"Anchor Bay at East Providence is a little more modern than where Mom is. One of the drawbacks for me is that, depending on the time of day, it's going to be a half hour and 45 minutes to get there. The staff was great, particularly the people showing me around and talking about all the things that they provide. The facilities were very nice and new. I would have chosen this one if it was the closest one to me. They were just a little bit more expensive, maybe $1500 a month more expensive."

"We toured Anchor Bay at Pocasset for my mom. If my mom could afford it, that's where she would be going. It was very clean. It did not have an odor to it. The room was nice and a decent size for what she needed. They were very helpful. My mom is a diabetic, so I expressed my concern for her food. They said they had different options she could choose from, and if I had any concerns, I could go over it with them. I have an aunt that has been living in Anchor Bay at Pocasset for 30 years now, and she said the place is wonderful. From what they showed us, it looked like they had good selections of activities for people to do."

"The tour I had at Brookdale Attleboro was great. The staff was really friendly. We met someone at reception. She met us right away then she introduced us to Karen, the director of admissions. We got a tour of the common areas and I thought they were beautiful. I was very, very impressed with everything, including the landscaping outside the building and when you first walked into the entrance (the reception area). I thought the dining room was beautiful. They showed us another room where families could kind of gather and everything about it was very nice. If that was within our budget, I would have been very happy to send my dad there. I think that would have been my first choice. We talked to Karen for about 45 minutes and even after she found out that that was not going to be an option for us, she still just gave us so much more information to help us make a good decision for my dad that was so helpful. We got a lot of invaluable information from her. So I appreciated that. They offered coffee and water when we walked in, which I thought was very nice, but we declined."

"The rooms are modern and comfortable. The food is very well prepared. I would expect nothing less for my mother. The staff however, is beyond compare. They are well trained, hard working and the most caring people you will ever meet. My mom was lucky enough to live here for over five years. She, and we, love The Branches"

"I visited Smithfield Woods Senior Living and toured their assisted living facility for my friend. I like the sense of community and friendliness there. The staff members were extremely knowledgeable and very patient in answering my multitude of questions. The rooms, even though my friend will be having the smaller-sized room, are adequate. It's enough to fit a little seating area plus the bed, has a kitchenette, and the bathroom is a nice big size. I'm very pleased with it."

"I toured Atria Bay Spring Village and liked everything, like the dining hall. I liked the fact that there were other amenities inside the building. They had exercise classes close to the bike path. It's very clean. The floorplans were very nice. They're roomy enough, and the bathrooms were very good."

"Greenwich Farms at Warwick was a very nice place. Everybody was very nice. It was very clean. The deluxe studio has a little kitchenette, so it gives you enough room. It's my first choice. People went out of their way to open the door up for you and to be very pleasant. When I came, they had a sign welcoming me with my name on it. Twice I went there and at both times, they gave me a loaf of bread. Everybody was hospitable. They give you quite a variety of food. If you want to modify it somewhat, you can do that. They have so many choices if you want to substitute something other than what they're having. You can mix it up too. The food was very good and I'm a very picky eater. I attended bingo and I saw some of the activities that they had. They also have a little pub there. I would not be escorted to the lunchroom. They do the laundry for people, but I would do my own laundry except for the linens. They do the linens and they clean everybody's apartment."

"I visited The Phyllis Siperstein Tamarisk RI Assisted Living Residence. I chose it for myself and my wife because it's closer to where I live. Also, I know people who have gone there. It's a beautiful place. The entire place is beautiful. It's clean and has no old person smell. The food is good. They have a gym and a library, but I haven't visited all the areas yet. The staff has been excellent. The building itself is spectacular, and it is organized."

"I visited Halcyon at West Bay and toured their assisted living for my husband. The people were very nice, kind, and polite. They gave me a complete tour and answered any questions I had. I like the facility. It was very clean and well taken care of. It was just a pleasant experience. I looked at a 1-bedroom, and it looked like there was enough space. It didn't feel crowded and cramped."

"My mom moved into All American Assisted Living at Wrentham. I chose it because it was like the first one I went to, it was close to my house, and it was very clean. Everybody there is awesome. My mother has not complained about the food. She eats every meal. There's a lot of activities. They give a flier every day and they do them all day long. They do exercises, bingo, bowling, arts and crafts, and puzzles. They play games, like a Jeopardy type thing."

"My mom moved to All American Assisted Living at Warwick, and it's nice that everything is planned for memory care. We're having good feedback from the staff. They were very attentive and didn't have a large turnaround of staff. It's the same people staying there. My mom said the food was very good. They do all sorts of in-house activities and also go out. The rooms are very good size."

"My dad, who is 96, has been there for almost a year, and is very happy at Commonwealth House. He tells people it’s not a facility, it’s a real home, and everyone there, residents and staff alike, is part of the family. As soon as we walk through the door, every time we walk through the door, for as long as we stay, it feels like home, because the staff and residents genuinely care about each other. Dad feels accepted by everyone there, and feels a very strong sense of belonging. He enjoys the food and participates in all of the activities because he loves being with the group. Whatever Dad needs, the staff is always there to provide it promptly and professionally, with compassion, and keeps us updated whenever there is anything we need to know. We never have to worry. We know that he is getting the best possible care. There is nothing I would wish them to improve upon. They routinely provide a stellar environment with stellar care. Dad told me he could never have imagined that a place like this actually existed. Neither could we, but I’m so grateful that we found them."

"The Village at Willow Crossings was a terrific place. It was the greatest place you could imagine. I only met two of the staff members. One was the manager, the other was walking the floors, and they were both great. We talked to some of the residents and they loved the staff, too. You could get a single room or a shared room, depending on what you want. The place was almost brand new. It was clean as a whistle and it was very nicely laid out. It was long and it covered a lot of areas, which would be a little difficult for my mom because she couldn't walk that far."

"I went to Benchmark Senior Living at Forge Hill. They gave me detailed information. They walked me through the process. They got me to the rooms. I got to meet the people that would be taking care of my mother. Some of them were there that day. And, they were just very thorough and explained everything. They spent a good amount of time with me and gave me all the pricing and all the steps. The staff was excellent. They were doing construction work. But the rooms were incredibly well done. They walked me through and explained to me that they were making some improvements. I understand that maintenance is required for any of these places and improvements will be made. It was clean. It didn't smell. It was fine."
