"My mom moved to Greeley Village. What I like about it is that it's close to where I live, and I had asked the facility to place a camera in her room, and they said that it's fine. It's a really big, spacious room, with a big, spacious bathroom so my mom can get in there with her walker, and a wheelchair when she needs it. They have a staff dedicated to walking her down for dinner because she's not going to remember when to go or where to go, so I also really appreciate that. And just transportation to driving. There's a podiatrist, dentist, and her PCP who all visit the facility. So those were all reasons why I wanted to choose that location. They also have memory care but she can be outside the memory care because she doesn't elope. They supply a refrigerator and microwave, but she doesn't have an oven which is another thing that I like because she's not safe with an oven or a stove. And then they do her laundry once a week and they clean her room once a week. They have three meals a day and snacks. The food is pretty good, you can choose the meals. There's a set meal every day, but there's an alternate list, like grilled cheese, hamburger, and some pretty standard stuff that you can get if you don't want the main meal that they're serving. The facility is beautiful and they have activities there. There's an app where I can see the activities that she participates in, and there are pictures of what she's doing."

"I toured The Lodge at Greeley. The community is very modern and up-to-date. The people are friendly. The facility is clean. It does have things to do there for the members of the community. It's right across the street from the shopping center, which would be very convenient. It has a grocery store there and a nice shopping center. The staff was very friendly. They're also very helpful and very knowledgeable. They do have open spaces for walking and sitting. They even have a small greenhouse where you can go in and have plants in there, if you want plants in there and such so you can work with your plants. They have a small gym area. They have what they call a theater area where you can watch movies and DVDs, things like that. They also have other rooms dedicated to games and things like that."

Gardens Care Senior Living - Memorial Park is a great senior living community that can house both Assisted Living (open now) and Memory Care (opening soon) on one beautiful property with 3 unique homes. Each home can house up to 16 residents and this is instrumental for our residents to receive exceptionally personalized care. Our passion for activities is a large reason our seniors have a sense of community and inclusivity. We offer a minimum of 4 activities per day and dedicate a caregiver full-time to activities, this helps our residents come out of their shells and grow relationships with both our caregivers and other residents. Despite being a residential assisted living home, our staff is awake 24 hours a day, our overnight caregivers focus primarily on preparing the meals for the day. This gives our daytime caregivers the freedom to leave the kitchen and tend to our resident's needs. Lastly, we pride ourselves in our all-inclusive pricing. We don't believe in hidden costs or additional costs to the family due to a higher than normal level of care month. Therefore, the price you agree to is the price you'll pay and this includes outings, haircuts, activities, manicures, pedicures and many more amenities. "We toured and we looked at a couple of different sized rooms. We talked to one of the directors there. We looked in all the different places like the workout room and the physical therapy room. We looked at all the dining areas and the hallways. They were nice and clean and didn’t have an odor in them. There was a lot of staff around, and they answered our questions. They were very open and friendly and didn’t mind us walking around. The residents were happy to talk to us. They answered our questions, and they seemed to be very happy living there."

"My mother was at Collinwood for nearly 2 years. The staff, especially the "seasoned" staff, were remarkable. They were efficient, caring, sensitive, and professional. They were especially attuned to my mother's particular needs. My mother had not been receptive to caregivers until then, but she loved the Collinwood staff from the minute she got there. The administrative staff were patient, caring, and helpful. I never once had any concerns that my mother was receiving the best care possible. The rooms were kept clean; the common spaces are lovely; and the ability to go outside into a big lovely space was wonderful for my mother. The food was very good and the chef would prepare anything my mother wanted any time she wanted it! My mother never wanted to participate in any of the activities, but there were plenty of them and seemed to be enjoyed by many of the residents. They also bring in outside activities relatively frequently. Whenever my mother needed to be taken to an appointment, it was arranged for and carried out efficiently and always on time by very caring staff."

