Financial Assistance for Assisted Living in Talent

Ashland Senior Center(541) 488-5342Ashland Senior Center offers in-person group dining by reservation, a community garden, a lending library, walking, game, discussion and reading groups, technology classes and workshops, yoga, tai chi, line dancing and Friday movies. The center publishes a monthly newsletter with a calendar of upcoming activities. Those aged 62 and over are eligible for free transportation to and from the center.
Jackson  County Veterans Services(541) 774-8200Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and their surviving spouses can receive assistance with navigating the application process for service-based entitlements and benefits. This agency can also help with appeals for those who have been denied benefits.

The Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance Program (SHIBA)(800) 722-4134Those struggling with making Medicare decisions can get help from certified SHIBA volunteers. The program is designed to save Medicare recipients as much money as possible by comparing supplemental insurance plans and making sure they receive all the benefits to which they are entitled.
