"It was nice. When you walk in, you feel like you're in a 5-star hotel, but it didn't feel homey. It was very large and modern with very high ceilings. It didn't have that feeling we wanted for our parent. We only saw a few of the residents, and they seemed to be content. They had different rooms where they watch TV in little groups. There was quite a few of them watching a movie and being given popcorn."

"My mom moved to assisted living 6 years ago, and for the last 4 years has been in memory care. Her geriatric assessments have gone down very little because of the activities, socialization and absolutely lovely staff. The facility is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and through the difficult process of Covid, we always know she is in safe and caring hands. These folks have become family to us and I would advise anyone to tour this wonderful facility."

"I visited Atria to see if this facility would be appropriate for my 90 year old father. I was very impressed with this facility. It was very clean and the rooms were very nice. The dining room was like a fine dining restaurant. The activity center was busy with residents playing games. At the time I visited they were planning to expand the facility to accommodate Alzheimer's and dementia residents. Although I have not been back, I understand that they have since opened this expansion. I would recommend checking into this facility. "

"My father-in-law has been in Valencia Commons for two weeks now. It's like a big house with a couple of apartments, and he has his own place. It's a one-bedroom with a living room, which is nice. There's nurses checking in on him three times a day, making sure he's OK, and giving him food. They have some social things going on too. It is cool. The staff is excellent and doing a very good job. They have a library, some games, a media room, and an outdoor landscape."

"Capriana was very nice. I didn't eat there, but it looked like they had a pretty good variety. They had underground parking, which was nice, but they didn't have on-site extended care. Other than that, it was pretty convenient and in a nice location."

"We went to Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga. It was one of the top two. What it came down to for us, was location and pricing. So the actual esthetics, decor, and update of cadence were nice. We liked how their floor plan was, and their rooms were a lot more than the other place. But the issue for my parents is that they are still Kaiser patients and the Kaiser that they went to, where their primary doctors are, happens to be closer to Chino than Rancho Cucamonga. So that was more convenient for transportation purposes. And then Cadence was more expensive. As soon as you got to higher levels of care, and the prices increased astronomically to where those higher levels of care started occurring, that was going to be out of my parent's price range if they both got to level five. The add-ons were astronomical. We love Cadence, we love the staff, we love the activities, we loved everything about it, and they could afford probably everything up to level three. But as soon as you start getting to level four and level five, it's triple the rent, and that was going to be too much. They had a lot of activities. They had a lot of amenities. You're paying for what you get. The place was the cleanest. The staff were amazing. They had physical activities. When we were there, they had a musician there, so they have music activities, they have arts, they have field trips, and the activities are fantastic. We didn't get to eat the food. However, they were trying to get us to eat it, so it looked amazing, and the dining hall was beautiful."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"I liked the location of La Mirada Heights. I liked the building, and I was able to see two different rooms, and I liked those. I didn't eat there because I didn't have the time that day, and I didn't realize that you could do that. I think it's an excellent thing to have them have you eat there. I think the man's name was John, who gave me the tour. He was excellent. He gave a lot of good information. They offer three meals a day, light housekeeping, laundry, and activities. They have a small gym that has some machines in it, which I was looking for. I also have a small dog, and they're very accommodating for that. They have a place where you can take your dog out to relieve themselves. So that was a positive, too."

"My mom is here. She has only been there a few weeks. The people that work there seem very helpful and very nice. My mom seems to like it. They do Bible studies and exercising. She has gone to bingo. She has a pretty good size room. "

"My tour at Pasadena Highlands was good. They had an open-house thing where you could go in, and they showed us around a little bit. The staff who assisted me with the tour seemed pleasant. The rooms were really nice, the place was more modern than the other places, and the grounds were really nice and lush. They had a reading room, coffee machines, exercise, and a beauty salon (a lady is there once a week), and the place looked easy enough for my mom to get around. They had a weird sandwich that they gave out, but it was Saint Patrick's day so it was fine. I am just not a fan of corned beef, but it's fine."

"I visited this facility several times recently to explore it as an option for my mom. Each time, I received a very welcome reception. The hospitality is amazing and every resident I encountered looked happy to be there. I am very impressed with the community and all its amenities. Not only is it a place in which my mom will be happy to live, it's a place where I will enjoy visiting her often!"

"I toured The Villas at Astoria. Great experience. This is independent living community where many people drive etc But they still offer 3 meals and daily activities and Trisha is looking out for you... Food is amazing btw"