"Everything seems to be real good at Brookdale. The staff is really helpful, and it’s a very nice clean place. The apartment is big enough; it's a 2-room apartment to accommodate enough chairs and a very small kitchen which he really doesn’t need much. The bedroom is wide enough for my dad. The dining room is very nice and clean, and the food seems to be very good, I ate there a couple of times myself. They seemed they have activities every day that they can take part in if they want to. "

"My father-in-law stays at Sterling House at the Orchards. The staff are very friendly and very helpful, and they seem to have a very good rapport with all the people there. The apartments are wonderful, but the only thing that I'm concerned about is the bathroom; a doorway into the bathroom from the bedroom would be a good idea. It is very clean, everything looked fine, and the patients seemed very happy. I wasn't able to stay for a meal, so they gave me a pie to take home, and it was very good. The dining room looked beautiful. I didn't see anything that was of concern to me with security. They have crafts, exercise, and music. I would recommend them. "

"Brookdale fit our needs very well. We really liked the small community feel because it's not a big impersonal institution. The entire staff knows each resident by first name, and treats us like family. The one bedroom apt. was nice and staff comes in and cleans and does laundry on a regular basis. We were able to decorate as we wanted when Mom moved in. Staff is available and responds quickly whenever needed. Residents are expected to have meals in the dining room, and they're served like a restaurant. I joined Mom several times for dinner and I liked the food, and portions were sized right for her (but not for me... I eat a lot). Snacks and drinks are brought to rooms throughout the day which is a nice touch. Mom had lived at other places before, and when it became time to find an assisted living facility, we focused on finding a place where she would feel at home. We found it here because of the staff.... they just seemed to care more than other places we've been. And for that, thank you."

"Brighton is its own little community"”a nice factory town, with plenty of amenities. This is one of the more modern-looking care facilities in the area"”nice and clean on the outside. There is also an covered sitting area with rattan chairs and tile floor. On the inside, the common area has a large glass birdcage that's a focal point in the den, with fireplace and books and a desk. The décor provides a homey feel. The communal dining room is elegantly set with tablecloths and cloth napkins"”and the meals are fair to good. Lots of activities are offered, including a range of arts and crafts and a cooking club. The staff has a lot of interaction with residents because the facility is rather small, with room for 60; the staff to resident ration is 3 to 1, which is quite good. Assessments are done continually, which is a rather rare benefit. There is also a doctor who visits once a month, but no dedicated memory care is available. Cost of housing starts at $2,800 a month for a studio; $3,000 for one bedrooms. Beyond that, the care is customized per person--$88 per month for shower assistance, for example, so added care can mount up to be quite costly. Sterling House accepts Medicaid, Medicare, longterm care insurance and private pay to cover costs. In fact, the biggest drawback for many potential residents may be the price. For others, it might be their mental health too, since memory care is not specifically offered here; while it might be possible for a resident requiring memory care to stay, the additional in-home personal care would be costly. -This reviewer, Ruth Hillesheim, is a social worker with extensive nursing home experience, with an emphasis on Alzheimer's and dementia care. "The apartments are very spacious and have been remodeled after each move out, ( before one moves in) They have a lot of activity ( but do not encourage people to go to them, they don’t have anyone going to see/ ask/ convince/remind residents of them. Which would be nice, especially those that are forget full ( or so not read the activity sheet that they have been given.) The food smells good, looks good! Haven’t tried it personally though. The staff are very nice and friendly and willing to help out. It would be nice if they could get more training for a few though. They should all be trained on oxygen, how to run machines, changing portable tanks, turning on/off. And know that resident needs it on ( especially when up and walking around (as that’s when their o2 drops the most) so suggesting they take it off to walk to bathroom or something is not safe. Providing (suggesting to residents) personal hygiene am: washing hands, face, brushing teeth, hair. Pm: brushing teeth) Remind residents to simply wash hands after being on toilet, ( especially when they are there helping residents). Making sure that residents who have pets keep them in their apartments or in a leash, not running around the halls, going into other people’s apartments, then owners just going into other’s rooms without permission/knocking ( rather the owner of apartment is there or not) pet owners should have no rights to be allowed to do that,( invading one’s privacy and property) they shouldn’t have a pet if they can not control it or take care of it, maybe they should have a baby gate up to prevent pet from running out and running off. Our love one enjoys his little place and the people there."

"Garden Square of Greeley was very clean and people are absolutely friendly and caring. I'm very comfortable with my mom being there. The staff is trained in memory care and they understand Alzheimer's and dementia. They're very attentive to my mother's needs, and they give me unprompted updates on her, meaning if she's having a really good or bad day, they let me know. I don't even ask for it, they just provide it to me. The meals are very diverse and they've done a good job on that."
