My mom moved into TLC Home Inc. It's a home with six residents, including my mother. She's been living there for a little bit now. It's good, they keep it very clean, and they're very good, and she likes the food and everything. The problem is that the other five people, they're not really with the program. One has dementia, one just walks around. She doesn't say anything except call the police if she doesn't like something. One can't walk, she had a stroke, and so she's paralyzed from one side. Another one has cancer, and so she just sleeps all day. The only reason my mother is in there is because she can't walk yet, because she had shingles. We're trying to get her to be able to walk, but as far as her mind and everything else goes, she has that, but they don't really have any activities with the other people because they really don't know what's going on. They have just the TV, so it's very depressing for her to just sit there and look at them. The people are good. They all speak English, which is a plus, because my mother doesn't speak Spanish. They keep the place very clean, and they keep a schedule of when they go for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She says the food is edible, plus she doesn't have to cook it. They have three girls that come in during the daytime at different times, and then they have one at night. So, they have a lot of people there helping everybody.
