"It was very difficult searching for a memory care setting for my mom. She loves gardening, listening to music, and going for walks. We picked Villagio because we realized our mom can continue doing the same things she enjoyed before she was diagnosed. The person is charge of activities does a great job and every time we visit our mom is very happy. "I will move into Sunnycrest Senior Living. It has a great program, the food is good, and the programs they put on during the day and at various times look interesting. It's close to a good hiking path or for walking. The atmosphere is great. The tenants that I met all seemed happy. It was clean and wonderfully kept, and had a nice courtyard. All the rooms were very nice. They have a gym, libraries, card playing, game rooms, and stuff like that. They were wonderful. All the people I met were first class."

"I liked the location of La Mirada Heights. I liked the building, and I was able to see two different rooms, and I liked those. I didn't eat there because I didn't have the time that day, and I didn't realize that you could do that. I think it's an excellent thing to have them have you eat there. I think the man's name was John, who gave me the tour. He was excellent. He gave a lot of good information. They offer three meals a day, light housekeeping, laundry, and activities. They have a small gym that has some machines in it, which I was looking for. I also have a small dog, and they're very accommodating for that. They have a place where you can take your dog out to relieve themselves. So that was a positive, too."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

I was impressed with the room. It was a second-floor room, the one they had available, and everything looked pretty clean. I didn't like that it was a multiple-floor building because I wanted my mom to be on the first floor but they only had a room available on the second floor."

"Everybody here at Emerald Court is very friendly, and it's a very nice place. I enjoy the gardens, and they have a lot of activities. We get live entertainment frequently, and it's just really delightful. The staff members are wonderful. They're very caring and enthusiastic. They make you feel like you really are a family. I'm very pleased with the apartment. I have very high ceilings, and it's large. I really like that. It's a big one-bedroom. I like the living room because it's got that fat flooring that looks like wood. The bedroom is carpeted, but the living room is simulated wood. But I like that because I use a walker. They have studios and two-bedroom apartments. They have a courtyard and a library. There are walking paths throughout the entire property. If you want to take your little doggy for a walk, there's a place to go. They provide three meals a day, too."

"I went to visit my great aunt at the Villas. I was so impressed by the beautiful property and even more impressed by the amazing staff. I was lucky enough to visit during the weekly Happy Hour in the club room. Everyone was so friendly, catching up on their week, and enjoying hors d'oeuvre and a glass of wine before heading to the dining room for dinner. I am so happy my aunt lives in such a loving, positive environment, where she has been able to make so many friends."

"I visited The Meridian at Anaheim Hills and toured their memory care for my mom. It was nice and organized, and everybody was very caring. It seemed like it had good activity programs. The memory care was clean and well-organized. They had a dining area and an activity room. The staff who toured me around was also very knowledgeable."

"Walnut Village was fantastic. The people I met were really nice and very informative. The place and the layout were beautiful. You couldn't want for anything more. The person who accommodated me was brilliant. I had so much fun talking with her. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and made you want to be best friends with her. The dining area and cafe looked great. I was able to see the skilled nursing facility as well as the memory care facility and both of them looked great."

"This was one of the better assisted living facilities I've ever visited as a student volunteer. The institution is divided into two wards: those who need constant medical attention and supervision and those who can care for themselves. Every week, I visited the later ward to provide some recreational activities. Each of the residents gets their own room and bathroom, which they decorated with their personal touch. The overall atmosphere is a gentile and friendly one. A few of the residents gets upset or depressed because they haven't seen their family in a while. But some of the residents who have lived there longer try to cheer them up by inviting them to tea or some recreational game. The supervisors always make sure that the residents have something to do most of the time. They have an aviary with some of the most charming singing birds, and a rec room with musical instruments and books. I understand that to upkeep a facility like this one comes at a considerable costs, which is the main compliant I've heard from other families. But, their loved ones receive the care that they should be receiving from home."

"We toured Atria Del Rey for my brother. We liked that they had balconies and people could sit outside but at their own place. We liked that they have the walk-in showers, which are safe for everybody, and that they have the little fridge for everybody. It is convenient, too. It's next door to a park, which would be great if families were visiting."
