was at the Meridian but unfortunately recently passed. She absolutely loved the team of providers like family. She was taken care of 5 star with Love, compassion at every level. I will miss everyone there myself. "

"The Villas by Astoria Park is more than a place to live, it is a welcoming community. After looking at several Senior Apartments in Pasadena I moved here over a year ago and felt at home immediately. The Villas is a boutique community with just 30 apartments. Many daily activities and social events are provided for those to enjoy if they choose. A continental breakfast is provided with full meals for lunch and dinner. The staff is very caring and takes a genuine interest to make sure residents needs are met. Would strongly recommend you consider the Villas as it has much to offer."

"Compared to the other places that I looked at, Emerald Court has substantial storage with a walk-in closet, and the living room had a cabinet where people could put some of the nice things they brought from home. Emerald Court had crown molding in the rooms, it had ample storage, and actually had a better kitchenette than anybody that we saw, with a granite kitchen top and a full-size refrigerator. My mom’s been there for almost a year, and it truly is a very exceptional place. They take care and accommodate my mom very well. My mom doesn’t really go for activities, although they are offering her dog services with a charge, and she is doing some exercises in an exercise room. They have happy hours and entertainment about every three months where they’ll bring in a band combo or a chorus, so they do have constant activities happening there. "

"We visited Walnut Village. We’re moving in there in two weeks. It suited us well in all respects. We are moving into a 1,400-square-foot apartment, and it is a perfect size and the way it’s arranged is going to work well for us. They have an indoor swimming pool and fitness center, which we will try, and an art room that I have my eyes on. There are a lot of activities that are ongoing that I think we will enjoy. The dining room and coffee shop are nice. I have a full kitchen in my apartment. The staff members are very helpful, very warm, and friendly and welcomed us. It's just very comfortable. "
