My sister has moved into Brookdale Deer Creek. It is very nice, very cozy, quiet, and peaceful. The staff members are friendly. They are very compassionate, concerned, very efficient, and attentive. I'm not entirely familiar with everything there, but I know they have day trips, bingo, show movies, and live entertainment on Friday afternoons, and things like that. The facility itself is clean.

We toured Brookdale Deer Creek. I saw other places that had better facilities for memory care. The room was very clean and very neat. They were very nice and very outgoing. The staff was very courteous. The food was good. We had lunch there.

When we walked in Brookdale Deer Creek, we felt comfortable there. The location of the unit to the dining room and to the nurse's station was very convenient. Everybody we talked to was very accommodating with our questions and our needs. The room is a two-two. The living room is fairly small. The living rooms could be bigger. The bathrooms and bedrooms are decent-sized. The kitchens are very, very small. I don't like that the refrigerators are like dorm room refrigerators. They're exchanging it out for a larger refrigerator, so that's one of the things that they were accommodating with.

I had a very good tour experience at Brookdale Deer Creek. It was a very nice place, but they won't take Medicaid in the first year. They had very nice and spacious rooms, and their amenities were top-notch. The staff was knowledgeable, very friendly, and answered a lot of my questions.

During the nine-day stay that my mother resided at Brookdale Deer Creek, she was mostly ignored not receiving any of the programs or activities that were described to us so wonderfully by the salesman. From the first day, my mom did not receive an ambassador. They said they had an ambassador program to show her around and introduce her to the comings and goings of the community and all of that, and that didn't happen. Additionally, no one instructed my mom where or what time to eat meals. We couldn't get her out of there fast enough. On top of that, my mom only stayed there nine days and I had paid a community fee and an entire month's rent. She was there for nine days during April when we took her out. They are refunding my community fee, but they will not prorate the amount I paid for the month. They're still charging me the full amount for the month. So it was our pleasure to take our mother away from that community. Our disappointment and horror cannot be understated, and we will never be beholden to Brookdale assisted living for anything going for it.

I went to tour Brookdale Deer Creek. I think the whole atmosphere of the place was very positive. The physical structure was very nice and very appealing. The residents we saw there seemed pretty happy. It looked like they had their act together and were very professional. The staff has stayed in contact with me to see how my sister is doing and I appreciated the follow-up. We were given the brochure with all the figures and all the different levels of care. We got all the information that we needed. I think they allowed pets. It was a good feeling. If my sister were ready to go in there, I would have made the arrangements right there. They had everything. They had a beauty parlor, a small café area, and a beautiful lounge area, which was spacious, light, cheerful, and clean.

My mother moved into Brookdale Deer Creek a week ago. I was impressed with the level of care that they offered. It is a very clean place, and the staff is very caring. She has a very beautiful studio apartment. From what I understand, they come and get her when it's lunch, breakfast, and dinner. They come to check on her and encourage her to join in on activities. The dining room is very clean, and the waiting staff is very attentive to the needs of the people that are there.

Brookdale Deer Creek is a beautiful place. We had lunch there and the food was pretty good. The staff all seemed nice. I understand from some of the residents I talked to that they didn't follow through with activities and trips. The residents there were kinda mobile and didn't need much care, they kinda walk themselves. They have nice sized rooms but they don't have a full kitchen with full-sized appliances, they had a small freezer and a microwave. It's good enough because they give you three meals a day. They give you a choice on the menu, there were like five different things on there.

We looked at Brookdale Deer Creek and it was a very nice facility. Toni, who is their coordinator, was excellent. She was a fantastic help and was very nice. It was very clean and the layout is very simple. I think they have a lot to offer. The menu seemed to have a lot of different options, too.

We went to Brookdale Deer Creek. It was nice. I'm not going to say anything bad about it, but it is not for the purpose of what my friend needs. The person who gave us the tour was very professional. The rooms they showed us were not for sharing. Everyone has their own bedroom and their own bathroom. Nothing to share. Everything was fine. They had a lot of amenities in there. The facility is a very nice place; however, they don't have a space, they don't have availability. They would accept pets. It was a decent place, very nice, and comfortable. Everything was good. The staff was very nice, too.

