"I like everything about The Contemporary. They have a very good place. The apartments are wonderful. I love them because it is a nice place. The manager is a wonderful person. He's very knowledgeable. Everyone was wonderful and friendly. I was shown the menu, and it looked very nice. The building is very modern. It only has two stories. It's not a big building but I like it. The atmosphere was very nice. Everybody was nice. Everybody looked happy. The room's layout was perfect."

"My mom was at the independent living facility here and then she moved to their assisted living. The facility is very nice. It's excellent. They have lots of activities. They served three meals a day. You have your apartment and if you're in the assisted living, they have nurses that come every couple of hours to check on the patients. It's very nice. They have arts and crafts, bingo, cards, and musical during the day. There are a lot of activities and everybody was very friendly. "

"My father-in-law lives in The Suites. He is very social and spends his day talking with residents and staff and enjoying all the events and social opportunities. He walks around like the mayor. He has made some really close friends with residents and staff. If he didn't have the Palace, he would be at home lonely and getting into things he shouldn't be. We, his family, enjoy coming to dine and spend time with him at The Palace. It's like a big family."

"Covenant Living of Florida is an excellent place to be. There's a lot of ambulatory people. Sometimes you visit a place, and they have a lot of people with walkers, and that turns me off. The rooms are very nice. They're adequate for one person. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. She was very accommodating and answered all my questions. I tried out the food, but it was Octoberfest so I didn't like that type of food. The place was very clean. Everything seemed to be accessible."

"I went to Springtree Senior Living. I thought they were very customer friendly and very thorough. The eating facilities, the amenities, the upgrades, the furnishings, and their decorations were outstanding. It's a really nice facility parents-wise. They even welcomed us by putting our names on the little board that says, "For 12:30 appointment, we welcome Jeff and Sonia," and so forth, and I just thought that was a nice touch. I really, really enjoyed that tour."

"We visited the independent living community of Independence Hall. It's an older building, but it's very nice and they have renovated the entire place. The staff was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. We had lunch there, too, and the food was excellent. The rooms themselves were very nice. We looked at a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom apartment. You bring your own furniture in."

"I toured Forest Trace Senior Living. The scenery and setting are gorgeous. The staff was really very welcoming. The gentleman whom I spoke with informed me. He was very thorough and explained to me that there are different levels, which I didn't know, with memory care, like stage one, two, three, and four. And they're also priced differently depending on their needs. It was very nice. I like the way it was laid out, and I like the fact that the memory care unit was on the first floor, versus most of the places that have the memory care units on the second or third floor, which I didn't like. The staff was very helpful to the people in taking the tour and going from room to room. The companion room or a shared room, I thought, was very large compared to others I saw. And they were very clean."

"The whole Grand Living at Coral Gables is wonderful. They have three restaurants here and a cafeteria, and the food is great. They have a whole day of activities. They take you to the grocery and then to the doctor's. It's wonderful. The staff is incredible. They have a gym, a pool table, a craft place, and water aerobics. They give you a schedule for the month. Every day they have like 8 or 9 activities. It's kind of expensive, but it's great. They give you a lot of things for the price. It is close to my family. It is an amazing place to be. It's like you were at The Ritz. It's like a perfect hotel."

"Irving Cypen Tower at Miami Jewish Health had a lot of things that I could use, like the service of the doctors coming in and it's close to three different hospitals and also Palmer Eye Institute. They have rehab, a library, a swimming pool with a ramp in it, and a card room. There are a couple of dining rooms. There are only 70 people living there and I will be in the independent living. They have two meals a day seven days a week, and they have church services outside. All the rooms are for the handicapped. They've got nice showers. Also movable showers. They have one bedroom which is fairly large and the windows are really big with nice views out over the city all over the complex. They have kitchenettes. Some of them have stoves and cooktops, and some of them just have the cooktops, but they have full refrigerators, a dishwasher, and the usual things in kitchens. They have two big closets, and big bathrooms, and the toilets are not extremely hard, but they are also low ones like you find in regular apartments. Their floors are imitation wood or carpet if you want."

"I have toured Allegro Doral for my parents. It is a beautiful community and newly built. Everything is new, modern, and clean. It is obviously in lease-up mode, so you don't see a lot of people yet, but the few we saw were very happy with the premises and the activities. I think at the time we went there they were doing aerobics in the pool, and everybody looked really happy. They have a very good selection of apartments, very good-sized models, and the distribution was great. The only thing is they did not have enough of the one-bedrooms with a den and a good view, so I wish they had more of those. I saw they had an arts room, a movie room, bingo, and happy hours. She sent me an activities schedule. They also have a beauty salon. We did not get to see a lot of people because of COVID restrictions, so we mainly dealt with the sales director and the receptionist. They also have aerobics, yoga, and a gym. They have a lot of activities in the gym."

"I moved into The Solaire at Las Palmas Village and I have nice living quarters. I have a stove and oven, a refrigerator, and air conditioning. It has all the comforts that I want in a place to live. This place has 3 buildings, and I'm in building number 1. Building number 3 has a gym, a library, a community room, and a barbershop. I am dissatisfied with the building that I'm in. I should be in building number 3 which has all of the amenities that this place has to offer. Building number 1 is the farthest away. I have to walk a block to get to the exit, and building number 3 sits right at the exit. The manager showed me building number 3 when she was giving me a tour of the place. Then she led me to building number 1 and showed me 2 rooms at building number 1, leaving me with the impression that that's where I was supposed to be. I wasn't told that I could live in building number 3."

"This has to be the best retirement community that exists. Medley Lakeside Retirement Park is a small family oriented mobile home park where everyone knows each other by name. They have parties every month, and the Medley police department often participates in their activities as well. Is like a big family. In fact the Town of Medley Police department throws a party once a year, and the senior ladies competes to win a crown and a trophy. This year the theme was Flamenco, so all the ladies dressed up in flamenco costumes provided by the Town of Medley. The major, Ramon Rodriguez is the sweetest person I've ever met. Everyone loves him as he is a very giving person, and cares a lot for all the Senior Citizens as well as for the rest of the residents in Medley. Everyone has fun at Medley Lakeside park. Those Seniors are spoiled big time, they enjoy Holiday Parties, they celebrate birthdays every month, Thanksgiving dinners, they go to places such as Santa's enchanted forest, theaters, casinos, this is all free for them, including free food where they enjoy in their beautiful dining room. The reason why I know about the park is because my parents live there for more than 18 years now, and sometimes I participate in the park activities, and boy do I have fun when I do. Thank you. "

"My mom moved into The Oasis at Coral Reef. They have a lot of activities. It's very nice, very clean, and no issues. The rooms are a nice size. They have a gym, a hair salon, and a pool. The staff is very courteous, polite, and knowledgeable. They do flower arrangements. They have a game night. They have planned trips to Publix and Walmart, and they do physical therapy and exercise. As for the value, you can't beat it."

The Palace Coral Gables is fantastic. My parents have been treated so well there. The especially love the food and the activities. You get what you pay for and at the Palace, you truly get a lot.
