"Our friend is at Atria Covina, and it is a good fit for her. We are happy with it. It is a very pleasant place. It is small, having 62 residents. They have a full schedule of events that you can go to, and our friend really likes the outings that they have. She is in a wheelchair, and they take her on the van twice a week to just tour the neighborhood, and she loves it. That group of people are pretty good. The dining room is good looking, and I think they have a nice choice of food. I saw her studio apartment, and I think it is large. She has a private bath, closet, a front door, a backdoor, and air-conditioning. The staff knows us. They're very friendly when we come in, and they know our friend very well. They're very cordial. "

"I'm really impressed with Clearwater at Glendora. It's just beautiful. You're in a little resort, and I actually wouldn't mind living there myself. What I like best is how clean it is. The staff members seem very caring. They were very interested. They treated me very well. We tried the food and it was delicious. They really impressed me. Marlina gave us the tour, and she was wonderful. The patients looked happy. They all looked like they were busy doing little arts and crafts and just enjoying each other's company. They have a salon, which is very nice. They have excursions, which are fantastic for the residents to get them away for a couple of hours. It's just really nice. There's really nothing bad that I can say about the whole experience."

"The assisted living was a larger facility but they were nice, clean, and they had a lot of activities to do. The rooms were big. The staff is really good and there were lots of them around. They were also talking and interacting with the residents. You're given a menu in the dining room and you get what to choose what you want. The place had seven floors and each floor has different activities that they can go and do. They have a game room, ballroom, and ambassadors that help new residents get settled."

"Well If you want the best for your family member you have to pay the best. This facility is one of the nicest ones I've been to. Its as if my grandma was staying a luxurious suite on the strip in Las Vegas. It looked really high end and very spacious. We all went to visit my grandma. There was about 15 family member that went into her room. It was big enough to probably hold about 25 people. Everyone was impressed with the size and the way the room looked. My parents felt that it was more safe for my grandmother to stay in a assisted living facility because off of us are either at school or at work. I must say we made a great choice. The food there was decent. It tasted like food I could buy at a hospital. It wasn't to satisfying. I went to visit my grandma last week and she said she likes it there a lot. she likes the employees there and lucky for us her long time friend is also there with her. They have a hot tub just in case anyone wants to take a dip. Overall I am happy my grandma is there and so is she. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants the best for their loved one. "

"My mother-in-law is a resident of Meridian at Chino. It was fairly affordable. It's clean. The people seemed nice and caring, and even with memory care, my mother-in-law seemed happy there. It's an older community. Sometimes they'll take them out for a drive, arts and crafts, singing, and exercise."

"I toured Oakmont of Capriana. There was a little miscommunication of my going out for a visit. When I went, there was a little mix up, but the woman was very, very kind. She said, "Please come back when I have more time," but we did walk through, and oh my goodness, it was a lovely place. She even gave me a little cart of cheeses and sausages and apricots as I left, and she said, "This is for you, and you can eat it on your way home." She was waiting for me there. It's a gated community, and she opened the gate right away when I came. She was very kind, and the receptionist was very kind, too. She answered questions. I saw that the residents have snacks every day. They have fresh baked cookies. The residents were just sitting out there. I went to different activity rooms. It was a beautiful setting. Outside, the courtyard was very inviting for the residents. And I said, "Where is everybody?" She said, "They just had a Father's Day there." I saw the movie place, and they were watching It Happened One Night, and there were several people there. One disappointment was, when I talked with them on the phone about prices, I thought they would have a studio. But it was a little disappointing because I think it's $145,000 down that you put in and you don't get it back unless you move out, so I knew my loved ones couldn't do that for a studio. When I went there, I thought that the studio would be an option, and I don't know if it's really an option for new residents to come in, and that was a disappointment. However, she was just very inviting, and just wonderful. The building was very nice and very well kept. The food looked outstanding. Even the waiters were very polite, very professional, and very well dressed. I thought it was an excellent idea for the seniors that at each meal they have a sample. I don't know if it's wax or real, but it shows exactly what the meal is, so that if they can't read or if they're not quite computing or for whatever reason, it helps them see immediately what the choices are individually. They could also eat inside or outside."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"Dad has been here since July 25th. Everything is good as well as with the staff. It is comfortable. However, we choose it because of the residents. They talk to me. They are just happy and you can see that in the place. He has a private room, which is very large. It has two sides to it with a living area, a bedroom area, bathroom, a little refrigerator and it has a walk-in closet. It is very nice. He goes to exercise classes, educational classes, and weekly outings. The food there is great."

"I toured and the place was delightful, homey, and welcoming. There were people around engaged and the residents were out, it felt friendly. The room that I saw was spacious and clean, and most of them had a lot of outside space. The staff who gave the tour was delightful, enthusiastic, and welcoming. I didn't sample the food but the dining area looked great. In terms of activities, I saw one impromptu game of mahjong and board games."

"La Mirada Heights was very nice. It reminded me of a nice hotel. The people were very friendly and very kind. The residents there were very nice, too. I like it. It was a nice location, and the whole building was beautiful and new-looking. They had more care than we wanted. They serve three meals a day in their cafeteria, which is wonderful if you don't want to cook. It is a little more expensive than what we want, so we have to figure out how to come up with more money. The units were nicely renovated. I like the friendliness and the professionalism of the people who work there. They followed up, and they quoted the price, but it's kind of out of our price range. I wish they didn't have so much service there. My brother could have lived there if they didn't have three meals a day in the cafeteria. I don't think he can eat that much anyway. The staff was friendly. They greeted you with pleasant enthusiasm. I admired them immediately. The layout was very nice. They had outdoor areas where you could sit in the garden. They had a library setting, too. I also like the layout. You can go out of your room, and there are a lot of areas in the lobby where you can just sit and watch the people go by. They have a nice parking lot. It reminded me of a fine hotel."

"Atria Del Rey was nice. It was just that my father-in-law doesn't need all the care they offer, and the apartment was really small for the price. I could get a one-bedroom apartment in another place, but over there for the same price, you could only get a studio with no kitchen. The staff was really nice though. They said we needed to have a doctor's report first before we moved in, and that was a big thing for me. I saw the residents were watching TV and doing some puzzles. They had a library, a gym, movie theater, and all kinds of stuff. They had everything. It was a nice and beautiful facility."

"We went to visit the Emerald Court assisted living facility since we happened to be in the vicinity looking at other places to consider for our aunt. The grounds looked well tended and maintained, with plenty of nice shrubs, trees and places to sit to enjoy the outside. Some of the residents participate in the community gardens. The foyer was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. The common areas were nicely decorated and home-like. There were many places for residents to enjoy a variety of activities, from games to reading and seeing films and educational programs. Events and outings scheduled include anything you can imagine - from restaurants, to art museums, the library, which our uncle particularly enjoys, to local films and crafts, fine dining and theater. The also host monthly birthday parties for residents at the facility which they encourage friends and family to attend. The exercise center includes daily yoga and aerobics exercise classes. The equipment is available throughout the day and they also offer instruction on DVD. Residents can also safely navigate the lovely garden pathways and courtyards. The dining areas were nicely designed and warm. Residents may choose communal dining or more private situations. There are places for them to visit with families, as well. The food looked deliciously prepared, as well as nutritious. The dietician and chef changes up the menu to keep it interesting and encourage resident to make suggestions. The private living spaces featured beautiful windows with a fresh, airy and calming décor and very comfortable furnishings. The staff appeared to make every effort to ensure that the residents were both safe and comfortable in this living environment. "
