Tradewind Terrace Assisted Living

We visited the Tradewind Terrace Assisted Living facility located in Fallbrook, CA on a trip to view some places to find one that would be suitable for our uncle. The front entrance resembled a mansion, with its stately columns. The foyer was lovely, with floral arrangements in the seated waiting area. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant. The main gathering rooms included an ample library with a fireplace, a spacious work-out room and other various activity rooms. Everyone seemed very pleasant and the residents looked like they were having a good time playing cards, games and interacting with each other. We were not able to try any of the food, but it did look appetizing and snacks are available any time desired. We were impressed with the many outdoor patios available for friend and family visits, suitable for barbecues, special occasions and other parties. The single home dwellings were larger than many we've seen and would be suitable for a couple or two residents. This could be helpful for us, as one of our aunts may soon be ready to join our uncle at some point. Our uncle thought the small home would also have plenty of room for sleepovers and private parties. The other independent living spaces consisted of nice sized rooms and small, but quaint apartments. There is always staff and assistance available, no matter what type of space you choose to live in. Because our uncle has sciatica, is diabetic and has early Alzheimer's, we were relieved to know that the facility is overseen by an emergency physician who is available much of the time. His support staff is trained to handle any type of emergency. There are also complimentary physician consultations for all residents if desired. The facility had a very congenial atmosphere and we really liked everything that we saw.
