"My mother-in-law went to Belmont Village. The staff was very professional, very helpful, and had a very positive attitude. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. There was a large variety of food available, and it tasted very good. Their dining room was a large open area with a variety of tables -- different sizes and shapes, some round, some square. They had a variety of activities such as bingo and tai-chi, and they had people come in and sing. "

"It was a very nice facility, but the location felt like it was a little bit more in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing really around it to walk to. They showed me this really lovely rooftop patio area where people could go and sit. There was a local school that was across the street, and you could watch the kids playing baseball. They had a good workout room and a library. The staff was especially nice because when we arrived, I think there was a mix up in the scheduling. He didn't know we were coming for a tour, but he was still incredibly well prepared, gracious, and well organized."

"What I like the best about Generations at Oakton Arms is the cleanliness of the property and the amenities that they offer. The rooms were excellent. The staff member who toured me around was extremely professional and considerate of me moving in as a new tenant. I was very impressed."

"I visited for my parents-in-law. It's been in the community forever. It's a wonderful facility but one of the reasons why we didn't select it is because it was more expensive and their doctor does not visit there. They have very nice rooms and I don't think they need to improve on anything."

"I toured with sales director/tour guide Valentino. He was very knowledgeable and so were the clinical staff. All nurses were very friendly greeted us as we toured. Residents looked happy and engaged. It was very nice. Too bad my loved one passed away and wasn't able to move-in.I would highly recommend."

"I visited Sunrise at Park Ridge, and it was very nice. The only thing is that it didn't suit my mom's needs. My mom will probably run out of money and have to go on Medicaid, and they don't accept Medicaid. But it was a lovely facility, the people who I met were very nice, and they took me on a tour. They just didn't need my mom's needs, but the facility was great. "

"My father was at Renaissance Gardens Sedgebrook for about one month. He was brought there straight from the hospital and it was like a resort. The people were good and the food was good too. It was clean and pleasant. Everything was wonderful. "

"My husband and I moved here over three years ago and have never regretted it! We had previously downsized to a condo in Lincolnshire, so when the need to make the change to an Independent Living community arose, Sedgebrook quickly became our Number #1 choice. It has the feel of living in a neighborhood, not just a single apartment building. The campus is large, with plenty of outdoor space for strolling the grounds, sitting by the lake or pond, a community garden, and more. A big draw for us was the availability of 24/7 Emergency services and a full-service Medical Center onsite. Having Radford Green on campus also became a convenience when my husband needed rehab services following hospitalizations. We are at the young end of the age spectrum here, and have become friends with many other residents of all ages. The apartments are light-filled and come in many different sizes and configurations. The variety of activities is impressive. You can become as involved as you wish, or not, but you will be sure to find something of interest. We have felt very safe living here during the Pandemic. The staff has gone above and beyond the norm to provide our meals and adjust services and activities to meet our needs. As life slowly returns to normal, we are looking forward to continuing our daily lives at Sedgebrook for many more years to come."

"I moved in, and I was extremely impressed. It's absolutely beautiful and 10 minutes from my granddaughter and 25 minutes from my grandson. The people are so warm, friendly, and I couldn't ask for anything more. I have a beautiful studio apartment. I love it; it's perfect for me, but they also have one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. My apartment has a lovely kitchen with a dishwasher and cabinets, and it's a little smaller than a one-bedroom but much larger than an executive efficiency. They go out to dinner, casino, and movies, and we had a beautiful reception outside by the lake. I'm very pleased."

"We recently found ourselves in need of care for our Mother. I had no idea where to start. Caring.Inc provided several locations to look at. We were so pleased by this facility. The most important thing was Mom's safety. The care givers were everywhere with the residents. I loved the amount of activities offered to the residents. We had lunch there several times and found the food of an excellent quality. We moved Mom in a week ago and no longer fear for her safety. If there is anything I could view as needing improvement is more assistance in the paperwork. As expected there is a great deal of paperwork and we have found it necessary to obtain information multiple times from Mom's Dr. It is a stressful time when making this life altering change for our Mother. The need for additional work does not help the stress level. I feel so much better that Mom is now taken care of so well. "

"The Sheridan at Park Ridge felt like a swanky hotel. It was very nicely decorated and very pretty. I wasn't 100% happy with the layout. They have all of their common areas on the first level and the residents live on the second, third, and fourth floors. Rather than having little nooks and crannies where people can sit and read a book or chat, the hallways were more like hotel room hallways where there was just row after row after row of doors. So, it wasn't quite as homey. It felt more like a hotel. I was pretty impressed with the staff that I met. They had a hair salon, and I like the fact that The Sheridan has signed on a third party for all the physical therapy. They bring an outside company onsite and they do it right there for the residents, and it seemed a little bit more professional to me. They also can go out on field trips. They have a grand piano in their main lobby and they have entertainers come and perform there."

"Belmont Village Glenview was one level with a large memory care facility. The room was clean but didn’t have the greatest of views because they put one wing right next to the other wing with the two wings looking at each other, so you look at walls. The people were nice. "

"My mother has been extremely happy at Clarendale. I have visited there many times and always see a caring and helpful staff. Meticulous in detail. Many activities including daily exercise. My mom is more involved than ever before. We are all pleased."
