"Most of the staff I encountered at The Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living was very nice. The waiting area was very comfortable. They did come periodically and asked us if we needed anything. The CEO showed up and came over and talked to us and told us that she was sorry for the wait we were dealing with. Then the human resource person came and gave us a tour and was very nice and very thorough. I was just kind of reluctant because I felt like the rooms were a little small compared to what my brother was used to, but I've stuck The Bridge in the back of my mind. It may be just a temporary place for him to go. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They always have snacks available for the residents there. They're constantly doing all kinds of activities. They do arts and crafts. They have people come in, like singing groups or people that'll come in and do arts and crafts with the residents. You can walk in there at any time and just say, "Hey, I want to tour" or whatever. If somebody is available, they'll give you a tour. They've got an activity room and it's got tons and tons of movies and books, and it's kind of sectioned off but then there is the area where everybody can get together."

"I toured Solista Grants Place by Cogir. She was nice and answered my questions, and I got to see everything. I got to see some rooms. She even gave me a sandwich, so I got to sample the food. It was a pleasant experience overall, and it was nice. She did a great job. In the apartment I saw, the appliances were included. These are the ones that had full dining room opportunities. The kitchens were only small. It's not a full kitchen with a range and an oven. It just has a sink, a microwave, and a refrigerator. At that moment when I came in, they had just gotten a bunch of deliveries in, and it was a bit cluttered, but it could be because of the deliveries, I thought. But other than that, it's really good. It wasn't filthy. It was fine."

"I toured Lakeland Senior Living. It was nice and clean. In the apartment, I didn't get a chance to go in and walk around or anything. Just kind of view from the door, other people were occupying them, but they seemed nice. They were small but nice. The staff was pleasant and informative. They answered all my questions."

"We toured the Cascades of Grants Pass. It was very comfortable, very inviting, and very welcoming. The place itself was very pleasant to walk into. The person I had dealt with was very helpful all the time. We spoke online and spoke on the phone. I was very pleased when I first walked in. The dining area was very attractive. There weren't as many people around at the time we came. The few people that we did see said they liked living there, and that it was very nice."

"We toured Countryside Village. It was very nice. A very nice woman took us around. I didn't like the dining room particularly. It was kind of bare-looking and divided up. It just wasn't inviting. I did visit one apartment, and it was a two-bedroom. I was only interested in a one-bedroom. They had kind of a hot pool which looked very inviting. They had a putting green and some nice walking areas. It was a very nice place. The facility seemed very good."

"Horizon Village was impressive and would fit our needs. Their coordinator was very good at showing us what may be coming available and how things work. They have activities every month from potlucks, bingo, people getting together to watch the Super Bowl, and different things like that. They have a community room and a dog walking area, too. The units were connected, like duplexes, and they had a one car garage. They had a dishwasher, a microwave, and a washer and dryer. We looked at a two-bathroom. One was a full bathroom, while the other was just a shower. Then they all had a patio and backyard. It seemed to be well maintained."
