My father is a resident of Countryside Village, and so far they've been great. They have all kinds of stuff every day going on, and there are tons of events that happen on a regular basis. The staff is super kind, nice, and helpful. I have tried the food, and they've got a great restaurant. It's the best senior community that we have in town. The value for the money is fair.

We toured Countryside Village. It was very nice. A very nice woman took us around. I didn't like the dining room particularly. It was kind of bare-looking and divided up. It just wasn't inviting. I did visit one apartment, and it was a two-bedroom. I was only interested in a one-bedroom. They had kind of a hot pool which looked very inviting. They had a putting green and some nice walking areas. It was a very nice place. The facility seemed very good.

Countryside Village was very clean. The people were very friendly. We had a meal there, and the food was excellent. They had a nice hot tub pool. It was inside a building, which was very nice, and it was just spotless. They give transportation to the residents. They had programs for the residents, like arts and crafts and exercise. They had a beauty shop there for women and an exercise area. The place was great. It's just we couldn't afford it. The staff was very knowledgeable, extremely pleasant, and answered all our questions. They went at our pace. The facility was excellent. It's pretty new.

Rooms are nicely arranged. Food is good but not enough staff to serve so it is usually cold . Once you have been accepted you are told you can go to the next level of care when/if needed. Not so. Our loved one was on the waiting list for assisted living but when vacancies occurred the room was given to someone else not on the waiting list. That may have been because they had told our loved one that if, after a time, our loved one ran out of money they would take our loved one on Medicaid. Our loved one went into the hospital and we were immediately told our loved one could not come back, additionally, we were charged extra for not giving 30 days notice or 14 days notice if sick. Talk is cheap but no follow through here.

We have selected two places and one of them is Countryside Village. They have a full schedule of activities that residents put together. Residents have little clubs in which they can participate. They have a full-time activities director, too. I looked at the studio and the one-bedroom apartments and both had full-size kitchens because that's my mother's personal preference at this time. The courtyard has a small putting green, a fountain, a gazebo, a gardening space, and then the pool house. The food tasted homemade. The staff were very professional and very willing to spend a lot of time answering your questions. Their community liaison person spent a good full two hours with me as we went through everything. I think if you can afford the prices, it's the place to choose in Grants Pass. I think the distinct difference between Countryside Village and most of the facilities is the length of time they're willing to take with you to show you all the facilities and show you a copy of the contract, a price list, and menus, so you come away with a full folder of information. Their website was also very up-to-date.

We visited Countryside Village. It's the most expensive one in Grants Pass. They were very professional, and we liked that one very much. It was very clean and very attractive, but it was more expensive. They have cottages around the edge. We went into a cottage and that's what we fancied. It was quite big. It was a 2-bedroom, 2-bath. It's very nice. The staff who assisted us during the tour was very good. She took us back to her office afterward and talked about all kinds of things. We had lunch there, and the dining room was very attractive. The lady who helped us was very good, and there's a tall menu. There are a lot of things to choose from. It was very good. They said there was a swimming pool, which you can swim in any time because they keep it very warm. The place was beautiful.

Countryside Village had cottages, apartments, and a separate mental clinic. It's a great facility. They have studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. They have 19 cottages on-site anywhere from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom, and they had little backyards for your pets. They have guided tours in the different areas of Grants Pass and to the Wine Country. They have bingo, cards, games, and finger painting. It's a nice active place.

The rooms at Countryside Village were great. The one-bedroom and the studio were both very spacious. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Even the landscape in the wintertime was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had all kinds of activities. I saw an exercise room, an indoor pool for exercise, a room designated for playing pool, a card room, library, and movie theater. It had assisted living and cottages.

The grounds at Countryside Village were beautiful and very well kept up. The staff was very efficient. The dining area was well-laid out and very clean. Their food was good. The rooms were well laid-out, but small and very expensive.

I have written before, when my mother first went to Countryside and since. One member of their staff has touched so many hearts and still does. That is Tammy she is truly an asset in so many ways. We became life friends and I am so thankful! This facility is like family.

Countryside Village has plenty of activities for the residents, but my husband had a fall and hasn't been able to participate in their activities lately. The administration staff is very helpful, warm, and very caring.

The meals at Countryside Village were very nice. For the rooms, you can get a full kitchen that has a range and a dishwasher or with limited facilities in the kitchen like maybe a microwave and an apartment sized refrigerator, and you can use your own furnishings. They had a little shop where anybody who does crafts can put those out for sale. It was a very nice place, absolutely lovely. The lobby area has got kind of Victorian furnishings. It was very attractive to look at, and the rooms were nice. The studios were quite small, and I was figuring what we can live without when we move. They had a very nice little patio -- a bit bigger than what I've seen in other places -- with an outside entrance. They put people with animals on the first floor, and I liked that you could step outside with the dog; you can come and go through the private entrance if you wanted to, and I liked that very much.

We found Countryside Village, and we were very impressed with the cleanliness. It is upscale; the room and dining room were lovely. What I like most is the flexibility, and there were many activities; there is a swimming pool and a golf course.

I was impressed with Countryside Village. The staff were very accomodating, kind, helpful and welcoming. They even invited us to have lunch with them in the dining area. The food was excellent. The facility was beautiful but they did not have a memory care unit and they didn't have as many services that my mom would eventually need. I would recommend this place for a retired person who didn't have dementia and Alzheimer's. It would be a very nice place for them.