Brookdale Deer Creek was absolutely beautiful. It's a huge place and the rooms were very nice. They have a little kitchenette, a nice bathroom, and a good-sized closet. Not only did the employees talk to us, but they also talked to the residents as we were walking around. Not just the aides and the nurses, but even the painters (as they were doing some freshening up of the place) were speaking to the residents and saying hello to them. It was very nice. They have a lovely dining room and they have a little lunch room in the morning where residents go and just wander in at their leisure. They had bacon, eggs, and pancakes in the middle of the morning as a snack. The food smelled great. We talked to several residents that were very happy and they said the food was really good.

I went to look at Brookdale Deer Creek. It was accessible if they needed to get around. They have activities and meals available for them. The facility was clean and professional. The upkeep was very nice. They have games and shuttle rides to their appointments. The staff was very professional, very knowledgeable as far as giving us information of what to expect, and gave us a real tour of the studios and some of the available rooms. The dining room was clean. It felt homey.

We checked both assisted living and memory care at Brookdale Deer Creek. We went all over the facility and it was very nice. They were in the process of doing some upkeep, and so a lot of the places were closed off. Since we need to move right away, we felt that it would be better for my friend to move into someplace that's going to be already established and not going through an upheaval of any sort. The staff was very nice. They called me yesterday to see if I found anybody. It sounds like they do a lot of activities. They were even talking about taking them on day trips or whatever. The facility was very nice. They were replacing things on the ceiling and doing some electric work, but it didn't look like it would take very long for it to get finished. They were replacing things that had worn out and things like that and it was major stuff. They have little nooks for them to eat and also the main dining room. My friend ate there and liked it. The chef there was very good.

Brookdale Deer Creek was nice, but the other facility was closer to our home. The staff members were very nice and very pleasant, too. That's really where we were thinking of placing Mom until we went to the other facility, which is less than ten minutes from our house. Brookdale was approximately thirty minutes from our house. The facilities are nice. They have a separate dining area, the rooms are a nice size, and the cleanliness is fine, too. It looks great. They have the same type of amenities. As we were there, the activities coordinator was working with some of the residents. They also have a really nice courtyard that is enclosed, where they could actually go outside, and it's pleasant. The staff was very nice and very helpful.

Brookdale Deer Creek was very clean. They were very friendly, seemed very compassionate, and I just got really good vibes on the place. They had a lot of different activities, and they had exterior doors with alarms. They are handicapped-accessible, fully equipped, they had nice outdoors, and they had a good evacuation plan. They also had a tea room, a beauty shop, private dining, full service dining room, a nice family room for social gatherings, a library, and an outdoor courtyard.

Brookdale Deer Creek was very nice. It's a little fancier than the other place and it was too big. The determining factor for us was that the other facility gave us some price breaks that are within our price range, versus Brookdale, with or without discounts or breaks, they still are outside of our price range. We saw both the single and double rooms, and they were nice. The person who gave us the tour was very helpful, did what he could do, and he tried giving us a better rate. I told him, "I know your limit. You can only go so far and I appreciate you trying to give a little rate for us, but I don't think you're gonna be able to achieve the price break" and he couldn't. Based on their number and how far down they could discount it, I knew it was not possible to meet their price. The dining area was very nice. They had different clubs that people could participate in, they could go to different places, and they had a coffee shop area that was the size of a normal main dining facility.

The main thing to discuss here is the lack of response when a resident presses the button they are given upon entering this facility. This issue has been discussed with management four times to no avail. When the button is pressed, a light goes on by the reception desk. Someone is supposed to be sent up to the resident's room. Doesn't happen. Yesterday a woman was screaming for help for 20 minutes in her quarantined room. Another resident had to call the front desk for help and finally, someone showed up. If you're in trouble and ring for assistance, you're out of luck. My family member was choking one night and pressed the button. No one came. Someone walking by in the hallway heard the choking sounds and ran to get help. When a nurse finally showed up after 35 minutes, she tried to do the Heimlich Maneuver which was not appropriate because the resident could breathe and talk. Don't ask. Don't place your loved one here.

