Hillside Center was very nice. I liked it very much. I would have taken my mom there. The facility was very clean, the rooms were very nice, spacious and adequate enough. They were very good with how they work with people in there. They have a lot of activities for them. They also had a nice library for reading and a nice library for movies.

Complete Care at Hillside is progressively going down hill. The pictures on the site are far from what is viewed in reality! Upon entering the building there are excessive cigarette butts on the ground with residents asking for assistance to take them back inside. The furniture has been removed from the Family Lounge and it is now used as an unorganized storage area. The dining area where residents from other floors all shared a meal & conversed with one another has been turned into a dialysis unit, leaving them to eat on their floor only. I would hate to think on site management can only do what their off site owners/board members instruct them to do, in order to keep cost at a bear minimum so they can incur more profit in their pockets. Hillside must do better!!!

The rooms are routinely clean by maintenance. However, with the high turn over of CNA Staff, soiled gloves have been found on dressers, call bell not available to bedridden resident, etc. There is no selection of entree for residents to choose from. Chicken nuggets and French fries or Peanut butter sandwiches are their daily go to menu; hot meals are far and in between. They're always short staff which causes a burnout to employees & a "why should I attitude" with the temporary contractors used. They are there to collect a check only with no compassion for the residents.

30 day residential Rehabilitation following a hospital stay. The lobby area looks nice, but as soon as you get to the 'floor' it's a whole different feeling. Trash on the floor in the hallways. Room was dirty- the floor was sticky, black dust at the baseboards and in corners. The air vent in the bathroom was thick with filth and the filters for the hotel-style HVAC system were also filthy. Proper cleaning does not happen. The use of a household Swiffer mop does not count as cleaning a patient's room. Toilet leaked into the room repeatedly. The solution was to turn off the water source to the toilet. We saw a MOUSE and a few bugs, too, in the room! The window did not shut properly. I used medical tape to close up the gap in the window to stop the February weather from coming in! Most of the nursing staff is good- very friendly. Some nurses just don't care if the trash makes it into the trash can in a patient's room, though. PT team was alright, but there are no weekend services. Overall, the equivalent of a 'dollar store' care facility. Does it get the job done?-Yes Is it what you'd expect?-No way!
