My husband has been at Canyon Villas for a year and seven months. It was nice, and I liked the people who took good care of my husband. It had a great atmosphere and was central to family and friends. It’s reasonable, yet really expensive here in San Diego. There are different levels of care there, including a dementia unit.

My mother-in-law is at Canyon Villas right now. She's doing good there and she didn't have any complaint. I have not tasted the food, but I see everyone eating and I don't hear any complaint. What is nice is that if they didn't like the food, they can have a fruit plate. They have activities like shopping, bingo, readers' clubs and card games. The place is very clean.

My parents found Canyon Villas several years ago. I think the people there are exemplary. Everybody is pleasant and seems to be doing their jobs and if there is an emergency they take care of it quickly. My mother likes the food and they did very good care. I visit her all the time and I've never seen any problems with anyone there.

As soon as you walk in this facility you can see that they meet the standard for senior living. The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. Viewing how active the seniors were it was more like if I were visiting a resort as oppose to a facility for seniors. It was by far one of the best facilities I have had the pleasure to visit. The facility was clean and the grounds were a beautiful park like setting. It was really excited to see how the residents were engaging in different activities and conversations. There were all sorts ofboard games. They even have a pool table, beauty shop even a fitness room. I was sort of jealous, I wanted to play. The main dining hall is like a bistro with table lines. Gorgeous! This facility is one who works very hard and one that strives to help their seniors to live there life happy and it seems that they have accomplished just this. They have gone above and beyond to to provide these seniors with a life where age is not an issue. Mission Accomplished!