We toured the assisted living facility of Brookdale Deer Creek, but my mother did not need that level of care yet. However, it was very nice, very clean, and very comfortable. The staff member was very nice, very caring, asked a lot of questions, and I think they also understood that it was more than what my mom needed.

My father is in Brookdale Deer Creek for 6 weeks now, and it's been fair. They sit around all day and watch TV, and it's not a very active group. I don't think they have enough staff, frequently there's nobody on the floor, and I had to wait to get someone to buzz me out. It's 3 stories, and it's like a hotel, the rooms are large and bright. The dining area is small and fairly average.

This place is horrible. My grandfather was here for 6 months and unfortunately he passed but to get to the point. Every time I went to visit him I would find cockroaches in his room. When we moved his things there was a ton of cockroaches all over the room and under all the furniture. The director is a complete jerk. He doesn't call back when you leave him a message, he lies and all he cares about is filling rooms. He needs to be fired. They have no staff 3 nurses in the memory care until for 50 residents. This place is a joke. I wouldn't even let my worst enemy live there.

Brookdale Deer Creek is right across the street from the community where my mother was living, so she can have friends come over and visit her; that’s why we chose it. We were looking at Brookdale, but with this one being so close, we decided that it would be the answer. She’s still in a respite room and will be moving to a permanent room, hopefully, in the next week or two. The respite room that she’s in now is not very nice. I wasn’t impressed, but they got it ready fast, and it’s just not in super great shape. I understand that the room she will get will be a nice room. It will still be a studio but bigger and nicer than what she has now. As of today, things are working out; before today, it wasn’t that great. The staff, except for the recreation person, has been just terrific. Mom considers him her boyfriend, and the dining room staff has also been wonderful to her. Up until today, I have nothing, unfortunately, super great to say about the rest of the staff. My brother is a physician in Pittsburgh, and I don’t know if his interaction is what’s making things better, but everything seems to be going much better. I’m totally unimpressed with what I hear about the cleanliness, and I didn’t see them, but someone said there were cockroaches. Supposedly if you let them know there are cockroaches, they’ll spray your room. The lobby and everything looks super clean. Hopefully from this point on, things will go well. I did have a good experience when I visited them. There was nothing wrong, and it was perfectly fine.

Brookdale Deer Creek was very reasonably priced. It was a very competent place. Maybe not as fancy as the second place I visited, but the price was much less expensive, and it was nicer than where my sister in law was. The staff seemed very competent and nice. The food looked good, and their set-up was good. They had the normal activities. They had various organized games, church services, and outings, and they provided a van to take them places if they wanted to go somewhere.

We visited Brookdale Deer Creek. It was fair. I was not really impressed actually. However, the staff was very nice. They were very friendly and very helpful. I did see their rooms. They were very nice. The bedrooms were fine. What I did not like about this facility is that the dining room was upstairs. All the residents would have to take an elevator to get to the dining room. However, when we got on the elevator, it blacked out. As a whole, the facility was okay but I didn't feel that's the right place for my father.

Brookdale is a nice place and within my budget. So far, it works out very well with my mother. They have some live performances, and that is the activity, which I have a chance to witness. The dining area is very nice. They have a menu, and the food is good. They let you sample the food. They are very accommodating, and they are private pay.

I visited Brookdale Deer Creek. The staff was very accommodating. They gave me a tour of the facility. The apartments were very nice and spacious. The dining area was also very nice. It was restaurant style, and they had an extensive menu. They had card games and lectures. I thought it looked secure. It was a very nice facility. I thought that somebody would enjoy living there, and I would recommend it to others.

