House of Lebanon is a very nice community for people aged 55 and over. I toured it, and they have a community center that's downstairs in the basement, and the property is beautiful outside. You walk in, and it's a secured area. You have to use a key fob or a dial-in. There's seating outside. You walk in the door, and the place is clean. The community center downstairs has bingo and other activities for the seniors to come together. The leasing office is on the 1st floor, and then you go to the 2nd or 3rd floor to the apartments. They have an elevator, and the apartments are nice. They have parking in the back for the seniors who drive, and you have to use a key fob to get onto the property. The apartments inside look good. It has updated cabinets, updated appliances, and the floors look good. They have grab bars that you hold on to if you want to get into the shower. They also have the emergency cords, so if somebody's in the bathroom and they fall or whatever, they could pull the cord. I like it. The cleanliness on the outside was amazing. You walk in, and the grounds are nice. They had flowers and trees. You walk into the gate, and they have seating around. It's like an entryway with flowers and trees. They can sit and talk, and then the door is right in front of you. You walk in, and the floors are clean because they are shining. It's not cluttered or anything. The person who gave the tour was very nice, very knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of information. She's very patient, too. They have a dining area that the residents can go to, but I don't think they offer food in that capacity. Most people there buy their own groceries and cook in their own apartments. I don't think they offered meals, and I didn't see that as an option. I just saw where they could sit in a cafeteria together, if they wanted to.

I went to House of Lebanon, and I spoke with the property manager who gave me a tour. They were still working on the unit that I looked at. She gave me the application and everything to fill out. There were two more in the building that they were working on. She said they would be available for showing like mid-September, because I told her that I wanted to see those as well before making a final decision. They had very nice, big, very spacious rooms. They had new cabinets and new appliances. The lady was very nice. I highly recommend her. It was very warm and very inviting. I felt really at home when I went there. I said I could really see myself here, so I really pray that it goes well, because I really like it. The apartments have everything in there. You have a full kitchen and a dishwasher. They have washers and dryers. They have a multi-purpose room you could use for entertaining or something, which is real big. They have parking and a patio area to sit out, like a little atrium. There's a lot of things about it I like. It's not very decorative. It's an old school they renovated, but it's clean.

The visit to the House of Lebanon was good. The young lady I spoke with was very kind and polite, which is why I put my confidence in thinking that I would hear from them. It's been almost two weeks now, and I'm not hearing back from anyone. I saw the two-bedroom apartment, which was nice. There was a lot of space in there, which I needed because I have a lot of things. It would have worked out fine for me, but I'm in limbo right now, trying to figure out what's going on. The grounds needed some work done. It was a lot of shrubbery that needed to be trimmed back. It needed some landscaping.

I toured the House of Lebanon. It's a nice apartment building with nice people. The staff who assisted me was good, but she was not always there. They don't have a common area. It's an apartment, and it's clean and nice.

My brother is a resident of the House of Lebanon. I've been there several times and I have no complaints about that at all. He doesn't get the food. He cooks his food. He thoroughly likes the activities. He said he has no plans of going anywhere else. He's going to stay right there. So, it's working out for him. The staff has been very nice to him. His room is a nice size, and they're improving the community.
