"The last facility my mom where was Skylark. I tasted the food, and it was good. If you got an Alzheimer’s patient or family member -- like my mom was I want to add -- put her in Skylark. Because of the clients that they were working with -- like my mom was in the later stages of Alzheimer’s -- they had several patients like this, and they did well about it. The living is environment is homey, good furniture, a nice little library, TV, and church services. "

"My sister and I visited a year ago this March. She had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We thought at one time we would need to place her in a home for recovery. However, the end came on very fast, she was unable to take care of herself. Morrow Heights was a blessing. They helped us move her in on February 4th. The entire staff was caring and supportive. Their constant vigilance to her needs along with the caring way of making her comfortable was amazing. We were blessed to have her in this home for her final days. I would recommend this home for your loved ones. The home is clean and well maintained. I thank the entire staff for the support and caring we received."

"I've checked out some assisted living facilities online and it was on the top of the list. That would be where I would go. It was very clean. The staff was very cordial. The food was good and the dining room was set up just like a restaurant. They did give me a schedule of what activities they have like crafts, cards, aerobics, etc. They had a wide range of activities."

"I did a tour of The Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living. It wasn't as clean, and the people didn't seem as friendly. We just didn't have a good feeling there at all. We didn't think that it would be for us or my sister. The rooms that we looked at needed a needed cleaning. They have a washer and dryer for the people that are in each apartment. We looked at a one-bedroom and a studio. The one bedroom was okay, the size was fine, but it needed cleaning. It hadn't been cleaned yet by the last people that lived there. But the studio would be the one that we would be looking at. it was small, but it was doable as far as that goes. It needed some work, but it had a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer. we just weren't satisfied with that place at all, it was more money than the other facility. I didn't feel that the staff knew a whole lot about what she was doing. She's the receptionist at the desk. I didn't think she knew a whole lot about the facility itself as far as the living apartments and stuff, but she showed them to us. They have a lot of activities and amenities and a full calendar. You can do bingo or whatever, and they have tours you can take from the facility. They will take you to your doctor's appointments and stuff like that, but only on Mondays. If you have a doctor's appointment on another day, then you've got to find transportation. You're only allowed one meal a day at that place, you have to pay for your meals. Either go out and have your meals, or you can pay for a meal at that place. The dining area looks nice. It was clean, and there were a few people when we were there, that was about dinnertime. The facility needed a lot of work. Some maintenance really needed to be done and things."

"My dad was in the Avamere. They were right next to a hospital and their environment was okay. They had a center patio and raised garden beds. My husband and I did the raised garden beds for them, so we were there everyday and we also helped with Bingo. They had a balloon toss, and somebody comes in once a week to sing for them. The food was pretty good and if you didn't like something, they'd make you another sandwich. What I liked best about it were probably the people that worked with and helped my Dad. "

"With The Orchards Assisted Living, it wasn't a very pleasant visit. The second I walked in, the two people at the front desk, I told them that we were there for a tour, and they stood there fighting about who was going to take us on a tour. They were fighting like, 'I'm not doing it.' 'No, I'm not doing it.' 'I already did one today, so I'm not doing it.' It was just like they were fighting, and my mom and I were just standing there waiting for somebody to take us on a tour. It wasn't very pleasant. The facility was nice. There wasn't an issue with the facility. It was mainly just the staffing. One of the managers ended up taking us on a tour, and every time I tried to ask her a question about something that was going on or just trying to get more information about the facility, she was like, 'Oh, I don't know. You would have to talk to somebody else.' It was really bad. I also noticed like even when we were doing the tours, the lady was very interactive with the residents. We were kind of walking right past them. For amenities, they don't have a beauty salon, but they have a huge room that has everything in it. It has a bookshelf with some books on it, and it has a TV with some couches. They don't have like an individual library or anything like that. They just have a little bookshelf with some books on it. "

"What I like about Ashley Manor Care Center is that it's small and intimate. The staff is fabulous, caring, compassionate, and funny. My mom has been here for almost two months now. Being a small facility, they can almost give the residents one on one care. They have two residents per room, and it's a fairly large room, so they are not tripping over each other. The place is very spacious. With regards to their food, they offer different varieties. The place is also secured. They have a code to get in and a code to get out. I am absolutely very satisfied with them. "

"Mother also lived in the Fountain Plaza. They had a bus that would take the residents to their doctor's office or whatever kind of medical appointment they had to go through. The place was homey and well-maintained. The lady behind their front desk was an absolute delight, she made the whole experience enjoyable, and she's the best thing that I liked about this facility. "

"Weatherly Inn would set your apartment up comfortably. They provide you with a bed and blankets. When you walk into the facility, it wasn't so plain. It looked homey and that was a big impression. We checked out the memory care and it was nice, clean, and smelled well. They had a couple of dining rooms and a big kitchen where they have little classes like making milkshakes, cooking, or baking cookies and stuff (my dad kind of smiled about that). They also had a Jacuzzi-type walk-in tub, so those that couldn't stand could get clean, and Dad liked that, too. The people were very hospitable. They didn't run him through it. They let him stroll at his own pace. They all made eye contact with him. They had the TV going and it was all relaxed. They could have snacks in the room if they wanted to."

"We took a tour of the Springs at Veranda Park, but they did not take my father. It was a good tour, the person was very good, and very knowledgeable, but it was more expensive than the other places. They have a balcony which would have been very good for him, and it went all around the dining area. It was really pretty. They have several different dining areas, they do exercises, they have movie nights, and they have a bus for people to go on appointments. They have a professional chef, and the facilities were very clean, very pretty, and very well kept."

"Bartlett House of Medford is a small place. We heard that the staff was good. They had a good reputation from therapists who have been there themselves with clients and loved ones. They were very quick in responding to us, so we were able to get my mom in right away. The food is good, it's very high quality, and everything is fresh. It's a beautiful area, the landscaping is kept up very well, and there's a very safe, secured backyard. It's not overdone; it's simple, not overwhelming, and small. They only have fifteen-to-sixteen patients at a time there. I think they also try to get people to focus on activities there."

"I toured the Rogue Valley Manor. It was very open and airy. I like the fact there was plenty of room to walk around and enjoy yourself. The people were really nice. They answered all my questions, and they were not really pushy (which I appreciated). They have great food. It looked like a great place to live. The staff were very friendly and open. It was very nice, clean, and well taken care of."

"I visited Anna Maria Creekside quite often while my grandfather was living there. This facility seems bustling and full of energy and life every time I visit. I was always greeted with warm, friendly smiles and helpful attitudes from the staff members and the residents are always happy and willing to open up and talk with me about the facility and themselves.Residents all seemed to be quite happy and well taken care of. One thing I remember was that the food was quite good, better than I had expected. The living quarters that my Grandfather lived in were quite nice. Anna Maria Creekside had most of the amenities that he wanted. The residents at Anna Maria Creekside all get along well with one another, it really is very home-like and the staff and residents act more as a family than merely just staff and residents. My Grandfather immediately found company to his liking and spent much of his time with other residents. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone, or their family members. "

"I would recommend Northridge Center. I like everything about it; the rooms, food, the way they kept the rooms, the way they kept it closed, and all of this. She had nothing to do except what she wanted to do. Unfortunately, it was on the highway there, and in the later stages she is going out the door and across the street. Send anyone that wants to be in a nice quiet facility as everything you would ever want there. They could have as much oversight as they want. They had games, they went to places, they went out to the stores, church, and they have people come in for entertainment. "
