"Horizon Village was impressive and would fit our needs. Their coordinator was very good at showing us what may be coming available and how things work. They have activities every month from potlucks, bingo, people getting together to watch the Super Bowl, and different things like that. They have a community room and a dog walking area, too. The units were connected, like duplexes, and they had a one car garage. They had a dishwasher, a microwave, and a washer and dryer. We looked at a two-bathroom. One was a full bathroom, while the other was just a shower. Then they all had a patio and backyard. It seemed to be well maintained."

"Pioneer Village has charm in look, with the layout and apartments having a homey feel, rather than a "grand" resort. The staff is always caring and helpful to the residents, family, and visitors. This type of surroundings is just what my mom needed to live independently. She feels safe, comfortable, and has a peace of mind knowing there is help right there if she needs it. During COVID, they handled the situation responsibly and sensitively. There are canopies set up outside with socially-distanced seating so that family and friends can meet and visit safely. Scheduled fun activities help keep spirits up and encourage residents to get out and safely do things during this challenging time. There have been no COVID outbreaks in the facility! I give my appreciation and winning vote all the way around!!"

"I visited Twin Creeks. The woman I dealt with was wonderful and I appreciated her. The rooms were beautiful. The food was wonderful. I had passed by a lot of rooms with activities when I was there, but I don't think there were too much going on. It was just too big for our need and my mom doesn't want to go anywhere. "

"Weatherly Inn was elegant, spacious, and very nicely laid out. They've got very, very nice staff and the people I met who gave me the tour was excellent. Their amenities were really good. They had a beautiful theater room with popcorn every night, they have game rooms, exercise rooms, and a nice little walking path. It's wonderful. I didn't eat there but I saw the menu and it looked really good. The outdoor area is beautifully landscaped and there's a quarter-mile walking trail."

"Fountain Plaza has a positive and friendly environment. It is also inviting and seems well maintained even though the furnishings are not brand new. I like the layout of the building. In the back of the facility there was a place where the residents could have their own little gardens where they could plant. "

"Overall I was very impressed with the staff and facilities! My mother was at the facility for physical therapy following a fall, and I worked with several therapists all of which were very kind and caring. The facility was clan and well staffed at all times. I spent most of my time in the therapy areas of the building, but did come in to contact with other staff who were also very polite and friendly. The outside of the building is very clean and looks more like a condo development them a nursing facility. The inside is very well kept and clean. The pool area where my mother did her therapy had the appearance of a health club, which I understand is also operated in the building. I would not hesitate to use the facility for either of my parents care in the future, and would happily recommend it to friends or family as well. "

"My Mom recently passed away on hospice care. She lived at Horton Plaza for over 10 years. My wife and I are having our own private struggle when we got the call that mom needed hospice care. Erin said she would take care of everything and it would be an honor for her and the employees at Horton Plaza to provide her end of life care. Mom loved the care staff that took care of her. She thought of the them as family. As we were packing her belongings we found a handwritten list of care employees Jennifer and Nichole, Esperanza and Monica and Amy #1 as Mom called her have worked there for a long time and my Mom knew about them and their family and kept me informed of schedule changes. The list went on Juliet, Chris, and Amy #2, and Savannah and Maria. Care staff would bring her books and extra desserts or a new ice cream flavor or buy her flowers. Several times someone bought my Mom distilled water for her oxygen tank and wouldn’t let Mom pay them back. we couldn’t be happier with the love she received. She felt she belonged."

"The Springs at Veranda Park was a very nice place. It's the most expensive of the bunch, but the grounds were extensive, the facilities were very nice, and very updated. There's a variety of housing units to suit the individual needs of the resident. The dining room and the menu looked very good. Either by facilities or personnel, it's a topnotch facility. If an individual can afford it, it would definitely be one to consider."

"It was alright, and the rooms were like the other community I visited. It was very appealing and everything looked great in it. We knew a couple who lived there and they were very happy there. We were invited to try the food, but we didn't follow up."

"I am waiting to go back for another tour in The Springs at Anna Maria. The people were excellent, and the facility was very nice that I want to go back for the second tour. The second tour is going to be just to see how the people get along and what activities they are involved with. During my first tour, they showed me a one-bedroom apartment. It was very nice. Everything was up to snuff. They had this small gym. I had a good lunch there. I enjoyed it. The amenities were pretty good as well, that's why I'm going back to check on that and their activities. I'm 77 years old, and I want a lot of excursions and activities to stay active. Out of all the places I've seen so far, this is probably the one I would wind up going to. Robin was very, very nice. She sent me a bouquet of flowers two weeks ago, and I still have two more flowers left that are still alive. They were just sent with love."