Brookdale Deer Creek was quite large, so there was not a lot of outdoor space, but it was clean. The person who met me was very nice. I only saw a few residents, but I didn't see a whole lot of interaction amongst them. It felt like a nursing home to me, and I don't like that feeling whatsoever. I walked into two different apartments: one with somebody already living in them and an empty efficiency. They were OK. There wasn't anything special. The person who assisted me showed me the calendar of activities. She was busy with another family when I got there, so I waited. I don't think she knew I was coming or something. I did make an appointment. I didn't make it directly. The lady has called me several times from there; she was very nice. She called me several times to see if there's anything she could do to help me, but I just feel that was not the place for my mom.

Brookdale Deer Creek had a memory care unit, and she transferred from one Brookdale community to another. Everything seems to be good. The staff seems good, and the place seems clean and up-to-date. My mother is in the memory care unit so they do puzzles, watch TV, listen to music, and watch movies.

I went and my experience was fine. They were very nice, but I didn't get sense from the residents if they were happy, and there was something lacking. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The rooms were adequate. They were not fancy, but they were fine. They had games and things like that, but it didn't seem that they had really high grade professional performers coming in on a daily basis. It seemed clean, but I would be honest; there were areas that smelled a little bit like urine, which I did not like. I thought they needed to provide more live entertainment for the residents -- more activities to make their residents happy and constantly entertained.

My father liked Brookdale Deer Creek the best. It was a little bigger, and it seemed to have more men there from his point of view. My parents are very comfortable there although they are still going to a little bit of transition moving out of their home. I know they have bingo and hair and nails for my mom. They really like the dining convenience.

My friend is at Brookdale at Deer Creek. My first impression of it was that it just had a good feel about it. It wasn't a huge open space. The lobby was more like a small hotel lobby, but it was very nicely done. There were marble floors and a casual sitting area. I like the staff very much. Security was good. It's a friendly place. In some of the other places we went to, there were people sitting around in wheelchairs who didn't even look at each other or talk to each other. However, I felt like Brookdale is a community where people talk to each other and know each other. It's the community feel in there.

I stayed at here for a couple of days. It was pretty good for a small facility. It looks like a hotel. It had 5 bedrooms and could hold about 15 or 16 people. The rooms could have been better. They worked hard and were able to care for the people that were there on a one-on-one basis. They were there 24/7 if anybody needed them.

I visited this place and it was wonderful. The staff were so sweet to everyone who entered. I met the manager of the facility and he couldn't not have been any nicer to me. I even enjoyed while speaking with him, as residents walked past us, each and every one of them said hello to the Manager, and his response was lovely. Highly recommend! Nice and Clean too!

I chose it for my mother because they seem to have more activities there. She is in the independent living. This allows her the freedom to walk around and do whatever she wants to do without being in an apartment. At two of the other places we went to, she would have to have her own apartment and her own furnishing; here, we didn't have to do any of that. Her room is pretty big. She has a bedroom and a sitting room with a TV. The staff is very nice. They treat my mother with respect, and they are very friendly. They seem to be very caring. They have institutional food, but when I visited the other places, it was exactly the same. My mother is 90 and never really eats a lot, and she says the food is not the best, but that may just be because she is 92. They should improve the food and have more stimulating activities for the residents who are able to do them. However, I am happy that my mom is settled, and she seems to be happy.

We did check it out but we didn’t like the layout at all. They have these long corridors and they have little rooms. It's kind of cold plus it's so far away from us. They have these recreational rooms, but they were very tiny that it looks like a closet and they didn’t have anything in them.

There is a very warm atmosphere in here. As you walk into the lobby, there are people that greet you and they're very nice and very friendly people. They showed me the activities they have. They have bingo, exercises, arts, music, movies, etc. The activity room is pretty much the same as with the other facilities I've visited. We had lunch there and the food was very good. I also like this facility because it is not super huge and it is very clean. The woman in sales that I've talked to even offered my mom to stay there for two weeks and try it out. I thought that was really good. This place is something that I would seriously consider. It is a very nice community.
