"My mother goes to Morning Star Adult Day Care in the morning until about 2. For now it is working out. Morning Star Adult Day Care is not an adult day care really; it is more like they meet where they go have lunch and play dominoes and bingo. They do exercises. What they need to improve is the bussing service. Sometimes the driver is sick, and sometimes the bus doesn't come to pick them up. The food is good. They give them food to take home. "

"My mother-in-law is in assisted living at Miami Jewish Home (Douglas Gardens), but they have all the levels of care. She has a 24/7 aide who was provided from an outside source approved by them. It's an excellent facility. Even their kosher food is good. They have an upgraded clinic and the staff is adequate to meet those credentials. They also have the Alzheimer's or dementia unit. I absolutely recommend them. One does not have to be Jewish to be accepted there. The food is excellent and the place is spotless. The staff and the residents are friendly and engaging and they know everyone by their first name. I have no reservations with that facility whatsoever. It's very well known even from some nursing staff members that I spoke to down here in Key Largo. It's an absolutely superior facility. The grounds are maintained well and are very attractive. I have never seen a resident in need of attention. They do the rehab there, they have entertainment, and they have a calendar of events. They always have something to keep the residents occupied. They have outings and shopping. They bring in talent, and I've always enjoyed that. She has a studio, and it's got a monster bathroom and a very adequate space in terms of square footage. One wall that's 25 feet minimum is all glass and it has curtains so you can control the light. They have a small cafeteria adjacent to the dining room. I've eaten there with her and everything is absolutely perfect."

"I am extremely happy and grateful with the staff of San Judas Tadeo Community Adult Day Care. I went to many adult day cares in Kendall and none of them compare to this Day Care. The staff is very caring and attentive to my mothers needs. Ever since my mother started at this day care, I have seen such a dramatic change for the better. "I have my wife in an adult day care called La Edad Prodigiosa, it's in Cutler Bay. We've been with them for a couple of weeks now. Our schedule is 8 am to 5 pm, Mondays through Fridays. She stays there during the day while I do whatever I have to do. They have all kinds of activities, they give them breakfast and lunch, and they also offer transportation when needed. I usually drop her off and pick her up, but if I can't, they will pick her up and take her home. The staff was excellent. Their place is a very nice, clean, and spacious facility. Everything's well organized and the attention that they are giving to the seniors is excellent. They have board games, dominoes, and they have bingo. They have a TV there too. They have exercises and they do some dancing. They keep them entertained, pretty much all the time."

"I go to the classes they offer. I take Drawing, Acrylic Painting, Flower Arrangement, Tai Chi and Chair Yoga. Great teachers. Beautiful center. Field trips and constant activities. This is an excellent to be when you are retired and need to get out of the house and participate in life! "

"These people are wonderful with seniors! I had a friend and neighbor who lived at Angel House until 2010. This man was skin and bones, on Hospice when he went there in 2009... Nurses said she was wasting her time, he wouldn't last the month out, but Doreen (the owner) never gave up on "Bill". His wife, "Mary" was at their condo alone, suffering from dementia. I drove her there to visit her husband of 53 years. At last he was nearby in Pembroke Pines. They really treat their clients like Family at Angel House; very caring and affectionate, all the staff are. Doreen says she can teach her people everything except Compassion, which is a Must with her. My friend began to improve within days, strengthened by the good food and attention he got at Angel House. Pretty soon they 'revoked his Hospice', and he was up and Walking, just weeks after doctors said the end was near! There's a lot more to Angel House than 'babysitting' or 'healthcare' - it really is Home. In addition to visiting musicians and Pet Therapy, they have books, games and puzzles, even a Wii on the tv and a house computer. The really big difference is the whole family of seniors took a trip to Lion Country Safari, and another outing to a seniors' Mother's Day party & dance was a big hit with my friends. They got up and danced together, just months after he thought he'd never walk again... Bill and Mary were so happy at Angel House. She had come to join him when Doreen visited the condo nearby just to see if Mary was ok. Turned out she had some issues going unattended, so Doreen got her to the doctor and let her share the room with her husband, and even got them signed up for benefits they didn't know they had! My friends' sons are out of state, and the folks at Angel House were a godsend for them here in Pembroke Pines. After he'd gained over 50 pounds and they'd celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary and both their birthdays, with many happy memories, my friends left Angel House just under a year after he first arrived, to Go Home To Live! How's That for a happy ending. I can't recommend Angel House enough, for giving my friend that "new lease on life" an old TV commercial used to talk about. I'm sure they would care for your family members with the same dedication and attention. "

"I brought my mother to SarahCare of Pembroke Pines for a day -- four hours -- and they had karaoke going on. Nice situation, I thought. The staff were very friendly, but by the time I got there, she was totally freaked out. She said the people didn't talk. She is more outgoing than some of the people that were there. I brought her there ahead of time. She met the people, she liked the people, she liked what she saw, but once she was left by herself, she just couldn't understand why she was there. Everything was so loud. It was a very nice little place with different little rooms -- very homey and very comfortable. They had arts and crafts room, a library room, a TV room, a cafeteria area, and plenty of people working, but she just didn't find people to talk to. They have music two afternoons a week. "

"Me and my mom visited Blue Sky a new Adult Day Care in North Lauderdale. It was very clean and the staff treated us like family on our visit. My mom will be starting soon and the best part is the Medicaid is covering almost all of the cost. Thanks for all of the help this process was a breeze."

"What a blessing this place is !!! I was so stressed out trying to find a place for my mom, and I found Broward Adult Day Care 2615 Davie Blvd, Fort Lauderdale. I didn't know what to do, but the owners of this place gave me information, guidance and support. The place is extremely clean, there are lots of activities and the staff really knows what they are doing. My mom only speaks Spanish, has Alzheimer and get disoriented, I thought she was going to have a hard time adjusting, but not a single complaint form her. She loves it, and so do I !!!! I have peace of mind, priceless !!!!!! "

"I have know for a long time that I needed a safe and stimulating place for my mom to go to while I'm at work. I could see that her mental and physical abilities were quickly declining being left by herself at home. I work full time and because she lives with me I needed a place that would accommodate my work hours and I wanted her to be happy. I found exactly what I was looking for in Amazing Age. The center is beautiful and far from the institutionalized setting my mom was fearful of attending. The staff is so incredibly kind and loving. The days activities are structured but there are a lot of options. If my mom is not interested in what the others are doing there is someone available to help her find something she is interested in. I highly recommend Amazing Age. "
