"It was very difficult searching for a memory care setting for my mom. She loves gardening, listening to music, and going for walks. We picked Villagio because we realized our mom can continue doing the same things she enjoyed before she was diagnosed. The person is charge of activities does a great job and every time we visit our mom is very happy. I look forward to getting the activities calendar every month to see what fun things the staff has planned. "

"I will move into Sunnycrest Senior Living. It has a great program, the food is good, and the programs they put on during the day and at various times look interesting. It's close to a good hiking path or for walking. The atmosphere is great. The tenants that I met all seemed happy. It was clean and wonderfully kept, and had a nice courtyard. All the rooms were very nice. They have a gym, libraries, card playing, game rooms, and stuff like that. They were wonderful. All the people I met were first class."

"I liked the location of La Mirada Heights. I liked the building, and I was able to see two different rooms, and I liked those. I didn't eat there because I didn't have the time that day, and I didn't realize that you could do that. I think it's an excellent thing to have them have you eat there. I think the man's name was John, who gave me the tour. He was excellent. He gave a lot of good information. They offer three meals a day, light housekeeping, laundry, and activities. They have a small gym that has some machines in it, which I was looking for. I also have a small dog, and they're very accommodating for that. They have a place where you can take your dog out to relieve themselves. So that was a positive, too."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"I did take a tour, and it was pretty good but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, specifically for my mom's needs. Overall, it was not a bad place. It was clean and the room was nice. I was impressed with the room. It was a second-floor room, the one they had available, and everything looked pretty clean. I didn't like that it was a multiple-floor building because I wanted my mom to be on the first floor but they only had a room available on the second floor."

"I toured Pasadena Highlands. Janine, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and informative. She gave us a complete tour. She was open to all our questions. She was new, so there were a few questions that we had that she wasn't sure of. However, she got the information back to us within a day or two. The property is a high rise. The outdoor space was incredible. The garden and the walking path were very peaceful and welcoming. That was nice, even though it was on a major street. Unfortunately, the time that we went there, it was right after the fires and the high winds that we had. Even though a lot of the shrubberies and the trees were thinned out a bit because of the wind, they still helped block the noise from the major street, so that was nice. As for cleanliness, I didn't see anything that stood out. It didn't smell like they were trying to cover up bad smells or anything like that. However, the building was not conducive to my parents being so large. It is also old. I don't know how long it's been there, but I think it's been there a while. There was another assisted living community that burned down, and so they accepted a lot of the residents from that community. We didn't get to see an apartment because they were all booked. The office where we met Janine was a converted apartment that they use now for an office, and I think the size of it was adequate for one person, but not two."

"Everybody here at Emerald Court is very friendly, and it's a very nice place. I enjoy the gardens, and they have a lot of activities. We get live entertainment frequently, and it's just really delightful. The staff members are wonderful. They're very caring and enthusiastic. They make you feel like you really are a family. I'm very pleased with the apartment. I have very high ceilings, and it's large. I really like that. It's a big one-bedroom. I like the living room because it's got that fat flooring that looks like wood. The bedroom is carpeted, but the living room is simulated wood. But I like that because I use a walker. They have studios and two-bedroom apartments. They have a courtyard and a library. There are walking paths throughout the entire property. If you want to take your little doggy for a walk, there's a place to go. They provide three meals a day, too."

"The rooms are large and bright. I particularly like that they are not wall-to-wall carpeting. Activity and dining spaces are full of sunlight and inviting."

"I had a very good tour of Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. The facility was great. One of the things I liked was they had a rehabilitation center on site. They had RNs on staff, so it seemed like they could give high-quality service. The rooms had nice window views and a nice layout. The staff was very friendly, and the gentleman who showed us around was excellent. They provided transportation for trips and shopping, and doctor's appointments. They had a movie theater, a salon, a massage room, and a game room. They gave us a gift, a dessert when we left and that was very good."

"The staff are very nice, very courteous, and caring. The rooms and apartments are clean and very comfortable. It is very convenient for senior citizens who need independent and assisted living. They have field trips every Wednesday and they have a lot of social activities going on every day. Everything is positive. My client is very happy. "

"We went to The Meridian at Anaheim Hills. The lady who showed us the place was very nice. We met other people too. They're very friendly and very kind. They showed us two apartments. The closets were small, and the rooms were small. They had an open kitchen concept, which my mother hated. They had a lot of brown on the floor and dark brown furniture. The kitchens were all updated, but with brown cabinets. My mother didn't like that because it was too dark for her. They were open and they were having games and exercises. Other than the fact that the room wasn't for my mother, it was good. The dining area for the assisted living was open. It was right across the hall from where she was going to be. My mother walks with a walker, so she could just get there very easily, and that was a very nice convenience. We asked them for some lunch. We had some soup and the soup was pretty good. My mother liked it. We only met one or two people and they were very nice and very kind. The facility was very nice. Another thing I didn't like about The Meridian, it had the air conditioning and heating unit on the floor in the living room. It was ugly and it took up some space."
