My mom was moved into Casa Verdugo on the 27th of last month, and it was the 11th when she passed away this month. She stayed in their assisted living. Everything was top-notch and excellent. The staff was very, very caring. What I liked about it is that it's not one of these places with a large community. It was 5 or 6 patients, even though I only saw about 3 or 4 patients. I like the fact that they have enough staff for the people that they have. They also have home-cooked meals right there. She had no complaints at all. The cook was accommodating to each person. Once you walked in, you walked into the dining area. You had to pass through that to get to the bedrooms. Everything was clean and smelled great. I wouldn't say she was raving about it, but she loved the food there. There were plenty of vegetables, too.
