The Residences

My parents have been living at this facility for six months now. Words cannot express how wonderful this place is. From the administration to the nurses, CNA's, maintenance, and custodial services, all are five-star quality. The cleanliness of the facility and the quality of the food are unparalleled. I did a lot of research before placing my beloved parents in an ALF and I can honestly say, that the Residences has exceeded my expectations. My parents are well cared for and comforted by the amazing staff of the Residences at Miami whose patience and compassion are admirable.

My dad stayed at The Residences before, and I only have good things to say about them. They are very caring, wonderful people that really care for the people that live there. They are kind and professional and they stay in touch with family members very closely. So I really have nothing negative to say about that. Unfortunately, the reason I moved my father out of there is because they were very far from me. So for me to be able to see him, it was over an hour drive each way. But they were truly outstanding. He had a single room, but it was very large, with high ceilings. He had a nice view of the outdoors with a lake outside, and a very nice large bathroom, all prepared with the proper grab bars and all the other requirements for people that need assistance, so it was ADA compliant. The room was very nice, clean, and bright. Everything was always very clean and immaculate. They have several activities every day. They have simple exercises that they do mostly sitting down because of the age group, and the different issues. They had a lot of music and karaoke. They also had bingo. They have quite a bit for them to do. The residents also had a place where they could play things like dominoes. They have a computer room, and a library. Everyone from the ladies that assisted my father on the floor with his needs, helping him in the bathroom, or helping him to go to the places he needed to go, to the nursing staff, and to the cleaning staff, everyone was always pleasant and eager to help. My father loves all the meals. I used to ask him if he liked it, and he never complained about anything. He said everything was always good. They clean every day. They have laundry service every day. My dad needed assistance so they would bathe him every day. Everything there is top notch. What my dad enjoyed the most was the fact that they brought live music three times a week.

My 90 year old father lived here for 11 months before he passed away in his sleep due to natural causes. I have nothing but excellent things to say about this place and their caring and nurturing staff My father, a demanding and dignified man who knew what he wanted was happy there Until the end. They cared for him with love and gentleness. I was always kept updated of everything regarding his care, and any and all of needs and wants. I showed up unannounced at all times and days and always found everything perfect. I cannot say enough about the director Maria, the reception staff especially Alain and all those who cared for my dad. Special recognition to Carmen and Reina who showed us so much compassion and whom my father adored. I would do it all again if I had the opportunity and I’m very thankful my father was there till the very end!!

As soon as I walked into this place, I knew the elderly people were very well taken care of. I usually sit in the lobby area with my family member and get to see the interaction between the staff and the “residents”. Incredibly nice and caring to the residents, from the administrator (amazing) kitchen staff, nursing assistants and most of all the nurses who care for my love one everyday with much patience. My favorite is happy hour on Friday’s. This facility is meticulously clean and definitely deserves a 5 star!

I looked into several places before deciding on The Residences. I am so glad I decided on this place. The nurses and assistants are amazing. My mother is treated with respect and with much love. I’m always informed in every aspect of my mothers care which gives me peace of mind! There’s nothing cold about this place and the hallways are clean and bright. It’s a modern setting and most definitely unique. I highly recommend this place!

Respect Seniors

The facility has very laxed security procedures where patients can leave on their own or with a total stranger and no one woukd notice. Also, the elevators do not work properly and they refuse to call fire rescue until their maintenance staff comed to the facility. Seniors are sre stuck for a while in elevators.
