Independent living at Mirabelle includes one, two and three bedroom apartments including penthouse apartments on floors 22 and 23. Independent living residents range in age from 59-91 with an average age of 82, with 28%male/72%female. We offer a variety of engagement opportunities through arts & education, health & wellness, deep connections, spiritual journey, purposeful living and recreation & leisure. Programs include Tai Chi, Zumba, Aquacise, Sing Along, Happy Hour, Live Entertainment, Lifelong Learning Classes with FIU, Karaoke, Dance and Art Classes, Technology, Trivia, Cooking Demonstrations, Themed parties, Ted Talk, and more!

More than a meal we offer an experience, fresh ingredients and exceptional foods made from scratch take you to and adventure of flavors. We take pride in our food; it has personality and a particular balance between presentation and textures. You can expect a variety of delicious meals and a fine presented menu, every experience is unique. We offer three dining venues, including a full service restaurant, Tempo; Café M and Bistro 6.

All of our Assisted Living residents are given a pendant. The are expected to wear the pendant at all times and to press the pendant in case of an emergency. We are able to find the resident in the building once they have pressed the pendant. Morning and nightly checks are also done to ensure the well being of each resident.

Through Arbor, we offer our staff ongoing training about senior living. We use the practices of Teepa Snow, a well known Dementia specialist that has worked with Arbor.

Nation’s Best Care is located on-site to provide independent living residents with home care services as needed.

Residents enjoy a very convenient transportation service from a staff of well-trained drivers with ample experience. Scheduled transportation is offered to local stores and physician appointments as well as personal and social transportation. We also have a wheelchair accessible van for those residents who need more support to get around.

Yes, we love pets and do accept dogs and cats! We have an area around the community that the residents can walk their pets. Residents must be able to care for their pet.

Each apartment has an emergency cord in the bathroom and a sensor system that allows us to monitor movement in IL apartments. We review this activity twice daily and call/visit the resident to ensure their well-being

Assisted living at Mirabelle includes studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, most featuring a full kitchen and balcony. In addition, we offer Connected Living for residents in the early stages of memory loss with studio, one and two-bedroom apartments. We range in age from 51-94 with an average age of 80 and 40% male/60% female. Residents enjoy a daily calendar of programs. Programs are wide ranging and include gardening, decorating cookies, games, films and attending art classes.

Our engagement team uses an app called Lifeloop which is shared with the families of our resident. They can view daily all the programs that their loved ones have attended.

During the day we have a 1 to 6 ratio and at night we have a 1 to 10 ratio.

Our Connected Living provides a fully secure floor in the evening through the morning and our Memory Care (starting Oct1st) will be fully secure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also have an Elopement protocol in place. When we assess a resident to be an elopement risk, we communicate this with all associates and maintain a picture of the resident with their information at the front desk.
