"The staff is awesome! They really love taking care of the elderly and they do a great job. They keep them safe, clean, well fed and stimulated. You feel welcome from moment you park your car out front of center. Everyone is there to help you and I love the attention they give their clients and me. It is the best adult day care center anybody can think of. They have great activities, Field Trips, and all sorts of fun games. They have clients with different medical needs. Some with limited mobility, dementia /Alzheimer’s, post stroke etc. Talk with the social worker Julie she really helped me with both of my parents getting into this program with no out of pocket for my parents or myself. "Alta Med is a brand new facility. The staff was very accommodating, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. It’s very immaculate and clean. They have an activity room where they can interact with other people. They have a calendar of events, they have a pharmacy, doctors, and nurses there. The ratio of attendants to clients is good. "

"My husband is going to the Memory Spa. It's very nice, they have very lovely people, it also provides hygiene, and personal grooming. The place is very efficient in the grooming portion, they cater in their food, they do exercise, games, mind games, they have a relaxing quiet room, they have television for instructional purposes, and they have social activities. They go for daily walks along the facility. It's really a nice place. I love the Memory Spa, I think they're just great people, they have a small clientele, and they don't take more than 25 people, but they feel comfortable, and at home. My husband goes once or maybe twice a week. I liked the management and caregivers."

"This review is based on my visit to HealthGuard ADHC as I was looking for placement for a close relative: I visited this center in February 2015. I met "I" who introduced herself as a staff RN. This RN walked us through the facility, talking most of the time. It felt more like a show & tell sales pitch to me rather than being attentive and perceptive to questions that I might have for her and about the center. After the tour, I had sat down with a social worker to discuss details of care (in a office room because there was no other meeting place suitable for private conversation) when our mtg was unprofessionally interrupted (barged in would be more accurate) by RN "I" to say that I had exhausted her time and that of her staff unless I was an enrolled participating family member (she spoke with authority as if she was part of management/ownership). As we were walking out of this office door, someone had tried to call the social worker, no doubt to expedite our meeting to come to a close. This clearly communicated that they are not focused client needs nor fostering good relationships with potential family members. Simply put, those interactions translated to me that they were focused on the money making aspect of my visit. In addition, the outdoor patio is an extension of the black asphalt parking lot that's filled with their smoking participants. It's basically a smokers area with patio tables and chairs. Unfortunately with no closed off doors nor wall for that fact (I think it was one of those pull down garage walls), the center allows second hand smoke to infiltrate the adjacent indoor recreational room. This explained the immediate smell of cigarette smoke when I had walked into this center. I'm sorry but I can not endorse a Health center that doesn't advocate for the health of those who have no choice but to take in the second hand smoke (especially for those who are non-smokers and trying to enjoy the recreational activities). Perhaps your visit experience would be different but my experience was not positive. I gave one star because the social worker was nice, professional and attentive to our needs. "

"I would like other families to know that this place is #1. Dirty 2. They don't have the equipment to properly care for the adults. 3. Homeless people are constantly Desecrating on the property. The poop and pee does not get cleaned up and when I visited there one time my granddaughter stepped in human poop. If you go and look at the conditions he would never trust them to care for your disabled adult."

"SBSS has been in business for over 100 years but in the last few years it has expanded and added a rich new set of programs and activities. It is particularly strong in the work it does with seniors from different cultures. It has an active adult day care program that included health screenings, exercise programming and memory training. The staff and volunteers speak a number of languages and are exceedingly knowledgeable and friendly. One of the neat new programs is the cyber cafe - largely staffed with volunteers that allows seniors to learn and use the computer. "
